She treats all the children like her own. She is warm and loving. She gives children space to grow and explore within a healthy framework with gentle guidance. She imbues her entire team with this mindset, and they follow her lead. We did exhaustive research and sent our daughter to BrightHorizons for three years because it was closer to work. We seriously regret not sending her to Ms. Bana, because our son is more advanced socially and academically, and as a result scored in the top .001% on a cognitive exam and was accepted into a very elite private elementary school. We attribute most of this achievement to Ms. Bana's approach and style. We have no connection to Ms. Bana or Westside Montessouri other than professionally (there is no underlying bias here). We just know how frustrating it is to look and look for the right place for your child. Well, look no further, you've found the right place.

Her days are filled structured activities that help her develop academically, socially, physically, etc., but in a very age appropriate and fun way. The school also feels very secure/safe. Our daughter genuinely enjoys going to WH for school each day and is very close with the other students and teachers. Their individuality and independence are front and center, but they're also learning to coexist with their friends in a productive way. Conflict is always resolved from a place of respect and understanding. The teachers and staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and truly invested in each child. I could write a paragraph about each teacher individually and the bonds they've created with our kids. In addition, they are extremely thorough in their approach and go to great lengths to deep dive into anything related to early childhood development. It feels like they have researched everything on the topic to the benefit of our children. Our older son thrived here both socially and emotionally, and we saw such beautiful growth in his confidence, independence, and love of learning during his time at the school. When he first started, he was timid and insecure, because we unfortunately had tried attending two other schools that were nothing like Early Years. Watching him graduate felt like watching another person from who he was walking in. Now seeing our younger son walk in excited every day reassures us all over again that this is a truly exceptional environment. At the time of writing this, we are traveling, but our son still asks to go to "yellow group" every day. Now that our daughter has made her way into the world, there's no question about where she'll be spending her early years *wink* The communication with parents has always been supportive and the classrooms are warm, clean, nurturing, and thoughtfully structured. It's worth noting that one of the teachers is an art teacher, so their art room alone makes me as an adult want to go back to preschool. The security guards even build a little relationship with the children, they started this this security thing where parents or whoever picks up children wear a green neck badge, seems to work fine. Parking lot is aways clean but not enough space for dropping off and picking up between thr enter and exit, I mean the street I'd just too small but it works. The kids get breakfast lunch and a snack. They learn simple dining rules and considerations, the center helps parents with potty training, during spring time our girl loves the soccer program they have for her. They also posted images showing my and my wife's full names and our phone numbers and email addresses. I'm shocked they would commit a potential crime out of petulance. Posting our family's private information is a possible misdemeanor under California Penal Code § 653.2 PC (posting harmful information on the internet). They must be in financial trouble to go such egregious means and keep our deposit of slightly over $1,000; and not think about the loss of potential clients from our negative online reviews and how we've told several new parents in west Los Angeles to not even consider this child care provider because of our very poor experience. Again, avoid this place like the plague!

This review is long overdue, but better late than never…read more Due to the pandemic, we were hesitant about starting our daughter in school, but when the time came to enrolled we decided to do our research. We looked into and toured a number of schools around the area. Many were beautiful, with gorgeous classrooms, facilities, and supplies. However, not one of these schools asked about our daughter, her interests, or her progression up to that point. It was extremely off-putting, and felt akin to someone selling us a car; very cold and robotic. When we went to tour Dreamland we were met by Anna, who was incredibly personable and informative. She showed us around and began asking about our daughter. She inquired about her social progress, as well as how far along she was in other subjects. They literally were the only school who actually showed in interest in our daughter rather than our wallet! We were invited back to tour with our daughter, who instantly took to the school as well as the teachers and instructors. It's not the flashiest school, but never judge a book by it's cover. They are open 7:30-5:30 (which is incredible for a working family) and feed the children a breakfast snack and lunch. Tuition is beyond reasonable, especially for everything they provide. We have just concluded Pre-K and will be moving on, but what Dreamland has given to us and our family is immeasurable. We were incredibly lucky to find such a wonderful school, who cares not only about education but the children in general (when we moved to the valley last year we kept our daughter in Dreamland and commuted. That's how amazing this school is!). Everyone was like family. We've made friendships that will endure, and we are indebted to Anna, Yev, Ms. Leticia, Ms. Norma, Ms, Fari, and all of the other wonderful people that make up Dreamland. THANK YOU! We are sad to go, but they've build an incredible educational foundation that we are excited to encourage.
