Super expansive....$75 for regular bath and wash. But charged us $95 due to matting Bullshit. My dog was not matted. This for a 12lb poodle that gets brushed at a minimum 3 times a week. At drop off, she never mentioned that my dog was matted nor quoted me a price. My pet was dropped off at 9am per the appointment. He was not ready untill 4pm. with a $5 tip, (not diserved) the cut cost me $100. on top of that she had cut my dog with blades on his left side, i found newly blood stains on his side when i got home. No mention that she had nicked him on his side. The photo is the after, as blood had dried up. will not be back. read more

Really excellent service! We came in to get our dogs' nails trimmed- our older dog is pending surgery for a torn ACL and the groomers at PetSmart wouldn't touch her (completely understandable). Her nails were getting super bad and I don't feel comfortable trimming them myself. The booking process was super easy and it was confirmed quickly. She was able to trim both dogs' nails while we waited and they look better than ever! I have tried just about every grooming business (including Petco and PetSmart) in Durham and this place is by far the best. Your pet receives individual care and attention. The Mom and daughter owners are awesome. I am glad my search is over. I have taken my Luna to Petco a couple of times, simply because I work late hours and sometimes I can't take her to be groomed at Puppy Love. But when I finally do take her to Puppy Love, I realize just how great of a job these folks do. Her hair cuts are always not even and her nails never done right at Petco but at Puppy Love they are done to perfection. Seriously I'm not even exaggerating. Horrible service my dog has been coming here and last year we brought him in for a haircut the lady told us he had to get anesthesia to get completely shaved off. We tried to scheduled an appointment for my pet and she said we can bring him back after we got him shaved and the lady denied our service of his haircut being cut after she told us to bring him. The company is overprice and it takes forever to get appointment they never answer the phone always goes to voicemail. read more

These guys were so great with my dog. We came here on a recommendation, and it was a great choice. I only did nails for my dog ($15); they were ready for our appointment and very professional. It was the first time Brutus has ever had his nails done like that and he was pretty scared--they were so great with being fast and also calming for him. So I have been putting off professional grooming for a while and my dogs fur, especially on its legs, has been getting matted. I saw this place on yelp and called for an appointment for my two dogs which needed intensive care. It had been over a year since their last professional grooming! They got me scheduled in within a couple days. When I arrived it was obvious that these people love dogs. They have a couple always loose to stretch their legs and the place smells clean! What really blew me away though is what a great job they did grooming my pets. They looked stunning when I picked them up. Not a hair out of place! Teeth brushed, nails clipped, bows on! We used to go to Puppy Love 2 years ago every 2-3 months to have our dogs groomed. They did an excellent job and never had any issues. The staff is always super friendly. We stopped for a bit because I learned how to groom my dogs in efforts to save some money. Recently, I hurt my back and couldn't groom the dogs myself and scheduled my boys for Puppy Love. Again, they did an amazing job. They were short a groomer that day, but they asked if it was ok for me to pick up later then they wouldn't have to reschedule. We had nothing going on so they kept my boys and stayed open later just to get them done. Great grooming, fair price, and excellent staff. For the last seven years we've tried several different groomers in Durham and have never been pleased with the results. I'm happy to have found Puppy Love, we will definitely be returning! Our pup sheds like crazy and we have to vacuum daily to keep up with the tumbleweeds of fine hair that float through the house. Two weeks before our baby was due I gave Puppy Love a shot and asked them to really focus on de-shedding since I knew I wouldn't have time for daily vacuuming or brushing. To our surprise our baby came early (the next day!) and thank goodness I went to Puppy Love. At other groomers we were often disappointed with the cut but also our dog's hair would shed only days after the appointment. I'm happy to report it has been 6 weeks and the pup is still not shedding. I don't know what magic they did on my dog's coat but they have won me over. I also want to note that I love their communication system. Receiving texts that my dog is ready to be picked up, or that it's time to schedule another appointment, is a great feature! read more

Went here for the first time today. My senior Mini Schnauzer is very sensitive and can be very easily frightened by other dogs/loud sounds. We came first thing and she got private care so that she didn't have to be around other dogs or in a crate. We opted for a blueberry facial and oatmeal shampoo for her dry skin. Worth the wait to get an appointment. Came from Chapel Hill, and it is also absolutely worth the drive! I am a UNC student and I find the cost appropriate for the care. Overall so happy to finally have found the place for us (four high rated groomers later!) Most other groomers say they will do it quickly to avoid upsetting her but, this is the only place to actually do it! Could not be happier!!!! read more

They did an amazing job with my dog! She has a very thick undercoat and I can't believe what they were able to do with it. She has never looked so good. I have been bathing her myself for a very long time, then took her to PetSmart to have it done and was very disappointed, not just from the result but how dirty the place was. Don't waste your time or money going somewhere else but here. They are open on Saturday's which was very convenient and again I can't believe how awesome her coat was afterward.
