Stopped for a quick dinner and found a gem. Great hummus and falafel. Helpful and friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place.

Not a fan! The staff was pretty rude, the first thing they…read moredid was point out that it's cash only and £10/person minimum spend in a very short and rude tone. Since we were hungry and only had about an hour before our film started, we sat down anyway. Ordering food was easy enough and it didn't take too long to arrive. I had ordered a main that was advertised to come with rice or chips. I decided on rice as I don't particularly like chips. But when my food arrived the server pointed out that it came with couscous and he'll bring me chips instead of the rice I ordered. I pointed out that I wanted the rice, which is why I ordered it but he kept insisting he'll bring me chips. It was absolutely ridiculous. If I wanted chips, I'd have bloody well ordered them! The food was decent, I've had better but the price was reasonable enough. Probably wouldn't return though as service is really bad.

When my friend told me that this place was a BYO and minimum spend was 20 pounds a person, I did…read morenot expect something this classy. It's right by the waterfront by West India Quay station and has a great outdoors area, perfect for sitting outside but under a covering on a nice summer's evening. I've heard that it's crazy busy on Thursday and Friday nights, but on a Saturday, we didn't even have to book for a party of 4, and were seated right away around 7:30 pm. The shisha is about 15 pounds for 2 people, and you have to have 1 for every 2 people. They also have these ice extensions that I'd never seen before, for an extra 2 pounds. They didn't add much to the experience, but were cool for the novelty. As for the food, they have a great selection of Lebanese/Indian food. First we got the vegetarian mixed meze, which says that it serves 2, but is more than enough for 3 or 4 people. It's ok, but nothing stellar. But my friend could not stop raving about Farruj Meshwi, which is a grilled baby chicken that comes with the most amazing garlic sauce. I was definitely impressed. As our other main to share between 3 people, we got the mixed biryani, but I was disappointed, as it was more like rice with some sauce stirred into it instead of the oily fried rice type of biryani that I grew to love when I was in India. So you're probably better off sticking to the Lebanese stuff. Overall, food was decent, but that's not what you're coming for. It's a killer venue with a great BYO policy and it just so happens to be cheap too. It was honestly hard to spend 20 pounds per head... maybe if you order 1 main per person, but there was just so much food as well! I wish London had more BYOs like this... in any case, definitely worth the trek out to Canary Wharf, and a neighborhood gem for those who work or live there!

Forget everything else around, the fact that…read morethis is a refurbished pub so alcohol is available as well as a private shisha area in the back, I'm a happy chappy! The staff have always looked after me (most obvs because I was like their weekly bringing a gang with me each time lol). Their food is lovely and shisha is BOOM. It's the only place where parting with my money is okay for the experience - considering how expensive one is in Central London. From Irn Bru to Skittles, they've got a crazy range of flavours and so expect this place to always be busy. The sooner you get here, the better. Oh and I went here for New Years since they held an event, I danced my socks off in the later hours at this but it was so packed, my granny self probably can't handle it anymore :D

Ever since my trip to Marrakech I have developed a new appreciation for a good tagine so having the…read morechance to visit this newly refurbished restaurant/ shisha bar was great. I went there on Saturday afternoon for dinner. We had the lamb and the kofta tagines, the kofta was amazing, the lamb was ok but felt a little bit under seasoned. As sides we got the dolma and the calamari. The dolmas melted in your mouth and were pretty good (served warm as they should be). The calamari was a bit harder to chew so as a Greek person I would rate it ok but nothing great. The side sauce the starters came with was great though. After the food we decided to try the cocktails. I had the Guilty which tasted like alcoholic dessert, so right up my street, and I also tried the fireman, good for whiskey drinkers bit not really my cup of tea. In terms of atmosphere I think the restaurant tries to be more posh than it is but the massive screens with the football on everywhere you look are incongruous with the atmosphere they are trying to create. There is also a semi- outside area for shisha which feels more Moroccan but it was full of football fans and smoke. In general I think it's good enough but maybe not as authentic as it could have been and it could do with a few more authentic Moroccan dishes in the menu.
