I'd always politely decline because I also know my friend and she is an extreme perfectionist, which makes for a great house keeper but sometimes not so easy to work for. But after some time and being hard up for cash, I reluctantly agreed to it and got ready, sulking all the way .. well, I was sooo wrong, she was by far the best boss I had ever had, she was also completely fair with her wages. And although my friend IS a complete "neat freak" she never asked anything ridiculous and even though she inspected when I was done, she never made you feel belittled. She was like the easiest work I had ever had . Don't get me wrong she was definitely miraculous and detail oriented as every great housekeeper should be her positive work environment made for a great work environment. She's the type of boss you want to work hard for. She inspires you to work hard because you can see her pride in her work and although it's just "home cleaning" , you can see it's so much more than that to her. It's her way of life. Her pride in her good name and her positive attitude to always go above and beyond for the satisfaction of her customers is infectious and you'll find yourself wanting to be better yourself. In short, I would definitely recommend anyone with the chance to be employed WITH her, not FOR her to strongly suggest taking the position. It's the type of job that makes you want to wake up to go to work for. And as for her cleaning, she is unbelievable. One time I let her clean me house and when I returned home from the store, I didn't even recognize my own house!! Her work completely transformed my dull, drab " bat cave" to a place that was dinner party worthy. Some was extremely thorough and ridiculously fast. Anyone who has worked with friends can normally say it's hard to mix the two, but I'm proud to say my best friend is also my best boss...
