We wandered into this restaurant during the Statesville Wine Walk. Our party of seven had a good experience. Our waitress, Yvonne, was extremely knowledgable and on point in terms of sharing information. We had mixed reviews for our dinners. Some were great. However, those who got the tilapia, eggplant, and scampi all felt that the dishes lacked flavor. Overall, we had a nice visit. We had a good table in the back and loved our waitress. Food was overall ok.

The appetizer was meager , needed salt, and a bit more Basel, everything was fresh but ... Very disappointing meal, thin tasteless vodka sauce littlest amount of meat and again salt was needed, Chicken piccata was ... weird, chicken wasn't breaded, was sliced, in a thin non lemony sauce with capers and spaghetti on the side , spaghetti was left on the side. Service was hit and miss, late on salad, quick on wine refill, check was slow. I realize we are in the south but if this is considered good Italian food ... you need to get a real place.

Come and ck out this little trattoria in Statesville. So friendly and food is made to order by Alex the Italian chef and owner. Our waitress Yvonne has worked there many years and we enjoyed her stories and history of the restaurant and people who have passed through, some famous and some just friendly folks passing through. We almost feel like family! Check out the celebs who have stopped in. Chef makes all his food to order and it is so tasty. I had the salmon special with a light marinara accompanied by pasta and broccoli which also comes w a salad and bread n butter. I had a very nice Bolla Chianti as well. It was all very yummy. My friend had chef's version of seafood pasta w clams, mussels, scallops and fish. These 2 dishes were reasonable at less this $20 per meal. We finished off our meal w a desert of Tiramisu and coffee and had a nice conversation w a couple passing through town and some regulars. Ck this place out it is open now for dining in and special events. The restaurant wanted to get the word out that they aren't just open for take out as rumors would have it. They are eager to see your happy faces back in their restaurant. So give them some foodie luv and stop in. They do follow the Governor's protocol so rest assured you will be safe and welcome to dine here once again.

My experience at Mezzaluna II was just like being in a friendly relative's home having a family meal. It's just that cozy and comfortable. The proprietor (I don't think is really Italian) couldn't have been a better at doing Italian food and along with his staff couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. Both my husband and I went for the mussels in a white wine sauce with garlic. The flavor produced in the dish were definitively pronounced and totally delicious. It's a place I hope to return to and enjoy again.

Don't. I had chicken carciofo. Came with the Nardone's steamed broccoli. Chicken under seasoned with way too much cream and few artichoke

super slow service, food was not bad but over priced ... one piece of lasagna for 25 dollars …read more maybe 15? it also did not come with anything .. not even salad or vegetable. we are big foodies and maybe this price would be acceptable in a high-end restaurant, but this was not it had a very musty smell. If I eat there again, I would choose to sit outside. the red sauce was good the garlic bread was very hard. Wouldn't recommend it mushroom portions very tiny with an over price pricing.

I do LOVE Italian cuisine but Pasta Amore is NOT even Olive Garden grade Italian food! Don't waste…read moreyour time, taste or money at this restaurant when there are two other excellent choices in Statesville. I, first, was introduced to Pasta Amore's food at an event they catered and I was very impressed with their desserts. The food was good but the desserts were amazing! Tres Leches cake and Cannolis! Based on this we decided to add the restaurant to our "Must Try" list...boy, were we wrong! Don't let the beauty of the outside fool you! We were dressed up and ready for a romantic Italian dinner date. Inside is moody and dark but not in an amore way, no, there's no romantic feel to this dimly lit restaurant. It's also confusing inside, like a maze. Staff were at a bar in the dining area on the left when we arrived but later moved to a bar in the main dining room. We were told to seat ourselves which is another source of confusion at dinner in an Italian restaurant. I get understaffed and conserving energy nowadays but is there such a thing as an Italian casual diner? Next, our drink order was taken from behind the bar by shouting at us, "What do you want to drink"? This was very off putting, especially for my dinner date because the server was behind him. I ordered a domestic beer but was informed there were no bottled beers except Red Oak and there was a craft beer on tap that was very close to a domestic taste. I agreed to go with that. As my beer was served, we were informed of the specials then server left. When the server returned to take our order, we were informed that there was one Cordon Bleu left, as well...this was not mentioned with the Specials. We both ordered the Chicken Breast stuffed with sundried tomatoes & spinach Special. This came with a House Salad and choice of dressing but we were offered a Caesar for an upcharge. I had to add on an appetizer order as we were not offered the opportunity. I ordered Fried Calamari. It is one of my absolute Italian favorites! Summary: Beer was good, I had two and my SO had one. I had to ask for the name of it and I only got the name of the brewery...Moon Brew. As I left, I saw a display on another table about the beers, I'm assuming it was an IPA but your guess is as good as mine! Ah, the app...my Italian favorite...Fried Calamari! Um, no, just no....please, do not order it! Definitely frozen but I know this about all restaurants but this calamari is just so bland, even the batter is flavorless. Maybe heated in oven or maybe a microwave but it was lukewarm at best. Worst Calamari I've ever eaten! House Bread and House Salad were subpar for an Italian restaurant but they do give you packets of butter with the bread and they have Blue Cheese dressing. It was edible and I was starving but definitely not the best bread or salad I've ever had! Entrees were good but you could tell it was not fresh or housemade. Both of our plates looked exactly the same and scratch-made food is not conducive to that level of uniformity or consistency! The taste was not fresh either. Again, it was edible and we were starving! $80.00 later, I would have rather ate at any fast food restaurant in town...there's definitely NO AMORE lost here!

Amalfi's has always done a great job of creating a relaxed atmosphere. People around town are always commenting on how incredibly busy this place is during normal hours…read moreso my husband and I decided to have an early dinner at 3 PM on a Saturday. There were hardly any other people here, except for workers, so we were seated immediately in the bar area. This was a very nice, clean and extremely modern Olive Garden. It's been a few years since we have eaten at one, so I was very surprised at the new look. My husband had a Sam Adams in a cold glass which was greatly appreciated. I had a glass of Moscato which was delicious. Our "Never-ending" salad and breadsticks came out soon after. As always, fresh and delicious. My husband ordered his favorite, The Tour of Italy (Chicken Parmesan, Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna Classico). I tried a bite of everything and the chicken was juicy, the Alfredo was cheesy, and the lasagna had some really tasty Italian sausage in it. I ordered the Ravioli Carbonara. It was the most delicious, decadent dish I've had in ages. Seven large cheesy ravioli in a super yummy, savory carbonara sauce, topped with cheese and popped under the broiler until the top was golden and crispy. Was it traditional Italian? No. Would our Italian-born Nonna have approved? Oh heck yeah. Sadly we were too full to order dessert.
