When we did not use all of these appointments, I called my insurance company and they told me just to ask SLC to submit an extension. So I talked to the woman at the front and she assured me she would have it taken care of. We continued attending thinking everything was fine. Then one day, my insurance company, Tricare, sent me an Explanation of Benefits document showing that they did not cover several appointments because the referral had expired! I called them and they did not know what happened or what to do. It was a clear mistake on the staff there, yet they did nothing to resolve it. I called Tricare who thankfully fixed the issue with just a warning. Furthermore, SLC was a 40 minute drive for us as we live in Ann Arbor. I attend school and work full time so I needed afternoon appointments. They continued to promise that they would have later appointments available as another therapist was being hired and would be able to accommodate. Months went by and we stuck by this company as we were continually being assured by the staff that we could soon get later appointments. Finally, they hired the new therapist. So I asked for the time slot I had been promised would be open. First, they said the other therapist was going on vacation so we wouldn't have it for yet another few weeks. Then, they said the new therapist wouldn't be working that later either! After months of waiting, they were not going to come through and I could not continue. The drive was getting to be too much. I finally found a therapist through the Ann Arbor school system who could take my son. So we stopped going. Next thing you know, I receive another Tricare Explanation of Benefits showing an an appointment with SLC on the 30th of April that was not covered that I was being billed for. My son, Ryley, had no such appointment. I called and spoke to a receptionist who said she'd have someone call me back right away. I have not yet received a call, and I have been calling every day for nearly a month. I have left several voice mails. This is completely unacceptable. Do not work with this company.

Our therapist took notes and stated how helpful this will be going forward in fixing the apraxia my grandson has. We are so grateful to have a path. We had to make a very dramatic entrance to the clinic because we had to put up a fight. After starting speech & OT, we were then greeted by very unhelpful insurance coordinator. Our child is not on the spectrum so he didn't have unlimited access to therapies, which ultimately led us to pay completely out of pocket. One day we've learned how the speech therapists at KCC are in "trouble" if they can't get the kids to speak. That's why they wanted our son to go elsewhere because he was a severe case of apraxia and not a good "marketing material" for not being able to sell a success story in x amount of time. We have connected with other renowned speech therapy, and left for good. The kind that do not abandon therapies. It was the best decision we made for our son. It is also pretty odd that they are in this business for more than 30 years and they only have 13 google reviews.

I have found a new Physical therapy place that has earned my trust and repeat business. After the…read morelast unprofessional place, I had to find a different place that takes my insurance and either near work or home. When I called for an appointment, they found a way to get me in quickly. Nick was the physical therapist I got. He was caring, listened to my history and what was happening with my right arm and shoulder, and really looked at my list of home physical therapy exercises and put it in my record. I was given the next appointment along with follow up appointments for the weeks after since I had to come in after work so I would be on the schedule. I had to miss a whole week at the other place. I was treated by exercises, messages of the effected area, and heat packs since my body doesn't react well to cold packs. As he watched me with each exercise, he adjusted what I did to match what I needed to strengthen what is still attached in my upper right arm and shoulder. I have to have rotor cuff surgery and trying to postpone it until next March. When I had my last appointment, I was given a folder with the exercises I need to keep doing that had pictures and even a website for videos of them if needed. I was also given thero bands to do the exercises. Since my right hip is not a happy camper right now, I might have to come back sooner than later. I will come back gladly.

I only had to cancel a couple times due to an unexpected trip but at the end of the 6 weeks I was pain free and most important back in the gym lifting without pain. The facility is clean, the staff wore masks even after the mask mandate was lifted and I watched equipment be cleaned regularly. I feel that my treatment was unique to my needs and was crucial in my injury recovery. Highly recommend Athletico for Physical Therapy.

It wasn't related to the injury but affected my walking. No other health care provider had noticed this issue. She offered a solution. I was skeptical at first but I researched it that day after I left the facility. The following week I decided to accept and try her suggestion. I became pain free for the first time in over 40 years. I was completely blown away! The staff are very welcoming and if I needed to go to therapy in the future I would come back to the Southfield location. My physical therapist Stephanie Miller is well informed and up to date with all the physical exercises you need to better yourself after a major/minimal surgery or just because of a pain you may have or etc. I had a partial knee replacement in February of this year and my progress is beyond incredible.
