He answered all my dumb questions and even was happy to give me pointers on how things work, and more importantly, the proper way. There was a little confusion on the Rainbird 3500 that took some chatting with the manufacture to clear up. During the busy season, he's a couple of weeks out. That's a good thing since he came highly recommended and doesn't advertise. Robert is knowledgeable, fair with his time, friendly, and gives it to you straight. If it's going to be a lot of work, he'll tell you. He won't try to give you a low estimate just to get you to say yes then jack up the price.

We first started working with them in 2015 when we did a remodel of our deck and upper back yard. They demo'd the old deck, WOOD slat roofing, old hot tub and enclosure, gray cinder block patio and removed all railroad tie retaining walls in our back yard. They excavated the existing yard to accommodate a much larger lower patio (Sienna colored to match the Red Rocks they placed.) They brought in new red sandstone boulders and stone steps for the new patio and into the side yard. Their expert placement of the large stone steps and side rockwork resulted in a beautiful and inviting attraction. They went to great efforts to prevent damaging the existing front yard throughout the whole construction process. They replanted our gardens and they were beautiful the following Spring. We were so pleased that the following year, we had them clear, level and landscape a previously unused lower terrace behind our existing yard into to low maintenance Zeroscape with new red rock path and red rock steps and other stone formations. They created a granite rock retaining wall with all the rocks on and in the hill. It is gorgeous! They planted desert plants that go with all our metal cactus yard art. They put in a new irrigation system to keep the lower area "hydrated" They put large red rock steppingstones from gate to grass and put medium rocks around our tough shed and it looks so clean, fininished and nice. They also do our fall leaf cleanup and we have trees everywhere! They "de-leaf the gardens as well as the lawn and it looks awesome for Christmas. They send a team out to cut, edge and clean up clippings. Our yard is BEAUTIFUL and Western Sun keeps it looking great year round. We recommend this awesome company to anyone wanting a nice yard. Let me first start with the positive. 1)Richard and his…read moreteam were very friendly and were able to get our backyard done quickly, so we were very happy with that. 2) The final price was lower than expected which was a pleasant surprise. 3) Richard and his crew were happy to replace a few shrubs that were planted that had died, which we appreciated. Now the negative... 1) We were sent a list of trees and shrubs that we were to choose from. When we made our selections with a clear idea of what we wanted, we felt pressured into doing things the way Richard wanted. 2) Several of the plants already looked unhealthy upon arrival. I mentioned this to Richard and he said they'd bounce back. It would be nice to have plants installed that look good from the beginning, but according to Richard, our plants were ordered when it was very cold, so having unhealthy looking plants would be inevitable. 3) When they installed our curbing, they installed it directly on top of our sprinklers. I asked them to fix it but did not hear back for a few days, so I simply took care of this myself. Our curbing was also supposed to be stamped - this was not done. All in all, we weren't thrilled with the process or communication, but we were happy with the price, results, speed and owner's diligence in correcting any issues.
