Thank you to Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool and all of the staff for inviting us to the zoo field…read moretrip! It was such a special first experience for my little one. The trip itself was quite a distance, which made it even more meaningful that everything was so well organized and thoughtfully planned. It was a wonderful way to connect with the staff and some of the families. One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was seeing the parent involvement in action. While it was the parents leading and supporting the group, Ms. Skyler's natural connection with the children, her energy, and her presence stood out. It was truly special to witness the level of trust and bond between the staff, and children. There is even a mini farm and a few gardens at the school. What makes Fort Mill Cooperative Preschool unique is how they encourage and create space for that involvement. Through field trips, events, and holiday celebrations, they build a strong, connected environment for both children and families. We especially love Ms. Emmy and Ms. Skyler. The owner, director and the Fort Mill Co-op family-staff have truly changed school for my son. A huge thank you to Ms. Szilvia Fillmore, the on-site Clinical Art Counselor, who is also affiliated with Thrive Family Services. Through her support and collaboration with the staff, my son has grown in his ability to identify and communicate his needs and emotions. This was very valuable! The tools and materials she brings into the classroom were something we didn't even realize we were missing at previous schools. This is truly an incredible school, with strong values and a genuine commitment to each child's growth and development. We are so grateful for your thoughtful and engaging approach to learning.

My issues were my last few months** As I look back and question my choices to leave my kids here makes me sad. I loved a select few teachers, my girls were lucky to have them. If they had any other teachers I would have pulled them out way before I did. This is not a place that I would tell another parent to bring their kids. My daughter was picked on and picked on by one child in particular. I complained, nothing. I complained, they moved classes. That day my daughter told me he was still picking on her, they were allowed to play on the playground together? C'mon, really? I would think of another child is hitting and spitting on my daughter they would take it more seriously. I questioned them about this boy, the response was his mom was going through a hard time and she wasnt surprised he was being bad. She tried to justify it to my face. Don't get me wrong, I get hard times. The fact that the people i paid way too much money too didn't care, pisses me off. I spent way too much money here for less then mediocre child care.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO CADENCE ACADEMY!!!…read more I am extremely disappointed with cadence academy and want to warn other parents about my experience. Unclean Environment - The daycare is consistently dirty. I have seen dirty floors, unclean bathrooms, food left out, etc..This is completely unacceptable for a place caring for young children. Unprofessional Staff - The staff is rude, inattentive, unqualified.I have witnessed the front Desk staff go ballistic on my mom ,threatening her to call the cops on threatening to call Social Workers on her because she was one minute late to pick up my daughter, her behavior was unacceptable, I won't be surprised if she was on something working around kids... Lack of Supervision and Safety - I have serious concerns about my child's safety. security issues, or injuries due to negligence, my daughter came home couple of Times with scratches on her arms and legs and I never got a report from them, every time I went to pick up my daughter it was a different Teacher ,the food is horrible, they don't care if you kids eat or not they just don't care about your kid , I had seen many complaints about the Teacher and how they do wrong things around this Daycare. Poor Communication - The daycare does not communicate with parents properly. When I tried to address my concerns, I was ignored. I would not recommend this daycare to any parent. If you care about cleanliness, professionalism, and safety, look elsewhere! I hope management takes these issues seriously, but based on my experience, I would not trust them with my child's well-being. 0 stars for this academy this place must be shut down for its unsafe environment provided for the children at this daycare...

My only problem is : How can a sport facility that promotes gymnastics , exercise and health body can offer that kind of snacks for the kids?? That for me is absurd!!! I can only imagine is to make money but for me makes no sense at all. I see many kids eating MM''s, Pringle's, blue sugary beverage , coke and candy before and after school. I think even as an exemple and influence to the kids this shouldn't be allowed in a place like this. And how about instead lollipop before any holiday give something non sugary or junk food Related!? Perhaps is just my opinion but it's ridiculous to me. (They moved to 1080 Maxwell rd)

The gym is family owned which for us is perfect because it means the owners are approachable, accessible and always present. They clearly care about the sport and are focused on making the kids stronger athletes, but also care more holistically about character development, overcoming feelings of nervousness to attempt a new skill and more general team development and comradery. Coach Jay in particular has been an amazing influence on my children, and it says something to me as a parent when they both talk independently about how they can rely on him, not only to understand what their goals are in gymnastics, but how he is the first person they would trust outside the family with other important topics. I know being around him and learning from him on all fronts will be a core memory for them both. One more note on CS and gymnastics in general - I think there is a lot of pressure in seasons of a child's life to fit in at school, and at some point every kid feels like they come in short. It's been amazing for our children to have this sport and this v. inclusive/accepting facility to serve as a second and alternative place to build healthy relationships with other kids outside of their normal social/academic setting. I can see they are both more confident and more at peace with themselves physically and emotionally for it.
