Our family has had such a wonderful experience at Montessori Academy of West Adams over the past…read moretwo years. From the very beginning, we were drawn to their individualized academic approach, which truly allows each child to grow at their own pace while building confidence and a genuine love of learning. It has been incredible to watch our daughter thrive in an environment that recognizes her unique strengths and encourages her curiosity every single day. The teachers are absolutely amazing--warm, attentive, and deeply committed to making every child feel supported and valued. We especially appreciate all the extra thought and creativity that goes into making her early school years so memorable, from engaging activities to special events that bring so much joy to my daughter. Thanks to this wonderful community, our daughter's first experiences with school has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we are so grateful to be part of it.

We cannot say enough about how special MAWA is. Choosing a preschool is such an important decision,…read moreand we feel endlessly grateful that MAWA became the foundation of our daughter's early childhood. The directors, administrative team, and teachers are truly exceptional. They bring so much intention, warmth, and care to everything they do. It is clear that they see and value each child as an individual, and they create an environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired to explore the world around them. Our daughter has grown into such a thoughtful, curious, creative, and kind little person, and MAWA played an enormous role in that. She learned not just academic fundamentals, but how to be a good friend, how to express herself, how to ask questions, and how to move through the world with confidence and empathy. There is something truly magical about this school. It is a community in the fullest sense of the word, and the impact extends far beyond the classroom. We will always be grateful to MAWA for helping shape who our daughter is becoming. It is an extraordinary place, and any family would be lucky to be part of it.

It seemed like I had landed a few dream jobs only for it to slip away from me. Really trying times. Then I met Michelle! This brings a smile to my face. Meeting with her felt like chatting with a friend. I realized after that this is her skill. She loves people and wants to represent both the families and the nannies. It was a slow period and she didn't have any job opportunities at the time when I signed up with her agency, the perfect placement. After being on the hunt for my top nanny job with a kind family for many months and it wasn't happening I was getting ready to move out of state. I mentioned to Michelle that I'm no longer looking for a position as it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Michelle didn't give up on me. She called me with 2 opportunities. I went on both interviews and was called back to do a trial for the one that I wanted !! Yay !! Then Michelle negotiated some time off that I needed to take care of a health issue. The family was so wonderful they waited for me ! All I can say everything lined up perfectly. Michelle will always return your call in a timely manner and she always checks in to see how you're doing. I thank God I met Michelle !

Hi all- I'm a Mom of two boys, one with a rare neurological disorder, and the other really active…read more I thought it would be impossible to find a caregiver/ nanny/ assistant to help me with running my home and giving my kiddos the best care when I'm unavailable. I looked at YELP and found Perfect Placement. I crossed my fingers and called. Michelle was professional, energetic, and so positive! She was confident that she could find someone to meet our unique needs and I was happily surprised. Within days, she had multiple candidates for me to interview and we found the most incredible woman, who has truly been the perfect fit for our family. We could not be happier. Michelle also assisted me in setting up payment services etc for our employee and it was all so seamless and easy. Throughout the process, Michelle was knowledgeable, reassuring and responsive. Thank you Michelle for everything! I cannot recommend her enough!

Before my kid started TK at LAUSD I enrolled him here during the summer. This was the place that…read moregot him to love arts & crafts. Got him interested to use scissors (found out he's a lefty here and provided him lefty scissors) and through his art class made some classy stuff. Pieces that are still on the walls of our house. Stuff he made for Father's Day that is still sentimental to the hubby. They go on monthly field trips (like Kidspace) but what's cool is that they utilize Metro or Dash to the city library for magic shows, story time, puppet shows, or to parks like Grand Park (splashing around). It is affiliated with a Japanese Buddhist church so they do go to the Hondo for some gassho and singing with the minister in the morning (15 mins). From observation the families that utilize this resource are very diverse--I would even say that Japanese families are in the minority here. I am of the group that chose this place due to its proximity to my workplace, and I think others have too. Ms. Susan has been director for quite some time and I've personally seen old students now adults say hi to her at Nishi obon. Staff are very kind and nurturing. The daycare is nicely situated in a space that is shaded so they aren't going to roast when playing outside. Even now as my kid is enrolled at public school TK I still take him here during LAUSD winter breaks, or the myriad of "no instruction days" on their calendar. They take kids up to age 6 so this has been a godsend to me. Kids as young as 2 must come potty trained. Currently monthly tuition is $1170 might be $50 lower per month if you pay to become a temple member.

But Ms. Susan, Ms. Maria, Ms. Gaby, and the whole team are so loving, that my fears melted away immediately. They made my son know that he belonged, and that they looked forward to seeing him every day. The teachers really get to know the kids, their strengths and needs, and develop an individual plan for each one to help them grow intellectually and personally. Each year, they complete an academic and social-emotional evaluation for each child, and it's amazing to see how much personal detail goes into the daily activities. The Nishi Center isn't just a school, it's a real community, both for the kids and the parents. Some of my son's classmates have parents who went to Nishi when they were kids thirty years ago, and they drive across town to give their kids the same great experience. My younger child just started at Nishi, and I'm so glad that we get to continue our relationship with this beautiful group of people in this very special community.
