The nurse Practitioner (Anna Small) Told my Mother she was just getting over a cold, her lungs sound good and clear and she should buy some mucinex over the counter and she should be fine. I asked her are you sure my mom does not have pneumonia? She stated no it was just a cold. Well on Thursday I received a call i had to leave work due to my mom passing out at home. After getting her to the emergency room her diagnosis was she had pulmonary embolism. She has blood clots in both lungs and her heart rate was highly elevated and she was extremely dehydrated.
