One of the best clubs Auckland has to offer with heavy, pounding bass and staff as hyped as you are. Couches, courtyard, intimate dance floor directly in front of the DJ- a great place to catch some house, techno and sometimes international artists. I am a big fan of seeing Aural Trash play here, although sometimes a small lake can form in the smoking area if it has been raining.

The bar can get really busy and it often feels like they just don't put enough staff on for busy nights. I've been in there twice and have found myself waiting for ages to get served a drink. The bar is located on the fringe of the viaduct which makes a few other bars and clubs a few minutes walk or stumble away. If you want to get a feel of the vibe at Bungalow, I suggest standing outside and listening to the music and peering through the balcony at what people are doing. The outside where they are seats for those that want to still hear the music but have a chat and smoke, the inside is where the dancer floor and bar are located and at the entrance a few tables for those that want to hear the music but also want to sit and chill. I loved the fact that it was empty because it meant that we had a larger dance floor and it made it seem like we had hired the club for a private party. The club has space and has these awesome seats/booths along the sides of the room, they are perfect for getting cosy with a loved one or someone you want to get to know. They are always a perfect place to sit when a group decides to take shots. The set up of the room is fantastic as the bar is the first thing you see when you get there so you sort of get a drink then hit the floor. Plus the DJ is amazing, he did not mind the countless requests from my group and even played some Afro (African) tunes, where he got them I don't know.

If you're looking for 4:20, it's at 373 K'Road (not 420, as you might expect). Head up the stairs, find yourself a nice drink and relax, or get amongst at one of the venue's live acts.

Nothing special. But if you are coming to this venue then that usually means you are coming for a d'n'b gig you want to see. In turn, this means you won't be paying much attention to the venue. I went to see some people that I am a huge fan of so to me this venue was great in the way that it gave them somewhere to perform - that's all I really cared about!
