I dropped my machine off on a Tuesday and was told the turnaround time would be approximately two weeks, with an expected return date of the 28th. When the 30th came and I still had not received a call, I contacted the store. I was told the machines only came back on Wednesdays and that I should call again Thursday. I called Thursday and was told my machine still had not returned and was given the number for the technician in Sarasota. When I called him, he seemed completely unaware of my machine. He told me he had never received or even seen it and suggested I contact the store again. When I called the store back, I finally learned what had happened: my machine had been sitting in their back room for THREE WEEKS. It had never even left the store for service. You can imagine my frustration when I then learned that the next shipment to the technician wasn't leaving for another week. At that point, they had already had my machine for three weeks, and sending it out would have meant being without it for approximately another two weeks. This isn't simply an inconvenience for me. I use my machine for orders, and I lost both time and potential income because my machine was apparently placed somewhere and forgotten. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way I felt I was spoken to when I called asking about my machine. I was made to feel as though I shouldn't be calling before the truck came back, when in reality, my machine had never been on the truck in the first place. Had someone actually checked on it during one of my earlier calls, this could have been discovered much sooner. I asked to speak with a manager but was told he wasn't there. I was eventually offered a discount if I brought the machine back, but at that point I declined. Doing so could have left me without my machine for close to five weeks total, and I wasn't willing to take that chance. I ultimately picked up my machine and took it somewhere else. I have had good experiences here in the past, which is why I am giving three stars rather than one. However, this also isn't the first time I've experienced a significant delay. On a previous occasion, they had one of my machines for about a month before I called and was eventually told the motor was bad and I needed to replace the machine. Since I own Brother machines and they are one of the Brother dealers in the area, I had hoped to continue using them. Unfortunately, after this experience, I have lost confidence in their service process. Going forward, I will make the drive to Plant City rather than bring my machines back to Tops.

I was looking for an alternative to Sears to fix my dryer, because Sears uses subcontractors. Sears…read moremay not mention this when you call them, or they may tell you the contractors work for them, but they are subcontractors. I did not want to deal with that. Plus, with Sears, they make one appointment to come to your home, assess the problem, determine what parts need to be ordered, and ask you to pay for those parts in advance. Then they make a second appointment with you for the repair after the parts have come in, which will have been mailed to your home. If the parts end up being the wrong ones, you get to start over again. I had read of too many nightmare problems with Sears repair, so I researched and found this place. I spoke with Nelson and we set up an appointment. I specifically asked for late afternoon, which turned out to be an issue. Because of that, my appointment had to be rescheduled several times, because they were not in their busy time of the year. Luckily I was not in a hurry. I know I could have called Sears and had someone out immediately, but I wanted to give these guys a shot. Finally the appointment was set, about three weeks later. Again, this was because I was requesting an appointment for after 4 p.m. If I could have done an earlier appointment, the work could have been done sooner. But I tell you this in case anyone needs a late afternoon appointment and it is a certain time of year for them. Justin came out and did the work by himself, even though I have a stacked washer/dryer unit. But he handled it fine. Sears would have sent two people. All Brands Appliance could send two people as well, but they would charge extra for it. And really, there was no need. My stacked unit (the type I had) did not have to be removed from its position. Justin was very polite and neat, too. And they had gotten enough information from me that they were able to have the likely parts on hand for the job. Sure enough, Justin had the right parts to fix my dryer. It was done in one appointment. And at a very fair price. So the work was done in one appointment, not two, which is the way this company tells me they prefer to work (unless it is unavoidable and unforeseen parts have to be ordered). The business of the first appointment is not just to diagnose your problem and then leave. It is to show up with the necessary parts to fix your problem in hand and fix the problem. And I like that business model. Again, it may not always work, if while diagnosing something unexpected comes up. But I like it a lot better than Sears' model. They also have a 90-day warranty backing their work. I called because I thought I heard a sound, and they said if I wanted them to come back out to let them know. But I did not hear it again, so no need. Highly recommend for appliance repair.

Update--Changed review from 1 star to 3 stars. Excellence Appliance made good faith efforts to resolve the original microwave oven installation issue. First technician left us with an oven which was not leveled back to front. However, after communicating with their custonmer service, and at our request, a second technician was assigned to our install. He was skillful and knowledgeable and worked with us to correct the leveling issue, and the swinging door problem has been resolved. We will contact Volodymyr in future should we ever need appliance services again.
