This was a great birthday party event for a handful of young teens. Plenty of options to keep everyone going. Well worth a revisit.

Fantastic time ice climbing with Kel (Adventure Spirit Guides) at the Frankenstein area in Crawford…read moreNotch, NH. Kel is probably one of the only people in the world to hold both IFMGA certification and a PhD. Kel was highly competent, experienced, and knowledgeable about the discipline of ice climbing as well as the local area. He tailored the experience to meet my educational goals in addition to putting together a great day of ice climbing. We did 8-10 pitches with plenty of time for instruction, lunch, and debriefing, even on a short winter day. In the past I was hesitant to hire guides, but I've found working with them to be highly valuable and a great way to find/fix areas where I have conscious and unconscious incompetence. Kel offers a great service for clients who have existing experience in their discipline (rock/ice/alpine/etc) and want to dive deeper or go bigger.

Only great things to say about Adventure Spirit ! Throwing this review out there because I couldn't…read morefind a ton on them before and and was kinda sketched out. Sorry guys. Anyway, my friend initially tried to plan a guided trip up mount Washington and got quoted from a couple guide services. One was way out of our budget and the other never got back to us so she kept looking and found Adventure Spirit. They were super prompt friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. We did two days with Josh and Cory and didn't really know what the first day entailed but that was because they tailored it to what we wanted to accomplish. The whole experience was very custom which I loved and they provided us with rental gear for the weekend. You could tell that they were focused on us enjoying our trip but their main priority was safety which in my opinion is the best thing you can look for in a guide service. They even took spontaneous pictures of us without us asking and emailed them to us which was so nice and unexpected. Josh and Cory did their best to keep the 7 members of our group together but eventually we split into two groups which was much better in my eyes because of varying ability level and speed. I felt like we were much more prepared than other guided groups we saw on the mountain likely due to the first day learning about the gear. I would have loved the trip either way but having awesome guides was the icing on the cake to an amazing experience. You could tell they both loved their jobs and worked very well with the owner Kel. I'm totally hooked and can't wait to book more trips with Adventure Spirit.

He is an…read moreextremely aggressive business person who uses stringent contracts to bind his customers (and employees) into unreasonable situations. Japheth has an excellent sales pitch but fails to deliver on his promises. He is not a medical professional or even a certified yoga instructor. He is not an expert in martial arts or any of the other services he claims to provide. He is a cutthroat business person, more concerned with making a quick buck than helping his clients. Worse still, his advice is bogus and in some cases dangerous. After my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cysts, Japheth (completely inappropriately) suggested that she soak her tampons in essential oils to cure her cysts. Ever heard of toxic shock syndrome Japheth? He also believes that static electricity is only due to "toxic load" and that changing your lifestyle will prevent it... (Yikes! That's sounds like a crazy person!) Give him five minutes of your time and he'll surprise you with some other insane unfounded health advice. This business IS Japheth, don't be fooled by the marketing or the sales pitch. The instructors he employs are fantastic, but he pays them less than minimum wage (again, he's an aggressive contract oriented business person). And worse than that, he peddles absolutely insane health advice and truly believes his own nonsense. DONT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH HIM! He will fight you tooth and nail to cancel it and he has no conscience. ***Also, his studio is a filthy unkempt mess....***

Not one of the best yoga studios I have been to. I take late evening classes because of my work…read moreschedule, and most yoga instructors I have encountered are inexperienced and sometimes unprofessional. For example, the instructor greats the entire class at the end of the practice and ignores me, or ask some yogis what poses they like to do in the beginning of the class and ignores the rest of the class. Some unprofessional stuff like that which makes the place not the best to release the stresses after long day at work. Poses are very basic and not challenging even though it is not a beginner class. It seems like the instructors are there just for the money and can't wait to leave the studio, too much negative energy. The mats can be terribly smelly as well, so you better bring your own mat. The location is okay but it can get noisy from the traffic in College St. and the fire station.

She made it very obvious that she had no interest in talking with me about yoga by avoiding eye contact and keeping her back turned towards me. I was totally shocked. I've never been treated like that in a yoga studio before. The yoga: Her sequencing was OK, but her cuing and assisting made the class inaccessible. Most of her assists felt micro-managy and pokey, and her cuing made no sense. As a student, I didn't feel successful. She spent a lot of time with her back to the class. She didn't smile. She did a lot of muttering in sanskrit and it would make the class more accessible if she just ditched the dogma.
