I'm very athletic and competitive, but I'd never danced in my life and felt enormous fear in any dance setting. Six months later now, I've fallen in love with dancing, with the beauty of Latin, smooth, and swing music, and my new family at Arthur Murray. South Charlotte's instructors are very talented, patient, and deeply passionate about social dance and enabling each pupil to meet their goals. Lesson plans are perfectly situated to teach new dances and dance combinations while encouraging etiquette and confidence to dance in a social or club setting. Over six months, I've become very comfortable with Rumba, Club Swing, Salsa, and Merengue. I've gained a limited proficiency of FoxTrot, Waltz, Nightclub Two-Step, Triple-Step, and several others. Under their training and mentorship, I've learned to analyze music and discern rhythm. I'm confident being in the center of the dance floor, and dancing in any setting! We paid $25 for two bracelets and were able to fully DIY on our own with help from the instructor. You can pick from two different size bands (thin or thick), colors (gold or silver) and there are letters, numbers and other symbols you can use to customize your bracelets. The studio is spacious and they offer many other DIY workshops (candle making, woodworking, etc.). Great idea for a night out with friends or to celebrate a birthday, graduation or another special event.

Your experience starts with signing up online and selecting what project and personalization you want. There are so many options, it can be overwhelming from art frames, lazy Susan's, hand knit blankets, stamped jewelry, planter boxes and more. You arrive with your work station prepared with an apron, your project and templates you need. The staff go over the first few steps in the process in picking your paint colors and stains. Then the staff bring you the paints you need and guide you through the process. The space is BYOB, they have a ton of examples of projects throughout the space and great music to inspire you. Pro tip- Park behind the building AR workshop also has a store with jewelry and decor and bath bombs for purchase. If your child has dreams of playing college softball, quality instruction is invaluable, and Coach Deja is outstanding. She immediately made my daughter feel comfortable while challenging her to improve. We've also had lessons with Coach Chet and Coach Max, and my daughter has loved working with all of them. This spring was our first season on an HQ4 travel team, and it was a fantastic experience. Coach Deja and Coach Max made an incredible coaching team. We watched our girls improve with every tournament, both individually and as a team. They struck the perfect balance of holding the players accountable while encouraging and building their confidence--exactly what teenage athletes need. My son has also taken various hitting and pitching lessons with Coach Caleb. Each time, Coach Caleb takes the time to explain the "why" so that my son can understand the correct way to approach his swing and pitching motion. It's so much more than professional instruction; it's passionate people who love the game pouring into these kids, developing their skills, and helping them understand the game and learn what it means to trust the process. HQ4 is more than just a business; it's like being part of a family.
