That's the conversation that played in my head because the only way I'll be having any of this super-cool stuff is in my dreams. Conran sells amazingly high quality designer furniture and housewares. While most of it is very functional, some of it is... designer and therefore is very nice to look at but maybe not as functional. On the minus side, the prices are all perfectly displayed.

This shop has so many things and it's overwhelming and hilarious and fun at the same time. For example, I bought a little popcorn set for my mom here for 8 pounds, and then I saw those crazy purses here, you know, the ones that look silly and are made up of shiny triangles and you think they look stupid but then when you touch them you start to think you want then? You know those crazy purses? the 500 pound ones? You know those kinds?!?! And then I guess they sell furniture here. But they also sell funny little games, and also these intricately designed santa cookies, and cards and just weird freaking stuff! That's the funny thing about the Conran Shop. It has a lot of fun stuff and maybe something is 8 pounds, or 800 pounds, you just need to check. But the best thing about the Conran Shop is their little cafe in the back. It's decorated beautifully and they serve food as well. I love going there. They've got wifi and it's a great place to escape... also because there aren't usually a ton of people there. Designers Guild is an eye-popping bevy of furniture, linens, wallpaper, and drapery. It's really worth a visit just to see how marvelously creative people can be when given carte blanche to so. Everything on offer here is so, so, *so* finely-detailed and well-made and beautiful - it's design execution at its pinnacle. They carry the likes of Ralph Lauren Home and Jasper Conran - some designs of which are exclusive to the store. And they just recently launched their own line of fabrics and wallpapers under the name of "The Royal Collection." This line has supposedly been inspired by interiors found in the residences of the Royals - my goodness, it makes me want to see them!!!

I thought they would be too expensive, However, she went through the pricings and options and was just so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We went away with prices etc to mull it over. We returned the next day and were served by Kim and also by Berni. They were just amazing just like Sabeena, again nothing was too much trouble. We finally made our purchase. Hoping that the curtains would live up to the expectations set by such knowledgeable and helpful staff. They were due to arrive on 7th December. they arrived on 5th December. They were very well packed we hung them the same day. They are excellent, far exceeding our expectations. Thanks to Sabena and Kim they look and fit better than my previous curtains. I can not praise Dunelms and their staff enough. Thank you

We had been at various other locations in London already and had picked up samples from various tiles, to test out of how they look and feel in our home. We eventually made up our mind and went for the East Hampton hexagon-shaped mosaic marble. This location in Marylebone is close to my office, so one day I popped in here to place the final order. The sales agent, Sharie, was super helpful and she made the order-process a breeze. She followed up with a written email confirmation and told me that the delivery is scheduled for the agreed date. Wonderful! What really made this an extraordinary experience was when I came back to this shop a few weeks later to return the samples. These samples were from the Islington and Hampstead branches, plus I had lost the receipts...and so I wasn't quite sure if they would refund the money. Luckily, Sharie was on duty again: she loaded the computer and spent some time digging for the online-receipts. She found them in the end and refunded me back my 28 quid. That's what I call great customer service!

After a huge…read morefiasco trying to get a delivery made on time (sending only one member of staff to deliver 700kg of tiles and at a completely inappropriate time, Fired Earth agreed to refund my delivery charges. I provided them with my account number and sort code. They then refused to process the refund to my account, insisting that I provide my confidential credit card details over the phone. Due to past incompetence I was not willing to do this, as I have no confidence they would be treated securely. It beggars belief that a company, in the UK, in the 21st century cannot make a payment to a bank account, when you provide them with the name of the account holder, the account number and the sort code. I have never encountered such outrageously poor customer service before. David Dwyer
