The technician stated everything with the unit looked good other than a few minor adjustments. The furnace stopped working a few days later. In a span of the next week we had five visits from multiple Precise technicians and after each visit the unit stopped working within a few days. We spent a total of $691 without the issue being resolved. During the process I was told several times "we think" when attempting to diagnose the problem. I even had the fuel oil in our tank checked because the technicians thought the oil was the problem. There was no problem with the oil. I was again told what they thought the problem might be. It would be over $300 dollars and I was told even if that wasn't the problem I would need to pay the full amount. I finally had a different company come out to look at the unit and after one visit we have not had any further problems. During the process both my wife and I both talked with the owner. In each of those conversations the owner put an emphasis on why we should switch to a unit other than fuel oil instead of on the problem at hand. I would caution anyone to get service done by Precise.

Nothing. Friday afternoon, I called again! Oh, did you know, they close at noon?! There's only their Atlanta-based answering service, and they can't do anything. With low temperatures in the 30s forecast for the weekend! Now it's Monday afternoon, and still, no call back, no technician, no attempt to fix the faulty hardware they installed. I'm fine though; I called *Five Star Plumbing Heating and Air* Friday night, and they came out within the hour, accurately diagnosed the issue, and replaced the faulty thermostat from MES. So if you need equipment or service, go with Five Star the first time; Mechanical Energy Systems is not able to back up their "ten-year warranty" that is still sticking on my equipment: Once the installation is done and paid for, they will nof return your call again.

I talked with a friend who recommended a HVAC professional who came out and told me my flame sensor was causing the issue. It continually builds up carbon and needs to be cleaned every year. If I would have known this to be the case I would never have purchased this type of furnace. Every year someone needs to make a visit to clean my flame sensor. The cost from Neighborhood would be a typical service call of $100 !! This should have been mentioned at the time of the sale and not discovered after having purchased the unit. I would not recommend Neighborhood Plumbing and Heating they are not qualified professionals in their field. I recommend Mechanical Systems Inc.
