The teachers and environment at PV Hills are remarkably loving, nurturing, and dedicated to teaching children invaluable lessons in compassion, self-worth, and social-emotional intelligence. We started during COVID with my oldest daughter, who later transitioned seamlessly into private school. Thanks to PV Hills, she learned how to "make a plan" when facing big feelings and gained the confidence to advocate for herself. She frequently speaks directly with her teachers about her emotional and social needs--a skill that has benefited her in every grade since. My youngest daughter just graduated from PV Hills and started kindergarten. Throughout her time here, every single teacher truly saw her for who she is, tailoring her interests and curiosities into full-fledged classroom activities. From hands-on science to inventing at the "Innovation Station," the curriculum's emphasis on nurturing creativity and process-driven learning is unmatched. If you want your child to build empathy and deep emotional intelligence--critical skills for the future--this is the place. A special shoutout to the extraordinary teaching staff: Teacher Nada: Incredibly intuitive and compassionate. She takes the time to deeply understand each child's individual strengths and helps them gently navigate their fears. Teacher Nika: A brilliant arts and creative guide who helps children channel their unique ideas into tangible, plan-based projects. Teacher Kat: Quite literally the most patient and kind educator I've ever met. I've watched her sit with struggling children and guide them into thriving with pure love and patience. Bonus: The parent community is unlike anywhere else. It's a respectful, thoughtful, and supportive network where families genuinely look out for one another. I cannot recommend PV Hills highly enough!

It was a game changer for my older son and has been an absolute dream for my daughter. The community element here is unmatched. While I believe the therapy lessons were helping, it wasn't until my son started school here that his vocabulary and speech dramatically improved. The director, Ms. Britnee and all of his teachers have been wonderful and really care for their students. My son LOVES his teacher, Ms. Jenny and is always asking about her on his way to school. My son has learned so much just in the year he's been here and he continues to learn something new every time I pick him up from school. Thank you Brighter Beginnings :)

We did a trial and I decided to immediately remove her from their care and never look back. It's truly heartbreaking to walk into a classroom where the children are doing their Christmas performance and not see your child with the rest of the kids singing. My daughter was no where to be found in the crowd of kids and she wasn't with a teacher. I panicked and looked for her on my own.. only to find her in ALONE in the adjacent classroom walking around crying in the dark. Unacceptable and would never have my child put in this kind of situation again. This was neglectful.

It becomes very clear very quickly that if you don't donate money or volunteer your time constantly your child is treated differently. Students whose parents give extra money or help out at the school seem to get special treatment and are rarely held accountable for their behavior.Meanwhile, other students are more harshly punished for the same actions or for standing up for their self against these kids that do not face punishment. There is obvious favoritism toward students who are close with staff, and their behavior is often ignored or dismissed altogether. The division between students is also very noticeable, especially between public school and private school students.Public school students are treated as if they are less important or less capable, while private school students are given more grace. Both of my children one is my daughters step sister, she is treated like a trouble maker and was told she is making the school look "bad" as if both the girls are not the same which they are.On top of that the school feels like a never-ending money grab. You have to pay for everything your kids lunch, sports, free dress day.And all this adds up quickly adding the monthly tuition i pay for especially for a school that claims to care about its students .It places far too much emphasis on money and connections rather than fairness, discipline, and equal treatment.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I wanted so much to love this place. But after…read morejust shy of eight months there, I can definitely say I don't recommend it. Aside from the first couple of weeks there, I never felt welcome as a parent at World Tots LA. I always felt rushed out when I dropped my son off, who started there at 12 months old. I would be reprimanded for dropping my son off past 9:30am. My husband works in the port and has odd hours and sometimes would only get to spend extra time with our son in the mornings when he got home. They didn't care. Despite our paying for the care, I was constantly reprimanded and given snide comments for dropping him off after 9:30. We asked the director if this was required and she said it was recommended, but apparently this wasn't relayed to the staff, who told me constantly it was a requirement. A teacher even yelled at us a few times, or raised her voice, saying that if we brought him after 9:30, we shouldn't bring him at all. My son would often come home dirty. Dried food or snot on his face. When voicing concerns, we were often met with a condescending tone from the teachers or the director. Not all of the teachers. But unfortunately, the ones who would listen and seemed to truly care were few and far between. I felt snubbed. I read the good reviews about this place. I hoped for the best. I eventually felt like I would walk on eggshells and try to be as nice as possible because I didn't want to risk anyone being unkind to my son. But we left. It wasn't worth it. Especially when there are other daycare centers in the area that are competitively priced with good programs and kind staff. I only regret not leaving sooner and hoping things would improve. The week before we left, my husband picked up my son from school with a bloodied face. He had gotten hurt on the playground, and we should have been called, but weren't. I don't know who has left these others reviews. I notice most of them are from 2,3 and 4 years ago or more. I am truly glad these families were happy with their care. I do wish I could say the same. As a fellow parent, I beg you to please look at all your options and do your research. This place has a good location, but there are also other good options in Pedro. I hesitated to write this review, but I feel like if I was being treated rudely, other parents were too, and that breaks my heart. It is so hard to leave your child in daycare as it is, and to deal with these additional stresses, it's just more than a parent should have to take. All the inspections done and what not don't take into account how the parents, the customers, are treated. And I just worry that if I'm not treated with respect and courtesy, my kid won't be either. We just want what is best for our kids.

Ms. Nikki's Butterfly Room is a toddler's paradise - filled with endless books, crafts, and experiential toys - and her ability to provide an exciting and dynamic environment for her kids, where they can grow in confidence and ability (while still providing the safe boundaries they need!), is a testament to her calling as a teacher! Our daughter absolutely adores her, Dr. Katie, and the rest of the extended Kehillah community, all of whom contribute to the vibrant and supportive culture that is growing before our eyes. It is such a heartwarming relief as a parent to have the confidence that your child is receiving superlative care and education. At Kehillah, it really does feel like a family, and we couldn't be more thrilled or proud to be a part of it!

Since coming here, I've seen him playing and interacting with the other children, which has been wonderful to see. Ms. Kathy and her teachers take the time to explain to the children that my son is nonverbal but can still play and have fun with them. That has made such a positive difference in helping him meet his goals of opening up and engaging with others. The staff keeps parents informed throughout the day about how their child is doing, and they are always willing to work with families on individual goals, such as potty training. We've recently made great progress with my son's potty training, and I'm so grateful for their support. Most of all, everyone is welcoming, kind, and respectful to both the children and their families. I highly recommend this school to any family looking for a caring and supportive environment.
