My husband was in excellent physical condition when he went in and was in terrible shape when he was released. Using a walker. He has dementia and unfortunately had made comments to the wrong people about wanting to die so that's how he ended up there, he was classified as a 1013. I would never recommend this mental hospital to anyone. He was still pretty sharp when he went in but came out worse mentally. I read reviews and totally agree with the negative reviews. Not many positives other than the food.

This is an unacceptably bad hospital with very poor quality care. When a loved one goes in, there is NO communication and no help given to any family members in trying to check in about the loved one's health. Calls are not returned, even if you keep calling and calling, leaving family members distressed. The minimum of psychiatric help is given. Some staff members were verbally abusive to our son. We were so thankful to get him OUT of this place. We really can't say anything good about it, except that we are thankful he survived the experience in order to find a much better place that really provides effective care.

If I had read the reviews prior to going, I wouldn't have gone. Honestly, zero stars is more…read moreappropriate. I went to the walk-in and spent the better part of a day there, filling forms and answering the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS to an intern (who was very nice... we sat together in her office for over an hour waiting to see the doctor after the questionnaire was completed). Dr. Hashmi spent less than 15 minutes with me and made me feel very small. He prescribed a medication and gave me a free sample... a medication that is fairly well known for being rejected by insurance companies until you've at least tried a cheaper alternative. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when their own pharmacy sent me a message that my $650/month medication was ready to be paid for and picked up. I ended up having to do all the leg work with the insurance company to find out why it was rejected and what medications had to be looked at first. I spent over 2 weeks calling on a daily basis, sometimes being forced to leave a message (that was never responded to) or speak to every single pharmacist they have (all of which said they would talk to the doctor and get back to me... of which a total of ZERO called me back). Now, a month later, I finally get a hold of someone at the front desk and they inform me that they overcharged me for the deductible. It should have been $60 but they charged me $125. She refunded the $65 but refused to refund the $60 even though I have to do ALL this again with another doctors office. Even if they called me before clicking the Post Review button to tell me they approved the alternative, I wouldn't take it from them. How can I possibly trust them now? The front desk said I need to see Dr. Hashmi again to get the alternative prescribed, which I DON'T. He can easily change the prescription since he's already seen me but after a month of trying to get this resolved, I give up. If someone is thinking "Just charge back the $60"... I already thought about that and tried. Unfortunately since the doctor walked into the room, it's not a winning case for me (and I'm sure they know that). The doctor is a business man with a PHD, not the other way around. You're a $$$ to them, not someone that they care about. One review said "Run, don't walk away from this place" and they were exactly right. I knew I should have done that the second I walked into their waiting room and saw a young woman have a mental breakdown in front of me. She had to be carried out (not carried to the back where she'd be cared for). The second sign was after being forced to sit beside someone who hadn't showed in weeks and was arguing with himself. It was like a scene from a movie. They could have just refunded the $60 to try and undo the stress this all caused, especially since I have to do all this over again with another doctor (somewhere else, which goes without saying at this point). Don't take my word for it, the other reviews speak to what care you'll receive here. Seek help from a professional (doctor, not businessman).

Be prepared for an absolute disappointment in regards to mental health practices or standards when…read morecoming to this clinic. All but one of the doctors are mentally competent (Dale who is no longer there) enough to assess your needs, but prepare to be a legal science experiment. Kris in particular will prescribe you an excessive amount of "trial/ sample" medication for none of the symptoms you are there for all because of a few catered lunches from drug reps. Unfortunately the lack of experience shows when they prescribe stimulants to people who have anxiety or prescribe antidepressants/SSRI to patients who have bipolar. So if you value your mental health and do not want to risk a life crisis through a mid-diagnosis. Do not come here.
