I came in to buy about 30 pastries for my coworkers and let the employee know it would be a larger order. In a dismissive tone, she told me I had to wait until the store was empty before being served. I ended up waiting over 15 minutes as new customers kept arriving. The wait itself wasn't the issue--it was the way I was spoken to. When I asked for two boxes, I was told there would be a 50¢ charge for the second one. While that may be store policy, I would expect customers making larger purchases to feel appreciated, not inconvenienced. I left feeling unwelcome and undervalued.
