The combination of her personal gifts, professional training, skills, and experience make her an excellent person with whom to work: she is personable, knowledgeable, articulate, and flexible with exercises/treatments as needed. She really listens to clients (more and more a rarity), is attentive to what's going on with one's body during exercises (even when you don't know it) and points out needed improvements in form, placement, etc. One day she noticed that one of my legs looked a little longer than the other when doing an exercise and called me over to do some readjustment movements, something I can do on my own as well. It really helped. The clinic is run efficiently with the engaging and ever efficient Maggie at its helm. It may sound strange to say, but I am sorry when a course of treatment ends! One more thing to say: If you are looking for the big high tech clinics with lots of machines and equipment, this may not be the right place for you. What is of benefit is that every exercise Sylvia taught me in our sessions can easily be reproduced at home with aids that can be acquired from Target or Walmart. He/she will help you every step of the way and make you feel very comfortable. The first time I went, I was very nervous because I know my limitations and was afraid they would push me too far. That was not the case at all. They respect what you are telling them and they make extra effort to make sure you are not in danger of harming yourself further by overexerting your limitations. They have aquatic therapy which is what I am currently using. The group that is usually there is small so you really get a lot of personal attention and support. I have a very good feeling that they are going to help me get to where I need to be! I can already tell that I have extra energy. I am excited about the future because they really give me hope!

First, the facility itself. Everything was clean and well maintained. The rehab equipment was all first class. While the food was not exactly 5 star quality, I had no complaints whatsoever. I would say that I enjoyed 99% of everything they served. There was nothing wrong with the other 1%; it just didn't please my palate. I have a good appetite, and I was satisfied with the portion sizes. Unlike other hospitals, the meals were virtually all served on time. Now, the staff. Every therapist I worked with was outstanding. These included Sarah, Dennis, Miguel, Rudy, Edwin, and Carmine. As far as the care, the vast majority were great. I missed a few of their names, but the standouts were Caroline, Karen, Chenemun (?), and Olaniyi. A few of the night staff left a bit to be desired, but the rest of the staff were outstanding. The physicians were all caring and attentive. You won't go wrong if you choose this facility for your rehab.

I put down the money for her stay after being told by Daniella that I would be refunded after her Medicare kicked in. As promised Medicare began paying for her stay on the second day. She passed away 2 weeks after her stay so I was busy with arrangements and grief. I called Texas Rehab 3 weeks after her death and they told me my refund would take a while to process which I understood. It has now been 5 months and I have not gotten my refund of over $11,000 and all the people I was working with have left the company. No one seems to know anything about anything. If you decided to stay at this facility make sure about the payment arrangements before agreeing.

The attentive techs support the physical therapists in their quest to get me rehabbed back to baseline and beyond. I have rehabbed 4 body parts over 2+ years at Vista White Rock and have observed many patients come, go and come back to rehab another body part also! I love the mix of ages and fitness levels present at any given time at the clinic from teenage athletes to middle age weekend warriors to the elderly, grateful to regain mobility and increase strength. The surroundings are bright, open and friendly. Small, as well as the large, victories are celebrated by everyone. After previous poor experiences at four other PT clinics for various rehab needs, I took advantage of Vista's 30 minute free consultation to interview them prior to a major foot surgery.
