Our commitment to recycling and the environment began in 1988. Opening its doors in Blue Island, Illinois, Metro Recycling set out on a mission to improve not only the community, but also the environment. Over the next 24 years, Metro Recycling expanded by opening more recycling locations in Northwest Indiana. Today, Metro is still striving to help the community. Now with four recycling locations in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area, we are dedicated to providing quality service while helping maintain a sustainable environment. At Metro, we believe that taking care of the environment involves the whole community.
