I got a few root canals done and I didn't feel any pain during the work or after! In addition, I got calls from MG Dental office if they had a sooner availability for my appointments. This place is incredibly disrespectful to patients. I made an appointment five months ago, and received a voicemail to confirm the appointment this morning while I was at work and could not pick up the phone. My appointment was supposed to be in 3 days. When I called them back after work today (only a few hours after receiving the call), they told me they cancelled my appointment because I didn't call them back within 2 hours. I asked them how can that be when I was at work and called them back as soon as I got out of work and heard their voicemail. The receptionist ridiculed me for not being to check my phone when I am at work. The receptionist told me if you don't confirm within 2 hours, your appointment is cancelled. This is a horrible protocol for people who work, and all people in general. The receptionist said it's not her decision, so I asked to speak with who made this decision and she told me to call back in a few days. In addition, I never received any notification that they cancelled my appointment. How is that fair that I only found out after calling them back. They clearly don't know how to communicate with patients and don't value them. I will never be returning to this office as they do not care about their patients at all. read more

I scheduled a consultation specifically with Dr. Geylikman one month in advance. During the appointment it turned out that another doctor was assigned and Dr. Geylikman wasn't even in the office that day.... They did not have the courtesy to confirm or at least to notify me about this change, I visited this place because I needed an opinion specifically of that doctor! The receptionist was acting and talking to me like she was doing me a huge favor just acknowledging my existence, the hygienist had the same attitude and was extremely rude. The doctor which they assigned to my appointment to - had no clue about my questions, so I left the clinic without getting any clarity or services. Such a waste of time! read more

I called MG Dental with dental pain and Marina, the Office Manager, (who is awesome) was kind enough to give me an appointment the same day; I was treated by Dr. Geylikman. Xrays were taken, Dr. Geylikman evaluated the problem, explained everything and I was treated; he was very reassuring. I had a dental cleaning by Irina, the hygienist who did an excellent job. I called the office the next day with a question and it was promptly responded to. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at ease. I am EXTREMELY pleased with my experience there. I wrote a very positive review last year, unfortunately, I have had 3 appointments after that review. The doctor simply does not care about your time, they just expect you to sit there and wait. The first time I waited for an hour and a half before the cleaning. The second time I waited for an hour, the dentist also had to give me a second dose of pain killer so I had to wait longer for that to kick it. That appointment lasted 3.5 hours and by the time I came home I spend a total of 4.5 hours just to do a basic filling. Today I had one more appointment, I came in early, after an hour I just gave up. I just got up and walked because my appointment was at 11:30, by 12:30 I was still waiting and there were a few people still ahead of me. I am sorry but he is not that good for me needing to take a day off work to just see a dentist. read more

This is my second visit coming to this office. The first time was a few weeks ago. I had a tooth pain, they took xrays. Dr Geylikman was very nice and communicated his findings in a clear way. He was very thorough. I can tell they get busy that's a plus. People like this office, and it's understandable they're very personable. My second visit was for my cleaning, that I had forgot to book together with the first visit. The dental hygienist (Gabby) was so fun. She made my visit so pleasant. This is the best place I have visited in my life. I have seen so many dentists in the past but Doctor Geylikman was very knowledgeable and super sweet. He knows what he is doing and it shows in the care he had for me as a patient. Very professional staff and clean office. They are not only knowledgeable of procedures and the work that needs to be done, but also give you a detailed breakdown of what you are entitled to and what your insurance covers. There are no surprises when it comes to payment, as opposed to most of the other places that I have gone to. I have visited several dentists in my lifetime and constantly have issues despite my proactivity in scheduling appointments and my trying to be "on top of things." Dr Geylikman is professional, breaks down what should be done more immediately and what can wait, and makes helpful and genuine recommendations that are in the patient's best interest. I also have TMJ and he never seems like it is a hassle to work with that (although I know that it is). There is no long wait time in this office, which is a huge plus. Some months ago my gums were inflamed . Dr. Geylikman did a deep clean but alas there were inflamed pockets in my gums and I had to go to a periodontist . Her assessment was to extract . The cost for a new implant ? Approximately $2,000 being that my insurance only paid 30%. Dr Geylikman disagreed with the assessment and advised me to get a second opinion from Dr. Michelle Bailey . Dr. Bailey said both doctors were right .. It was perhaps savable , perhaps not . So we did some oral surgery and sure enough, she was able to save the tooth. Dr G was right after all. Dr Geylikman could have easily not sent me to get a second opinion and in doing so could have made a considerable amount of cash in the process building me the implant . But he didn't and he lost money in the end , In other words he's extremely ethical . I've been going there around seven years now and today was one of the few times in my life I haven't had to get a filling or something else after my bi-annual exam. He's an excellent dentist and a stand up guy to boot . HIGHLY recommended . read more

I have been going to this office since I was a teen, when it was headed by other dentists and I continue coming here with my family from Long Island because doctor Mike and his entire staff is awesome. Marina at the front desk has been a fixture for ages, I can't imagine the office without her, she is heart and soul of the place and knows all the ins and outs. All the assistants are really nice and great at what they do. I liked the previous hygienist, Julia, a lot and I was a bit worried whether Gaby, her replacement, would be good, and let me tell you, Gaby is off the charts. She truly care about your dental health and does amazing work, especially in my case where I am very sensitive, with a gagging reflex to boot! What I love about Mike is that he is very knowledgeable, but he also knows when to limit his involvement and refer the case to a specialist instead of some money-hungry dentists who claim to be specialists in everything and causing more harm then good to their patients as a result. I had situations a few times which required more complex work and Mike made great referrals to an endodontist and an oral surgeon, which turned out to be great pros in their specialties, just goes to show you that when you need something beyond his scope, he has the right people for the jobs. He came through for me again today when I felt that my gum was inflamed. Mike quickly diagnosed the issue, did the procedure to alleviate the cause and sent me home with appropriate meds, thereby, saving my weekend. This is seriously an amazing place. read more

I came to Dr. Geylikman office on the recommendation of one of the attorneys in my office, who knows Dr. Geylikman from grade school. My current dentist is in Bay Ridge, where I live, and I decided to switch dentists because I was no longer satisfied with the work done from my previous dentist. Even though I travel by car to Dr. Geylikman's office, it is worth the trip. To receive great care and friendly staff and attention, is worth going to his office. My first visit with the dentist was a few weeks ago. Upon entering the office, I found the staff, and Dr. to be very professional, courteous and friendly. I went his office to get my teeth cleaned. He said I needed deep cleaning. After my insurance company approval, we started it. By the way, he said I had cavities need to be worked. I said ok. I knew I had problem on my 2 bottom teeth (1 on left bottom side and the other on the right bottom). However, he started working a tooth I have never recognized cavity, pain... He said there was a minor cavity on it he would work on the other teeth( the teeth actually had problem). On the fallowing appointment, he worked on my left bottom tooth that had cavity. However, I m not able to chew anything with that tooth anymore and have more pain than before. When I visit his office to get cleaning done, he said he could fix the problem, but, I would never let him touch my teeth again. You are a customer, not a patient who needs help.He only considers the money he would get from the insurance company. No talent at all, and no work ethic... Teeth cleaning...
