This place is amazing and I wish my kiddos and I had discovered it earlier in the summer. Very clean and very well maintained with a great parking lot and bathrooms. We've been here multiple times and the kids always have a blast!

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ LOTS of super fun construction-themed rides and cool machinary activities (e.g., excavator operation, crane operation, driving tractors, etc.) for all ages that you just don't find at other amusement parks. + Very manageable layout and park size for kids. Not a huge park at all. A lot of the rides/activities are next to each other. + Water park is surprisingly huge and spacious with 3 pool areas, including a giant water slide, lazy river ANDDD an impressive wave pool that is loadddds of fun. ++++ Life-jackets are provided for free to kids. ++++ PLENTTTTY of adirondack chairs are available for park-goers to sit on and move around freely. + Multiple areas to buy food with typical amusement park pricing. ++++ Food sold includes burgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, cheese pizza, chicken sammies, giant pretzels, chicken tenders, quesadillas, nuggets, deliccccious soft serve ice cream and much more. ++++ Souvenir Cup purchases come with free soft drink refills on the day of purchase. $15.49 for a souvenir cup, while individual soft drink purchases cost around $4.50 (as of June 2026). + Multiple covered picnic tents to provide relief from the sun. + Big private parking lot has plenty of spaces. + Private parties can be booked here. THE NOT SO GOOD ----------------------------- - Activities, such as driving or operating heavy machinary, can feel repetitious when jumping from ride to ride. - Admission tickets are pricey at approximately $50 a pop. - Only open until 6 PM daily, but the water park does open at 10 AM, with the ride park opening at 12 PM. Wish they were open a bit later. MIXED THOUGHTS ---------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Visited on a scorching Sunday in early June and it was busy, but not overly so. No waits for any rides/activities. Plenty of space and seats in the water park and dining pavilions. Definitely could get busier during the summer when school is out, but early June was perfect. CONCLUSION -------------------- = Loved that the park wasn't overly crowded. The water park was surprisingly large and fun. The rides park was fun, but the construction-themed rides/activities definitely felt repetitious after a few. The price of admission could be a littttle more affordable as well.

0 stars for housekeeping -- they didn't notice our original shower was broken, they didn't clean…read morethe shower when we requested it when the floor was wet (because the shower curtains are very short). This was by far the laziest housekeeping people we've ever encountered in our lives -- instead of taking the requested dirty towels away and replacing them, they left everything on the ground and just dumped a pile of towels on the sink. Additionally, they barely made the beds -- the sofa bed was ignored while the main mattress' sheets were all touching the ground. Only the kids bunks got remade properly. We passed other rooms and it looked like they actually made the beds, so we probably got assigned the world's laziest person. Food: buffet food is meh. Restaurant food a step up. Stick with dunkin' for breakfast. Ice cream not bad, soft serve is large portions. Mirror maze was basically all broken. Only 2 things really worked when we went in, by the next day only one worked. Pay dirt (mining gemstones/fossils) was a high value activity for my kids - extra worth when you have the 25% discount. Water park is tiny and cold (there's a few small hot tubs), but has a lazy river; slushies standard ICEE brand, mini golf is sad (only like 7 holes maybe). Kids had a ton of fun at the candlestick bowling -- there's a bunch of game modes to try. Only worth if you get the unlimited. Magiquest was 4-6 hours of running around fun and defeating monsters. Wands and attachments are all upcharges from standard. Mostly can only access up and down with elevators so when one is out of order it takes forever. We didn't experience anything outdoors bc of rain.

