The meeting place is adequate and there is a kitchen available for any potluck that the club may have in conjunction with the meeting. The members reflect the diversity of the Redlands, Anglos and Hispanics, resulting in the normal communication difficulties in Miami, but a common hobby/profession smoothes over any friction. There is a wealth of knowledge within the club as well as connections with the various governmental agencies that interact with beekeepers. I did not hear of any any discussions of honey harvesting equipment activity as a club and I attended a meeting in the month before harvest. Having that equipment and having a group harvest would be a tremendous boon to a beekeeper with just a couple of hives.

The items were then given to the people who worked on them or were resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. They are also keeping millions of pounds of items out of landfills every year. This is a very large Goodwill Store on Dixie Hwy. in Palmetto Bay in south Miami. What stood out to me about this store was the incredible level of organization it had. It looked like the Home Edit ladies got their hands on it. I didn't have high hopes when entering because the door was disgustingly dirty but once I stepped inside I was impressed. All of the clothes were grouped by color, shoes were perfectly lined up, everything was by size, type, and in it's place. Most Goodwill's are organized but this was next level. It made me want to go home and tidy up my own closet. I do enjoy exploring a Goodwill but now that I have discovered the pay by pound outlets I tend to prefer the thrill of the hunt there. Still if you are in the area, this is a good store to stop in if for no other reason than organization inspiration.

They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable leaving your baby with them. My husband was absolutely terrified of leaving our baby girl with someone (in the middle of the pandemic) but we had to. Barbie made him feel comfortable, texted us each day with photos and let us know how she was doing every step of the way. They also do special events for the kiddos (and parents!) to ensure they are having fun. Highly recommend :)

I called kindercare and Ellie, the director, was always there to support me and answer any questions I had. She assured me they would treat my daughter as one of their own and make sure she was comfortable before making any drastic changes. I was scared to switch her to a new daycare but it was the best decision ever. From her first day in Kindercare, she was eating, drinking her milk, she looks so happy when picking her up, it's so clear that the attention and care she's getting here is what she needed. They've helped her learn to walk, say her first words and she is now transitioning to the toddler class. Everyone from Ellie (the director) to all of her teachers are amazing, down to earth, and so nurturing and loving.
