There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

If you live locally it may be worthwhile but the drive for me was such a waste of my time for what this was. Ready? It's a: Big Wooden Castle Yep, that's it, folks. A gigantic version of that swingset-clubhouse combo you bought at Costco only to rot in your backyard because spiders and rain made it so unpleasant for kids that they refuse to use it. It's that creepy clubhouse times 30! It's pretty much a regular playground with most kids swarming the swings and other play features with a few venturing into the old wood play structure. They go in once and don't go back in again. My son was cursed at by older boys (who appeared beyond the age guidelines and I was surprised to see them still interested in a playground), and banged his head when inside the dark dank structure there was suddenly an unmarked (unlit) drastic change in ceiling height. Needless to say this experience was a turn off. It was fun to see friends and we enjoyed the togetherness of the play date but unless I'm in the area and desperate for a kid distraction, I won't be back.

The kids really enjoy running around and playing on the different playground structures, including the spinning jungle gym thing and the huge swing! In addition to that great playground, they also have a nice long trail to walk around the whole park, lots of open space to use otherwise (I've seen people playing volleyball before), other sports courts such as basketball right near the playground, and one of my favorites, the fitness court! That's a great place to do some exercises that I've sometimes seen folks do on a playground, but this one is customized for exercise. Weather's still not fully there yet, but I may get back out there soon to use that equipment again!

New playset with clubhouse attached by a bridge! Playhouse has a corkscrew style fireman pole! Main playset has a double-slide and additional single slide. Actual stairs allow easy access for toddlers, and as shown in my pics, parents can get in for easy access to all parts of this thing, so no one gets away from you. I walked all over this thing and it held me fine. It's not going anywhere! Swings have been reduced from four to just two (both baby seats), but it seemed to work out okay. Today was a busy Columbus day, and there was no line for swings. Still a bouncy seesaw thing. They kids love that! Super popular, everyone is making it hop all day long! Little ones enjoy the middle where it's less crazy! A series of graduating height/diameter bongo drums is in the corner where the xylophone used to be. My toddler loved them! I wish they were a little shorter, but he still went nuts. There are chimes to replace the xylophone, located under the clubhouse, alongside some built-in puzzles and steering wheel things. A cool new rope climbing aparatus replaces the old curved hanging bars. This is advanced for toddlers. Not sure how it fits with the vision of Tot Lot, but it satisfies older siblings who need a better challenge. There is another little car thing for toddler exploration. Has vinyl flap doors they can get in and out of, and things to steer and move around inside. The whole ground surface is freshly re-done in more rubber, this time, a mix of black and blue to hide dirt. Same fence, same rules, same latching gate. Great new play space! Thanks, Media Borough!

Verterans Park is a nice sized park that's easily accessible from multiple points. The park is…read morewell equipped with various sporting facilities, including tennis courts, volleyball nets and even a small, ver basic, skate park. There's even a location for roller hockey. There are play areas for kids, and picnic tables (including covered picnic locations) for families looking to spend some time out of doors. It can be very crowded on a nice weekend, which is both good and bad, as I'm glad that they park is being used by the Township's citizens, but at the same time, you always want the nice places all for yourself. There are parking areas on different sides of the park, and I prefer to park on the Hamilton/Whitehorse Road side, but that spot is pretty small, is popular with runners, and fills up especially fast on weekends. To make matters worse, for some reason the City recently installed E-Car charging stations there (sure, pick the smallest lot--nice work, Hamilton), so parking in those four spaces is no longer available for anyone, as the even the e-cars must leave after charging. There are well paved paths that lead through the park, and there are park maps located in a few places along the main paved paths. There are also dirt trails that lead through the more wooded areas in the park, but sadly, they are very poorly marked--meaning almost not at all, and it's up to you to figure them out. However, the park isn't so big that you can really get lost, so...go out and try to get lost, and you'll figure out the dirt trails soon enough. They aren't nearly as popular as the paved trails, so they should be your destination if the sensation of having the park to yourself is a goal. There's a dog park located by the Kuser Road entrance. There's a fenced in area for large and smaller dogs, but to be brutally honest, both areas are tiny compared to the expansive dog park located at Rosedale Park in nearby Pennington. That said, if you just want to bring your dog to a place where they can socialize and you're not worried about them having a place to run, it's fine. Just make sure you walk them through the main park itself before or after so that they can get some exercise. On the negative side, other than the poorly marked dirt trails and the underwhelming size of the dog park, the main problem in Veterans Park, which is pretty much the main problem in every park in the county. The city recently put up signs saying there will be improvements made to the paths that include separate bike lanes. It's a good idea, and a necessary one , but I'll be surprised if the people on feet respect the bike lines. Prove me wrong, Hamilton!

There is bleacher seating around the baseball fields, I'm not sure about the soccer field. You can actually rent out the fields here or the pavilion at amazingly cheap rates! It is really nice, lots of water features and a newer playground within it. My kids were entertained and could have stayed all day. As far as amenities, there are some shaded tables and a public restroom. Defintley would recommend for young kids.

Not sure which came first, the name or the fun play element. The ground is made of the rubberized pavement which is nice under foot. They have a few tables as well as some benches for parents to sit and take a break or have a little picnic. In the park there is also a few fields including a baseball diamond. Parking can be limiting because of its popularity but I haven't had any issues thus far.

The park is much deeper than it appears from the road and parking area. It includes the playground, 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a rain garden, open playing fields, and restrooms.
