I would definitely recommend these two from the Main Event. Keep in mind they have different tiers of DJs and you basically get what you pay for so if you want a good DJ you hire the highest tier. He worked with us to craft the perfect playlist for both our ceremony and reception and kept the party going all night long! Both Sherry and Tyler gave us their personal contact information and were available at any time, day or night, if we needed to contact them for any changes that we thought of after our initial conversations. We had a ton of fun with the lip syncing contest, except it ended up going on a bit too long because people kept signing up. I think my suggestion is to have a cut off for when people can sign up, that way it doesn't cut too much into the dancing time. Overall though we absolutely loved Metro Mass Entertainment and would highly recommend their services! We will be hiring them again for other events in the future. Steve Rocks! And I…read morecould end this review with that, and I would be 100% true and correct! But I'll digress Let me start here. Metro Mass Entertainment has a BBB rating of A+ We found Steve via the internet, google him and you will too. Once we looked at some other reviews we decided to have him be our DJ. One of the biggest reasons is that he encourages product purchases. such as plastic leis and sunglasses and other 'give away's while he's DJ'ing. Something my wife really liked, we may be having a sit down dinner but we are far from having a stuffy formal event. Steve sent us a packet of paperwork, things like first song, daddy/daughter mother/son, guarder removal, bouquet toss, and other events over the night just so that we start thinking about these things now and when we have a meeting we won't be uh I have no clue. Also what songs will be played at dinner, special request and everything like that. He also included list for each even full of popular songs, like girls just wanna have fun for the bouquet toss and things like that. We set up an appointment about a month before our wedding to sit down and go over everything. He came to our house, which made things very convenient. He basically went over the paperwork he sent us and made sure to get all the special request in and special dances, like the longest couple dance, which in our case the longest 2 couples no longer danced, (married 64 & 65 years) but still got acknowledged. The night of the wedding, during the cocktail hour I met with Steve and went over everything one more time, more for me than him, I had full confidence with him. Once the guest all sat down at their tables for the introduction Steve got them pumped up for the introductions. I don't know what he said but they were LOUD with cheering and clapping and everything. He came into the room the bridal party was stashed, lined us up in order. and we headed out as he introduced the couples. The best part is our ring bearers were 3 and 5, he got them to be willing to run out in front of a lot of cheering loud people that's normally a situation that the boys would freeze at. Didn't hurt that I kept telling them to be like football players being introduced for the starting lineups. During the night Steve played everything, things we requested things the guest requested. All types of music, even waited till the older family went to bed to play rap and techno music. Played BEP for the Ring Bearers when they were jumping around on the floor. Everything went so smoothly. The only complaints were my uncle complained that there was too much country, but my wife and I like country, and truthfully there wasn't that much anyway. Also my best man wanted to two step with his date (Texans *roll eyes*) and he wasn't getting any music to two step to, so I went up to Steve and tried to push up my Best Man's request. When a song came on that the few on the dance floor left, my BM and his GF took the entire dance floor putting on a two stepping clinic. Which was really fun to watch. So like I said at the start, Steve Rocks! He even had 3 or 4 people ask him how to get in touch with him for their own upcoming events. Something I highly recommend everyone does.

We knew that our wedding DJ would not need to be an over-the-top party maintainer (like so many DJs claim they are) - we wanted someone reliable and play the songs we had in mind. What we got was more than just a guy with speakers to play our music. To bullet-point the stand-out aspects of Bob: * very informative website with all details you need to know (before hiring him and during the planning process) * easy email and phone contact (will always call or email back quickly) * owner of a variety of equipment pending on what your venue calls for (good amount of items to choose from) * highly organized (thought of many things I didn't) * very ambitious (he visited the venue before we finalized things to tell us his final thoughts on equipment selection) * awesome online system to organize music, preferences, and all aspects of the event timeline * offers many preferences on his appearance and involvement in the event * makes everything simple Of planning a wedding, one of the most frustrating things bar-none was sorting through the junky DJs that wanted to be hired - they demanded a price that was far over my (or any reasonable) budget (sometimes entering ridiculous territory, several over $1,800) and more often than not, they had terrible websites and it took an arm and a leg just to get basic information out of them (you'd think if it's their profession to constantly be finding new gigs, they would have a website with Q/A or at least a PDF of their services and basic information on what they have to offer. We found Bob and had a great feeling from the start from both his website and communication and after a couple emails and phone calls, we hired him feeling very confident. Aside from preparing/organizing the event and signing him up, Bob did a great job at the wedding. He was on time with his equipment set up ahead of schedule (he helped with some equipment during the ceremony too). His table isn't cluttered with advertisements of his services (as many DJs are - this is something he mentioned right away that I didn't even have to ask about) and he did a great job playing our music, managing our preferences and keeping the dancing guests happy (as they come and go, you don't want to start a new song that makes everyone walk away, etc). As a planner to an event, the last you want to have to worry about are all the things you set-up and planned. With Bob, I didn't need to worry about anything regarding music the entire night. Highly recommended.

I have been to so many parties where the DJ uses speakers that are hard on the ears and just don't sound good. He definitely has the best equipment I've ever seen. Bob is very organized and we planned out the whole night of music in advance. His website was easy to use to create a playlist and an equally important do not play list. There were about 10 or 11 "locals"/older crowd at the bar. You can seat yourself anywhere. There were a couple of tables outside. The bartender was friendly enough. One of my coworkers used to be a bartender & she had to instruct Slade's bartender on how to make Rum Punch. She was appreciative to have learned how to, though. I personally don't know what goes into Rum Punch, so I can understand. There are signs all around that say Karaoke goes from 9pm - 1am. The pool tables look to be on the newer side. The high-top tables' chairs are a tad bit too tall for the tables, but no big deal. I am sure the night life there gets busy, but I don't frequent the area enough to know. In summary, it was a good spot for a quick drink & I don't have much more to say :)
