Nieve spent substantial time with us to ensure that Paul was in the perfect boot, binding and the right ski for his level. Paul is an exceptional skier, who now lives in the Midwest with me, his average skier wife, after growing up in the ADK's and skiing every winter day of his life, when weather permitted, for 20 years. Nieve also fitted me for boats, bindings and skis too, for good measure, so I can ski with my husband and not be bothered with rentals. The staff collectively assaulted and harassed me verbally for being a service dog user, and for criticizing the decline of REI. It's a leftwing business, which means that the "feelings" of the employees outweigh any and every other consideration. In fact, I asked for contact info to make a complaint, and while one employee was writing it down, another employee came along and tore up the paper! I left the store but had to go back in for something, and 8 store employees were viciously gossiping about me at the checkout area. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM REI EVER AGAIN!

My son and l received the BEST of professional advice when we went there on Saturday ( yesterday). Concerns about comparative features between guns, laws about "carry" were easily answered. Although, we were not aware that Datilio's is closed at noon on Saturdays, all required paperwork was handled and necessary phone calls made in a professional and timely manner. All the shelves were stocked with an unbelievable variety of fishing tackle , archery paraphernalia, etc. for avid sportsmen of all types. We were AMAZED at the ease with which our questions and concerns were handled by all the gentlemen working at Datilio's . They were only too happy to help novices and experts who walked through the doors ! Fantastic experience renting conventional bikes here (3 hr for $27) when visiting in mid October…read morew/o a reservation. All day rentals for conventional bikes $40/day. E-bikes, kids bikes, trailer/tagalongs available as well. Staff was very friendly and patient with making sure bikes, helmets were correct size. Very convenient they are right by the bike/walking path. Rode to the Causeway and back, which took about 2.5 hours at a leisurely to moderate pace. Causeway was pretty windy, so we didn't spend much time at the end. Bike ferry was not running, as it was mid October. Views are great! Water refill at the store. Highly recommend renting from here.

I am still riding 2 Marinoni bikes I bought in 1987 and 88 and I consistently race on them and have won MI State Masters Track Championships for 2011 and 2012 on my Marinoni Pista they fitted and had made for me 1988. They provided track components and wool bike clothing when such things were not popular or to be seen in any other shops. Dave always looked out for me and provided Italian products that suited my taste and budget. The Winooski Bicycle Shop was also the hub to serious racers. Dave and Gene were real mentors and inspired me with their vast cycling and racing experience. They saw me on my way to the Montreal Olympic Velodrome for the first time and evan attended my races. The style they sell doesn't always match me. But for $13 I figured I'd take a look. So I was able to find one pair that fit. Of course it was picked over and that was to be expected! I came late on a Sunday! The customer service here was also a surprise. They helped me look for jeans and even recommended a few different styles. So with their help I was able to find something I liked. The clearance sale was very reasonable. The normal prices are where they fail for me. I never spend A LOT of clothing for a few reasons. One they always rip within a few years. Two other brands never seem to last any longer even for a more "premium" jean. I know others have had some different experiences but that's just mine. So over all I was surprised on both fronts with the clearance pricing and customer service. So it was a good trip. I will be back for their next big sale and even earlier rather than later!
