I work for a Community Program that runs after school programs and vacation week programs for school age children in Chelmsford. We had contacted Steve about him possibly coming and running a dance party over February vacation week. I had MANY questions for him and I also did a few referance checks on this DJ myself instead of just reading reviews. To be honest we have had programs run through here that seem to be great when you read the reviews but in actuality turn out to be nothing like we had hoped. One of Steve's referances stated that he goes above and beyond and that he is a returning to their program from year to year. So we hired Steve and decided to have him run two seperate groups at our vacation program. Unfortunatly the day that he was scheduled to come we had a snow storm coming so I called him and emailed him to ask if he could come in earlier due to the snow. Steve called me back right away and said he would be here asap. He was here within the hour and was very understanding about the weather. He then ran two groups, one older and one younger. At first the kids kinda stood their and then Steve turned on his magic and the kids went wild. There was not a child in the group that was not dancing along with our staff. DJ Steve was the perfect DJ for our daughters Sweet 16! He kept a huge group of teenagers dancing all night, had fun contests, and more up his sleeve to at the ready to keep the party going If needed. He has an eye for reading the group and knowing what they are going to enjoy! My daughter had a wide variety of music likes and he did an amazing job with song selection! The dance floor lighting was amazing, it really made the space look awesome And added so much fun! He got all her friends together for an awesome group picture and again to sing Happy Birthday and have her cake! He made everything so much easier for me with such a large group. Steve from Metro is the BEST!!! I have used his services for several of our company parties and now I asked him to be our DJ at our daughter Jessica's Sweet 16 party. He has always made the parties fun and is always very professional and makes the party a huge success. All the guests "loved the DJ" as they kept saying to us all night. Metro Mass Entertainment was everything we had hoped for and more! We had a movie themed wedding and not only did Steve nail down the timing perfectly with the list of movie songs that we gave him for the ceremony and reception but took things to the next level by adding in some of his own creative movie soundtrack choices. He always had the crowd moving and was communicating with everyone at all the right moments. I just got married this past September 14th, 2013 and I hired Steve to be my DJ and he did not disappoint. He was absolutely amazing. I received so many compliments from my guests about how friendly he was and the great selection of music that he played. He played every song my guests requested. He has the perfect personality as a DJ. He also spends any time with you that you need before your wedding, he came to my parents house where the wedding was held to go over all of our specific songs we wanted and to scope out the area that would be best for him to set up. Exactly what we wanted! I envisioned a DJ who wouldn't be too loud for our older guests yet someone who would entertain the younger guests - I got that with DJ Steve! We met a few weeks before to go over a timeline for our event and he just kept coming up with all these great ideas to keep the reception flowing (this was my first time planning a Bar Mitzvah). AMAZING! Steve was the DJ at our twin daughters birthday party last year at the Verve (Violet Thorn) in Natick, MA. They turned 9 years old and we rented a private space. The party was for 35 girls ages 8-10 and Steve did a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged and entertained and moved around the floor and got 35 kids to engage in the activities. His music choices were appropriate and fun and allowed the kids to sing. We brought fun props and he used them throughout the party. The kids and parents had a great time. I have been planning my company's holiday parties for the past 3 years. I hired Metro Mass for this year's party after having different ones at the two previous years. Professional, organized and easy to do business with. It was my daughter's bat mitzvah, and she really wanted for her friends and family to have a good time.
