Opening Day: I visited Pasta Amore around 4pm on their opening day. The outside of the building is uniquely beautiful and I like the name they chose for the restaurant. Unfortunately they chose a location where past businesses didn't last more than 2-3 months. Don't get me wrong I'm rooting for them! Hopefully they have a successful business in Downtown Statesville. I tried their linguini with pesto sauce on a cone. Which is an awesome idea, I know they do this in bigger cities so for someone to bring the idea in our little town is exciting. But when I received it, it came in a plastic take out bag with many napkins around it because the sauce was dripping from the bottom of the cone. The whole idea of the cone is so it can be eaten on the go with no mess. What's the point of having a cone if it's still going to be messy? So because the sauce was dripping it left my pasta very dry and flavorless. (In my opinion, pesto should be mixed with a little bit of Alfredo so it can have a little more texture to it, also tastes absolutely amazing). The inside didn't have an Italian feel to it. More employees sitting down than actual customers. For it being their opening day, I'm going to be a little more lenient on them and give them a second chance.

Excellent meal and excellent value. I cook a lot, and very well Italian food at home so it's gotta be pretty special to go and have Italian at a restaurant. I lived in NY my whole life and moved here 3 years ago. Italian food is pretty limited here. That being said, this place is more than good. It's great. We had the artichoke app. (Omg).. The ravioli special and the veal sorrentino. My husband and I love to eat and we did not leave disappointed. Their sauces are to die for. We finished off with two small cannolis. Fresh cream, crispy shell. Our bill was inexpensive and our bellies were full. We will be back!

Awesome steak again tonite....Cesar never fails to impress....absolutely perfect!! Juicy ribeye and the best portobello mushrooms...wow!

Had lunch here. Great service! My husband had the lasagna and liked it! I had the Spanish ravioli and it was also good! We will be back.

People around town are always commenting on how incredibly busy this place is during normal hours…read moreso my husband and I decided to have an early dinner at 3 PM on a Saturday. There were hardly any other people here, except for workers, so we were seated immediately in the bar area. This was a very nice, clean and extremely modern Olive Garden. It's been a few years since we have eaten at one, so I was very surprised at the new look. My husband had a Sam Adams in a cold glass which was greatly appreciated. I had a glass of Moscato which was delicious. Our "Never-ending" salad and breadsticks came out soon after. As always, fresh and delicious. My husband ordered his favorite, The Tour of Italy (Chicken Parmesan, Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna Classico). I tried a bite of everything and the chicken was juicy, the Alfredo was cheesy, and the lasagna had some really tasty Italian sausage in it. I ordered the Ravioli Carbonara. It was the most delicious, decadent dish I've had in ages. Seven large cheesy ravioli in a super yummy, savory carbonara sauce, topped with cheese and popped under the broiler until the top was golden and crispy. Was it traditional Italian? No. Would our Italian-born Nonna have approved? Oh heck yeah. Sadly we were too full to order dessert. All of the staff, from the hostess to our waitress and food runner were super friendly and attentive. We felt taken care of but not annoyingly so. Excellent timing all around.

Had to ask for almost everytime twice. We received our entrees BEFORE the appetizer and had to ask…read morewhere it was at. They comped it, but what good was that in the middle of the meal. Chicken parm was very good but the chicken scampi had spaghetti noodles instead of fettuccine and no sauce at all. I'm surprised that there're at 2.9....manager was too busy laughing with hostess to come by tables and check with patrons and to even say to have a good evening. Not planning on ever returning.....I'd rather wait an hour to get into Logans.

This is a lovely little gem of a restaurant on the far side of the Publix shopping center (strip…read moremall) on the northern side of Statesville on Turnersburg Highway. Plenty of parking available, with a few handicapped spaces nearby. Every time we've been here, we've been greeted warmly, and seated promptly. The place is very clean with two levels; ground on the left, and additional seating up a couple of steps to the right. It's just an illusion but the staggered seating makes the restaurant appear larger. There are both booths and tables. They can take larger parties, with reservations. Complimentary bread with dipping sauce (olive oil and balsamic vinegar) appears as soon as you are seated. Tasty sauce, but the fresh bread is amazing. They have the standard soda/tea offerings, with a small beer (bottle & draft) and wine list. It's just enough to give you choices without being overwhelming. We've had their Stromboli and Calzone. Always freshly made, with tender dough, and generous filling. Both are available in small and large sizes, but a small is the perfect size for one person. We had take out once (pick up, not delivery), Pasta alla Vodka and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both were fresh and packed well, still very hot when we arrived home. Last night, I brought my husband here for his birthday. We noticed on the menu that Mondays-Wednesdays*, they have a "Two Meals for $30" menu deal that gives you two dinner entrees plus one appetizer to choose from. (Eat in or take out.) We chose the fried ravioli as appetizer, with Carbonara, and Panna e Prosciutto as our entrees. The fried ravioli was heavenly. Delicate, but crispy, with delicious, creamy cheese and a very flavorful marinara sauce to dip in. We could have eaten many, many more plates of these. I had the Carbonara. Good choice, tender pasta, flavorful sauce. Definitely comfort food. My husband had the Panna e Prosciutto. It was beef tortellini with strips of prosciutto in a creamy, Alfredo type sauce. It was different, but delicious. I highly recommend both. (The Panna e Prosciutto is also available with cheese tortellini instead of beef.) We ended up bringing half of each entree home because the servings are large, and the dishes themselves are very hearty and rich. The service was great. The waitstaff was professional and polite. They made sure we had water with our drinks and plenty of napkins when requested. I highly recommend this charming little Italian restaurant. No need to go to national chains when there are places like Vesuvio's available. *On Mondays-Wednesdays, they also have a To-Go deal of one large pizza with one topping plus garlic knots & marinara sauce for $12.99.
