I just moved to NYC, and I'd say the single largest heartbreak about leaving Los Angeles, my home for almost a decade wasn't leaving behind my home, my work, or anything like that. It was taking my kid away from the best daycare in the entire Los Angeles area, Happyland daycare. I'd argue to say it's the best daycare in America, but I don't want to be seen as "over the top". (that's just my personality lol.) Anyhow, all jokes aside, as a first time mother with no family on my or my husband's side in the US at all, they were my village. Not only are they extremely fairly priced, but they took the best care of my baby. She was so happy to go to daycare every single day she always giggled and clapped her hands as we pulled up to Monika's door. The second that door opens, my daughter leaps into her or Olga's arms. You can't buy this feeling of safety and security. I know this and I didn't even have such high expectations going in. I was just a tired mom, desperate for help and a spare pair of hands to help me so I could get my life back. But Monika and Olga exceeded my expectations. I had no idea that they'd make this heavy of a mark in my heart because no nanny, daycare center or service I've had since has come close to their level of care. Their amazing meals (literally the best most organic foods available in the market), the art projects they did, the friends she made, it was so smooth and low drama and honestly not replaceable at all. Nothing comes close to Happyland. I wish I could move back to LA just to be near them, but alas I understand that isn't possible because of my husband's work. So I'll just have to leave this note, as a testament from one mother, to another; if you're reading this, your baby is safe and loved with them. Please consider Happyland over anywhere else, as I know what it's like to need this peace of mind. If you're reading this Monika/olga, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Cannot recommend enough. We started our child here at 12 months old and wish we had started sooner. Monika and her whole team couldn't have taken better care of him - from food to play and activities, daily videos and pictures. Ivy and her team welcomed us with open arms and lots of love, Emma began to develop an amazing connections with the staff. Best daycare experience for both my daughter and myself. My husband and I brought our daughter at 11 months old to Laura who is like the child whisperer. She just knew how to handle our little girl who is a highly sensitive and over emotional soul. She offered the reassurance we needed to have as parents so we can go to work with a peace of mind knowing our daughter was well cared for, loved and in an environment where she was learning, developing her vocabulary at a rapid speed and overall visibly happy to be in. Being originally from New York, daycares like Happyland are very hard to come across and we felt very lucky that if there was something that worked out for us during our two years living in LA, was finding Laura's daycare. Now that we are back in in NY after our daughter spent a little over a year at Happyland, we realize how fortunate we were. One of the things we miss the most is the delicious and healthy food Laura prepared daily for her kids. My daughter learned to love eating vegetables because it was incorporated in her meals and it's clear they were tasty for my kid to come home and ask for more. The birthday celebrations was an additional touch that made the kids feel so special. the seasonal holiday events that would include dress up characters or animals. It's the overall attention and dedication Laura and her team put into their profession that shows the genuine love for what they do and the purity of how they do it. If we go back to LA again in the next few years, there's no doubt we would bring our daughter and our newest daughter to Laura. read more

Honestly, this daycare/preschool is the best. We brought our son here after being at Andi's Daycare for a year and within two weeks we saw major improvements. There is so much enrichment here - they truly take the time to work with your child and it shows. Everyone on staff here is reliable, communicative, warm and amazing. They make every single meal in house and somehow managed to get our picky toddler to try new things that he would never try at home therefore expanding his palate and making all of us happy! In addition to the above, the school is open year round and for us (we work in production) not having to scramble for additional care (and more $$) for long breaks during the summer and winter and every other holiday under the sun was an amazing stress taken off our plate. Laura runs a very amazing daycare/preschool for the kids. She cares SO MUCH about each and every one of them and it shows. During the holidays she throws parties for the kids with Santa, trolls etc, with a huge spread of food. They even get each of the kids birthday, Christmas and graduation presents - they truly go above and beyond. Our son learned so much at Happyland and we're sad to move him to the next step but we know it's what is best for him. We had such a horrible experience leaving our first daycare but when we told Laura he got into Montessori and he would be moving on she cried happy tears because although she was sad to see him go, she knew he was ready and gave me a huge hug. It meant the world. She has the most beautiful heart and we're so glad that our son had the chance to be with