It is an elevated station, with elevators and escalators (when operational) taking one to street level. Because this area is hilly, one can also stop before fully going down, and instead go through Blossom Plaza to the northwest, exiting onto Broadway. It's the first stop going north from Union Station and actually is walkable from there as well. Did make a request Yelp to change the incorrect name (since the Gold Line still exists but no longer stops at this station)... hoping action would be taken to correct.

We boarded the train in Arcadia, and within 35 minutes, we were getting off at the Chinatown station for our 8:45 start time. Can't beat the convenience, and the Sunday morning ride was 98.7% hobo free. After the race, we wandered around a little and looked at stuff-- even walked down that narrow alley of shops that is in every cops n robbers movie featuring Chinatown. For $1.75, this is really convenient, and for those of you that go a little heavy on the Tsing Tao, this is a great way to keep yourself and other safe.

The public can be deranged and lunacy is rampant. With no security around on a Saturday...you basically are gambling with your life. Used to ride the gold line when it was new. No Express service, doesn't dozens of stops. Over all the train is very clean, but occasionally a filthy, weed smelling person will climb on board. The train goes over and through some of the most dangerous parts of Los angeles. It's a great way to see the city. For tourists, I think it's perfect. It provides a lot of scenery and it gets you to the central part of Los Angeles where the museums and other attractions are located. You can even get all the way from Long Beach to Hollywood and Vine streets.

The Los Angeles bus service is underrated and popular, and has spent a lot of money trying to turn LA into a city that actually has a good form of public transport infrastructure, but so far not so good, because people haven't really started to see that LA can be easy to get around. But they're doing a good job, with a very difficult project, and I'm definitely willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that things are improving since I lived there quite some time ago. It almost feels like an airport terminal because of all the vendors in the station. I'll be honest I've never actually been inside until recently. But in the last couple of weeks, I've used this station multiple times now. My experience centers around the fact that the World Cup is in town. I've used this train to head down to USC for a Fan fest, I've used it to head to Koreatown for the large Mexico versus South Korea match. And once I learned how to buy or put money on my Tap card this train station is really easy to use. There's also a large screen in the main terminal playing all the World Cup matches, and there's some installations outside and on the inside It makes you hopeful for the train system in Los Angeles get even better because I'm becoming more of a fan using the Metro

LADOT buses have clean windows, and so do public transit buses in San Diego, Portland, Seattle, SF.

During this time the protests against ICE was going on so there were a lot of closures and a lot of people walking around protesting. However, it was nicely controlled and the union station area was clear of protesters. There are paid parking lots, many bus stops, and a pick up area clearly marked. I just texted my friend to walk out and picked them up really quickly. Fast and convenient. However, the trains are never on time. Most times late some times early. So if your train is late, you might miss your connection to the other train. That's why I had to come to Union station instead of another station. It is a landmark so lots of tourists during normal times. They like taking pictures of the outside and the paintings and decor inside. It is a beautiful station. Too bad there's a horrible odor

This particular line as supposed to have extended out to Santa Monica by 2016 in 2012. Ten years on, not one new station on this major thorough fare has been completed. This line remains a great option for traveling between Koreatown and downtown Los Angeles or Union Station. New trains have been added. There's more space to travel with bike, strollers, luggage and such other items. There are charging ports. They are still quite clean.
