I went to a different local hockey gear store before coming to Kevin Smith's. I was able to get my blades sharpened and buy some more socks, but they didn't have my size hockey orthotic in stock. The young man working offered to have a manager call me, so I left my name and contact info, but over a week passed and I never got a call, so as I was driving today I just happened to pass by here and I decided to stop in at Kevin Smith's. Hockey specialist Jon greeted me at the door and was super knowledgeable and nice. He's played juniors and pro himself and knows what he's talking about without making you feel inferior for knowing less or being a beginner. He patiently answered all my questions and had some great suggestions. He spent a good 30 minutes with me or more explaining the pros and cons of my current CCM and demonstrating value and quality of some other brands. I did not feel pressured to buy anything. He helped me get my Superfeet pro hockey insoles inserted, too. He let me know too about their sister store in St Albans and what they offer there, too. I definitely feel this shop strives to make every customer feel valued and thoroughly helped. They just earned a loyal customer.