her and her team. We love Happyland! We brought our son to Laura and the Happyland ladies when he was just 9 months old. I was nervous and conflicted about putting him into a daycare, and I soon learned I chose the right one! Our son thrived at Happyland, and grew into a sweet, kind and loving boy. He made the best friends, including the ladies who cared so deeply for him. They make three meals a day for the kids, including homemade soup! They also have the best parties for holidays and birthdays! Happyland has become part of our family. In fact, when we moved, we commuted from Northeast LA every day because the care he received was trusted, disciplined and wonderful. This is the most wonderful place to send your baby or toddler to. My husband and I started taking our son there when he was a little over 1 year old. I had to go back to work and it was not an easy choice to have our little one spend a whole day somewhere. But we were so fortunate to find HappyLand. He's been going there for almost 2 years, and now we moved to another part of town and had to say goodbye to it. It was heartbreaking for us, especially since we are not able to find anything comparable in our new area. Just a few notes on this place: - They cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, all homemade meals and this is included in tuition. - The place is always immaculately clean. They teach kids to take their shoes off when they go inside, wash their hands, put shoes on when they go outside etc. - They have 2 outdoor playground areas, in front and back, perfect size, clean and manicured with great variety for kids. - The care for the child is exceptional. They tell you every day when you pick him up what he ate, how much, what has happened during the day. They encourage them to use potty and help train them, they were cutting my son's nails and toe nails when I had serious trouble getting him to sit still. They even do hair cuts for your little ones if you ask for it. They really go well beyond your highest expectations. - Play and learning: They do projects with kids and teach them through play many things. My son knew full alphabet (and not just to say it but to recognize and read the letters) and he surprised me by knowing how to count all the way to 39 by the time he was 2.5. This is something I didn't even expect him to learn there... - They do music classes, teaching children to sing songs. They do parties on Halloween and Christmas and Birthday parties that parents are encouraged to attend. These parties are wonderful, all the kids sing songs and have fun. - Another great perk: If you are going to be late picking up your kid for some reason, they offer a very affordable hourly rate to have your kid stay longer. They don't charge ridiculous punishment fees you'd find in a lot of other day cares. Of course, it's better to have this arranged ahead, but they are very understanding of emergency situations too and always do their best to help. - And a little note on the kind of people they are: once I got a flat tire right in front of their door as I came to pick up my son and they immediately summoned help from their friends that were close by and had my tire replaced in a matter of 10 minutes. No questions asked, no charge, just helping a person in need... What else can I say? I will miss HappyLand very much. Their staff is amazing and so caring. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about HappyLand. My son has been going there for 10 months (since he was 10 months old). The staff at HappyLand is very caring and my son transitioned there very easily when he began. The serve home cooked meals including a daily soup made with tons of veggies. Recently my son had to have surgery and they were so so good about taking care of him in the days after he returned; keeping me posted on everything and anything.The owner will send you a text message if there is anything you need to know. Sometimes just a photo, like when my son first figured out how to use the slide by himself. They have wonderful holiday parties and always let me bring my older daughter that goes to another preschool nearby. They also always make sure to have a goodie bag or gift for her which is so sweet. They even encouraged me to bring my daughter when they had the professional photographer come for the winter photo so I could use the photo for my xmas cards. We spent a really long time researching and viewing various daycares for my daughter, the moment we walked through the door at Happyland, I knew it was the one for us. Laura is wonderful. She has created an environment where the kids feel safe and secure and all act as a little family. Every birthday is celebrated and the effort put into creative activities is A+. Our daughter flourished in so many ways, her confidence, speaking, focus, learning new skills and making new friends. When we decided to move out of the area, our greatest sadness was taking our daughter out of Happyland - so many happy memories. I cannot say enough about how much I love Happyland. It was truly a blessing to find Laura and her team. Our daughter was with them for just over a year before we moved out of state and had to leave. While she was at this school, she learned so many things. She is only 20 months old and she knows how to politely ask for things, she cleans up her toys when asked and she puts her shoes away every day (and sometimes she'll even put away mommy's shoes too!) She learned so many songs at