The check in process is an absolute joke. No assistance provided whatsoever besides trying to…read moreupsell a package you don't need. I had to check with the front desk multiple times to get the correct package we actually did pay for. Parking and unloading is a nightmare. You can arrive early to use the water park, but then you either have to leave all your bags in the car half a mile away because the parking lot is horrible - or bring everything into the lobby and have someone from your party sit with it (more likely stand for 2+ hours because there's not nearly enough seating to accommodate everyone). I was charged the entire total for the stay immediately upon checking in, plus the $200+ I put down when booking the trip. A couple hours later a random $396 charge appeared on my card statement. The charge was nowhere to be found on my GWL bill. I spoke with the front desk and was told that sometimes the system randomly places authorizations on cards, and they're trying to fix it. But in the meantime, feel free to charge any additional purchases to the room, and it will just come out of that authorized amount and whatever is left over, plus the initial booking deposit will be refunded "eventually." The rooms are nice, as long as you don't require sleep during your stay. We stayed 2 nights. The first night there was a loud banging sound coming from the room above us. It went on until around 2am. It was also mentioned to the front desk and we were told to contact them if it happens again. Same thing happened the second night. Sent a text to the front desk, they sent security to investigate. The noise eventually stopped again around 2am. A couple hours later it was replaced by a loud hum/vibration that started and stopped randomly. Didn't bother reporting this one, decided to work on my review instead since sleeping wasn't as option. The water park is fine. Overcrowded and way too many band aids floating in the water, but my daughter had fun. We also pointed out the band aids but shockingly that wasn't taken seriously either. The food is adequate but way overpriced (luckily we already had that mysterious $400 authorization to cover it). Highly recommend not buying any food package and either bring your own or leave the lodge and eat somewhere else. This was our second trip here. Last year we came around the same time and had a completely different experience. Not sure what happened, but this trip has been one headache after another. I've never been as excited to check out of a hotel and drive 2.5 hours home as I am right now. 1 Star is far too generous. Negative stars.

I honestly wish I could give this place 100 stars…read more Breakwater Beach was fun pre-COVID, but I have to give credit where credit is due: they truly have gone above and beyond in order to ensure their guests are SAFE during this weird AF time. We've been going to Breakwater Beach for years. Although it is not as fancy as say Hurricane Harbor, Breakwater Beach HAS renovated in the past few years and everything is sparkly and new. While their number of attractions is on the smaller side, there is still a good enough selection of things to cool you off on a hot day. Not to mention, they have plenty of lifeguards posted at various spots in the park, and they are quick to tell a misbehaving child if they are, for example, horsing around in the wave pool. (Not that I have ANY experience with this... *side eyes rambunctious 6 year old niece*) However, during COVID, this place is DOING THE DAMN THING! Doing any sort of 'fun' activity during COVID is admittedly a calculated risk. Yet I truly felt like I was well-protected because I have never seen such an aggressive form of sanitation in my life. Breakwater Beach had designated sanitizers for all of the attractions - so you got off your inner tube, and it was immediately sprayed with sanitizer. You walked on a ride, you sanitized your hands. You flew down the 'banana slide,' screamed your face off, and handed your matt to get a thorough cleaning. Social distancing markers were everywhere and workers wore masks. I wish we took such drastic sanitation measures at my job, TBH! But the best part is...we booked a birthday party at Breakwater Beach for my rambunctious 6-year-old niece (the one mentioned above who TOTALLY WAS NOT HORSING AROUND IN THE WAVEPOOL!). We were given a designated a cabana for our partying and an associated who was in charge of the party. Shout out to Katie for being the MVP of Breakwater Beach. Holy moly, this girl did not stop for us all day - bringing water, pizza, goodie bags, ensuring everyone was happy...to be so peppy and so helpful is honestly a feather in her cap. Breakwater Beach, please give Katie a raise immediately. We were the first group to book a party there; perhaps we are crazy, but if your child has a birthday in the next few weeks and you're in the area, please inquire about having it at Breakwater Beach. Because the water park is opened at limited capacity, there was essentially no wait for the attractions, and we were able to freely ride all day, up until 6pm at night. Breakwater Beach was always clean, fun, and friendly, but now, it has really become a great place to bring the kids during COVID. Don't sit on this one! PS - their food is amazing. It's just greasy boardwalk food, but it's delicious greasy boardwalk food.
