Taxi rate calculators estimated $7-$9 for the ride, so I expected similar cost. We the called back to confirm a car on the way, they took payment. To my surprise it was $36. A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

They're automatic callback service is also a plus, it informs you that the taxi is waiting outside and you can send the driver an estimate of how many minutes it will take you to get down to the taxi. The rate to the airport from my residence in Libertyville was $44.75 and had no hidden surcharges. It was also easy to make a reservation for my return trip and once I retrieved my luggage the taxi was there at the curbside pick up in less than 7 minutes.
