My husband and I just got married this month and spent a year and a half planning our wedding. We love deep house music and wanted a really good house/EDM DJ for our wedding. When we were planning, we wanted to splurge on two things: a great venue with an epic view and delicious food, and the best DJ we could find so that we could dance all night. We hired Kevin to DJ our wedding because he came highly recommended and after listening to his sets on SoundCloud, it was a no brainer!! He came to set up at our wedding in Dana Point on time (actually early!) and played every single song we had requested, but also included some of his own music to keep things interesting and to keep everyone dancing. We got so many compliments from our guests, even our photographers on how awesome of a DJ he was!!! Our photographer said, "We have done a lot of weddings and your DJ is too good.. he's not a wedding DJ!" Haha! Even though the wedding was 2 weeks ago, our guests are still telling us that they're having wedding withdrawals because it was just too fun. Yes, this is my first Yelp Review.. Method Entertainment / Paul Sembrano did an amazing job for my daughter's cotillion.. worthy of my first review. Feb. 2017 - Planning stages of my daughter's cotillion, my sister-in-law's sister, Jackie referred me to Paul. She said Paul was an old school mate and is a great DJ. March 2017 - Started to get in touch with Paul and he was very professional and accommodating to what I wanted for my daughter's event. I wanted this special monogram and Paul went out of his way to make sure the Gobo was exactly how we wanted it to be. I wanted an emcee and Paul suggested Julian Lee from wild 94.9. Only gets better from here.. April 2017 - As we got closer to the day of the event, I was slacking on the program and song list. Paul even provided a sample program and song list to give me an idea of things. April 30, 2017 - Day after my daughter's prom, I asked her how it went.. all she said was the DJ was lit. I told Angel I need a song list for her cotillion. And so she asked her school friend who coordinated their prom for their prom song list. I in turn gave that song list to Paul for Angel's party. Paul comes back to me and says, Hey does your daughter go to Mills High, because this is the same song list we did for their prom... Holy smokes, what a coincidence that I contracted with the same DJ from Angel's prom. I think its FATE! May 6, 2017, Saturday - Cotillion Day.. Everyone had a blast! Paul and Julian were ON POINT! During the reception, Paul played music that caught everyones ear and got them reminiscing. Since I was busy fixing things, I really don't know what Paul played but I got so many compliments from my guests. Throughout the program, Julian did an excellent job keeping things going and keeping the audience hyped up. After the program, all I know is the lights went dark and everyone was on the dance floor. I only got to see them DJ at a small event they spin for when I was in town. They offer great music selections! I think what I love most is that most DJs are ALL house music, and that's it. These guys have EVERYTHING. I mean they have reggaeton, hip hop, old school r&b, soul, funk, disco, blues, jazz, soft rock, country. If they don't have it, you tell them and they'll get it for you. Some DJs are pretty snobby when comes to requesting music. I would sometimes request a song and they would NEVER play it unless I tip them BIG for a song. I went up to them and requested Who Booty and they played it two songs later! I didn't even have to tip them! They're a friendly crew and after talking to them, they grow mostly by word of mouth. They do all sorts of gigs from playing at your botique, opennings, graduation, wedding, prom, and they even host summer teen parties! They're very diverse, and they offer different price packages to tailor to your DJ party needs, and equiptment. I don't really know the price for sure as I haven't booked them for anything yet. However, as far as service and performance goes. They're a really fun and a cool local DJ. Wow, what can I say, these guys are fantastic. I choose Method Entertainment because I saw them DJ at my friends wedding. Prior to my wedding day, My fiancée and I met up with Kevin who went over details of what they offered and gave suggestions to help us out. He listened patiently and was very responsive and understanding of what we wanted. We gave them a list of songs we wanted them to play which they were able to do at the wedding. On the day of the wedding, in addition to our songs they played some of theirs from their playlist which was a big hit to our guests. The fiance and I were out looking for a DJ/MC/lighting package when a friend of mine told me about Paul @MethodEntertainment. We could already tell from our first phone call that Paul would give us a night we would never forget. He was so detail oriented and easy to work with, that we were at ease knowing that the DJ and emcee were 2 less things we had to stress over. We communicated in person and over the phone several times over the course of the planning and he was so accommodating in working the kinks in our schedule. After seeking out tons and tons of DJ estimates for my wedding reception (and realizing how expensive these services can be) my husband and I almost decided to just play music off of an IPod for our wedding reception. I was let down by 2 other DJ's, one which was a day prior to the wedding and Paul with less than a days notice saved the day. he showed up before everyone got there and was already set up. with no time to rehearse he had all the song set for the wedding (wedding march, first dance, father & bride dance, etc...) and played them all perfectly on cue. Other than a few traditional songs that my family wanted to be played, we gave Paul extreme liberty in choosing the music line-up. Where do I start with Paul and his team from Method Entertainment. We hired him for our wedding a year before our actual wedding date because I wanted to make sure I had the best dj for my wedding. He drove all the way across the bridge to meet with my husband and I and from that moment at our first meeting I already knew I wanted him and Method Entertainment to be our Dj, emcee, and photo booth for our wedding. I told exactly what I wanted and he came through with everything as promised and he stayed with in my budget which was amazing. We all know that weddings are super expensive so that fact that he stayed within my budget and still gave me EVERYTHING the bride requested which I will forever appreciate because all the little extra details made my day that much more special!!! Paul was very responsive with all my emails and texts and was very easy to talk to even with all my changes. He has a wedding worksheet for the couples to fill out for their big day which was very easy and simple! He even stayed in contact with me a couple days before the wedding just to make sure he had the songs right. I have to admit the song that I did walk down the aisle to was actually the wrong song as I wanted the acoustic version and they played the faster version but it's alright. I didn't really notice it till I seen video's. No biggie though as they still gave exceptional service throughout my whole wedding!! They had everyone at my wedding on the dance floor dancing and having fun and even including older songs for the older people which I appreciated. Their equipment was updated and met high standards in terms of quality. They brang more equipment than necessary and really understood how to work with the crowd. They worked well with others and with the elders and grown folks. They know their music genres. Their abilities and control of mixing music and developing blends and scratching methods distinguish them the most. Other companies low ball the price for quality Disc Jockeys, but if your into great quality events with the members being professional in all aspects, I would recommend Method Entertainment. If your on a low budget, they would still try to work on a deal that can work for you and them. This is a great group of individuals whom try to produce the quality their customers deserve. Paul and his crew DJ'd our wedding on September 30th in Sacramento and there are not enough words to express how amazing they were.
