I'd give them less than a star if I could. They're good if you can actually get them to honor your appointment. They're just not dependable at all and the owner isn't very professional. I don't think there has been a case we're they showed up in the time frame they stated or didn't just move to reschedule. It's become a joke now we're we just know that they may show for the original appointment after 3 weeks of rescheduling. My dogs had a spa day! Very pleased with the service. My dogs had been without baths for far too long, but I'm not able to bathe them myself. I looked on Yelp for mobile dog groomers and reviews. Metrohound had a lot of good reviews but seemed that recent reviews were much less favorable, so I started calling others. Everyone else booked up way into future,so I decided to give Metrohound a try. Glad I did! I did not experience any of the unresponsiveness some other reviewers complained of, and groomer arrived promptly for appointment. The groomer handled my "enthusiastic" pups (both are large & rambunctious) with care and efficiency. Price was reasonable for the services and convenience. I plan to use Metrohound again! read more

We were heading out on vacation, and needed to get our dog groomed. MetroHound had a last minute cancellation and was able to fit us in. So convenient to have the groomer come to us. Plus our dog was a lot less anxious, since she didn't have to stay after the groom to be picked up. Everyone has complemented the cut. We will definitely use MetroHound again! read more

Kelly is a wonderful groomer and we will miss her terribly. My pup was groomed by Kelly for years at Petco prior to her new mobile position. Her first (and last) groom with Kelly through MetroHound was wonderful. However, the MetroHound policies/procedures were too staunch for me, and the office communications or lack thereof were unprofessional and frankly, pathetic. During the summer, my pup needs grooming every 5 weeks. MetroHound only offers cyclical grooming at 4 or 6 weeks; I cannot afford $85 plus tip every 4 weeks when I can get her groomed for $40 less elsewhere every 5 weeks. The groomer was very good. The problem was the management. It took forever to get our initial appointment. When out 3rd appointment was drawing near, we heard our groomer was no longer with the company. We did not hear from the company, so the day before our appointment, I called. Talked to someone in the office, she said she would call me back. She never did. We moved on. read more

After many many months of consistent consecutive appointments with a groomer I really enjoyed, I was ghosted out of the blue. I contacted this company multiple times through phone contacts and email and have received zero communication. I finally texted the groomer directly and she stated that she left the company but she was surprised the front office didn't call to reschedule an appointment or let me know. I reached out a couple more times after that news to try and get on the schedule with a new groomer. I still have yet to hear anything from this company. I am so disappointed! Now I am left in the lurch with my fox terrier who is a couple months behind on grooming at this point and scrambling to find someone new. Do not use this company! They clearly do not know how to run a business successfully by keeping in contact with the customers on a regular basis. I noticed on Google reviews this is a common problem. read more

I was really disappointed with this company. We had been using them for a while, and until recently they have shown up promptly with hassle. That until this past time where they sent us a text message the day before essentially saying that the appointment was tomorrow ending with a polite "Thank You." Of course we knew this and had scheduled accordingly. But apparently, we needed to RESPOND to it for them to send someone out, even though we had scheduled it at least a month in advance. The text message had no prompting to even reply to confirm or anything, so we wasted a Saturday waiting for them to not show up. read more

Read reviews on this company; noticed negative reviews re: scheduling; booked an appt with this pet-grooming company; booked a schedule that was not honored. While booking by phone, I repeated the agreed upon date and time, to no avail. Called on the day of appt to confirm appt, only to be told that my appt was booked for a completely different date and time. Person handling my call was unapologetic and nonchalant. Not a good way to start off a business relationship. Will use another mobile groomer. Good luck with streamlining your booking and customer interface process. I definitely recommend MetroHound, and not just for their convenient service. Jeffrey took his time grooming my senior dog's hair and he never looked cuter! He is like a new dog and so happy with his summer cut. My time is worth the extra $15 to have them come to me, plus they did a much better job than the salon I took my dog to before. I have been observing my puppy's cut for about a week now. The layers in Sasha's coat, the evenness around the ears, the thinning out around the face . . . I am in awe at how fantastic of a cut Kristen gave her. My little Sasha's characteristics were hidden behind all her of fur which matted in the pit of her legs after each walk. And her previous facial cuts made her look like a boring Yorkie (no offense, Yorkies are adorable). So, I called MetroHound hoping to get a stylist and not just a groomer. I showed Kristen a number of pics, not fully aware of what it was I really wanted. But Kristen used her expertise to clean up Sasha, who now looks better than she did when we first got her. We had a great experience. Our 15 month Wheaten Terrier had been to a groomer twice prior and had an unpleasant experience (he's a bit sensitive). We wanted him to have a less stressful experience and he did great. Leigh was our groomer and she was so gentle and sweet, our pup went to her with no issues. She asked a ton of questions and was thorough. The cut she gave him was the best we've had. We will certainly go back. read more

We had our dog groomed on Thursday by Metrohound. First time we use this service, which is not by any standards a cheap service. Later in the afternoon we noticed her scratching her head and walking with her head tilted. We looked in her ears and noticed one of them was very bloody.. Tried to clean her up and then noticed that the inside of her ear had been injured. By this time the dog was desperately shaking her head and obviously in pain and distress. The groomer did not say a word and left as if nothing had happened when she finished. We took her to the her vet and they confirmed her ear had been injured, was still very bloody, and was starting to develop an infection for which they prescribed some medicine. They also said that the other ear had been injured as well. This is something that never happened to us before. We can't even imagine the pain the poor dog sustained and the mere thought of it makes us sick! They harmed and caused pain to an animal and did not even care. We have reached out to Metrohund and they are denying any and all responsibility read more

Very good customer service. Katie was very responsive and helpful with scheduling my Yorkies for grooming. I have 3 of them and they are very nervous as most little dogs are. She assured me that the groomer she is sending to take care of my fur babies will be top notch. Thanks for the care and understanding as this is my first experience with mobile grooming. Leigh has groomed my schnauzer/poodle mix, Mabel, for the past year. Mabel's fur is incredibly thick, grows fast, and tangles easily, but Leigh always does an amazing job.