this school, and sings her favorite (Baa Baa Black Sheep) all the time. She has learned counting and they were working on the alphabet before we left. The teachers are great at teaching the kids good behavior and how to treat each other - and how to say 'I'm sorry' and give a hug when necessary as well. The daycare is always clean and the toys are all in great condition. Ms. Laura does a fantastic job with the menu as well. They have fun birthday parties for the kids, and a really awesome Halloween and Christmas party that the parents are also invited to attend. We're really going to miss this place. What a blessing it was to find HappyLand! My son attended there for almost a year before we moved out of the area and sadly had to leave. My son still talks about Mrs. Laura, Mrs. Anna, Miss Siri and even the 2 teachers he didn't see all the time, Mrs. Gohar and Mrs. Lena. All the teachers are so warm and loving, but I will say they have a very professional, stern side as well which I appreciate. The kids don't get away with anything, meaning, if they do something wrong they are immediately corrected in a positive manner and the parents are told. The facility is absolutely spotless and often smells of Pine Sol which I LOVE. The children are fed breakfast, lunch, snacks and soup everyday. I will highlight soup because my son would talk about what kind of homemade soup he had everyday :). He loved it and I know he was getting tons of veggies everyday. Also, no fruit juices- only milk and water AND no TV! So great. My son just attended his first day at his new Preschool today, a Montessori, and the teachers were impressed that he, at not even 3 years old, already knows his letters, how to spell his name, his numbers up to 10 and has a huge vocabulary. I attribute a lot of this to Mrs. Laura and the women of HappyLand. We were truly sad to leave. read more

Started taking my 3 1/2 year old here and we both love it. The staff is SUPER friendly. All meals are provided (home made and usually pretty healthy). Also, it is a great learning environment. I am surprised that I am the first to give a review as all of the other parents I have ran into during pickups and dropoffs also love the place. Tuition is also very reasonable for the area. My two little boys both go to Happyland and have been there for nearly two years. We were lucky enough to move from our old daycare to this one with a couple of kids that we already knew, but that didn't stop our guys from making a bunch of new friends along the way. I love knowing that my boys are in a clean and safe learning environment where the people that watch over them are only a text or phone call away. My sweet girl was so filled with joy when I picked her up today! Thank you Laura!! Where to begin well our girl started at Happyland about a year ago and it has been the most delightful transition. We've celebrated her 2nd birthday with her friends at Happyland along with Thanksgiving and Christmas as Laura gives the most epic holiday parties and in the spirit of giving allow me to use that as a proper segue to tell you that when my family had an emergency and we had to abruptly pull our girl out Laura was so very understanding, so much so that she's allowed her back now that my husband and I are back on our feet. I really can't say enough great things about Happyland! Both of my sons love it here, and as a working mom I love knowing they are in a loving, calm and relaxed learning environment. Laura and Lilit have been like second moms to my boys. They can handle any situation and child with understanding and professionalism. I have referred many of my friends here and they all love it. It doesn't get better than this. The space is always immaculate and the play areas are fantastic. The food is all home cooked and smells amazing. They have an adorable chalkboard with the menu on it, which helps me out when planning dinner for the night! Laura and company are absolutely amazing. We put two daughters through and would do it again a million times over. They teach great manners and socialization skills, and really jump start learning letters, numbers, new words, and songs. My oldest daughter just started a private pre-K and she is at the top of her class with what she learned at HappyLand. This place was a God send after a few negative experiences with another facility. The owner Laura is very professional and maintains an immaculate and safe environment for the kids with plenty of toys, playground equipment, and structured activities to keep them happy and engaged throughout the day. The teachers work very well together providing a good balance of discipline and affection, and give you a report on how your child did that day. I found them very knowledgeable and helpful in navigating the various developmental stages of my daughter who was there for two and 1/2 years. She made many friends and was always well-fed and well groomed at the end of the day when I came to pick her up. Kids all played nicely together. These ladies are organized and on it. My son started at HappyLand when he was about a year and a half. He's 3 now, and because of HappyLand, he's incredibly social and caring. Aside from the warm teachers, a few things i love about the school is it's kept extremely clean and Miss Laura cooks them lunch everyday. As a working mom, it's hard to leave your child with someone else. I did not for one minute worry about him in the hands of Miss Laura and the other teachers.
