The worst dentist ever! I'm sharing my personal experience at Prime Dental Partners of Sheepshead Bay so others can make informed decisions. In March 2021, I chipped a front tooth and began treatment here. I was told it needed a root canal and crown, but the process dragged on for months while I was repeatedly told my insurance wouldn't approve it because it was "cosmetic." When I called the insurance myself, they approved the treatment immediately. My crown was placed in August 2021. By July 2025, I developed a strong rotting odor, bleeding, gum swelling, and a loose crown. I went back several times and was consistently told that "everything is fine," even though the symptoms continued. Another tooth became infected during this time and eventually had to be removed. Later, the paperwork submitted to insurance for additional treatment was incomplete, and my claim was denied. Due to them not sending proper explanation of what's happening, just a request for root canal of tooth #8.. I have called the insurance and asked them myself. On December 6, the crown fell out while I was working with a client (I am a licensed esthetician). The tooth underneath had broken due to decay. The next morning, I went in for an emergency visit. Before even examining me, the dentist had the receptionist ask if I wanted the crown cemented back on. After I was taken in, dentist smelled like cigarettes and he again proposed cementing it despite the condition of the tooth. When I asked questions and expressed concern, the situation escalated. He began yelling at me, and at one point told me I "deserve to go to hell," and then screamed at me to leave the office and to the receptionist to never let me back in again. This review reflects only my personal experience, but I hope it helps others make better decisions than choosing this place. Worst dentist ever with amazing front desk ladies. Ps. my son went to prime dental located at 2614 ave U to do dental work, they received auth as they said when they called to move up his appointment after doing half the work and on his last visit they gave him an EOB from your company showing a denial of services for a post at a cost of $150 and told him if he dosnt pay it they will not finish the work. He came home to tell me this at which time i called and spoke to Amanda who told me that even though the EOB showed $0 as patients responsibility and even though they already got paid $430.95 to them if he didnt pay the $150 they wouldn't finish the work they already started and got paid for in the state of NY it is illegal to balance bill a Medicaid patient and if they are doing this to my son i can guarantee they are doing this to all the people who dont know any better that office is committing Medicaid fraud and should be stopped read more

If you would like to be scammed, lied to, and discriminated due to your health, hygiene, religion, and race then go to Prime Dental Partners. The owner of Prime Dental has lied to me regarding my insurance provider declining my request for a second root canal, post, and crown but when I contacted my insurance provider to find out the reason of the denial for my second root canal, my insurance provider informed me that the dentist and staff has lied to me and has been paid for the procedure nearly 2 weeks before my appointment. thus far yet, the owner and staff has lied to me, attempted to commit fraud, and tried to charge me for a procedure that my insurance paid them for. Nonetheless, the OWNER of this establishment speaks about the patients and their own staff in a horrible manner. I have video recording of the entire incident, along with witnesses regarding Dental Partners breaking HIPPA LAW. The Attorney General, ODP, News/Media has been contacted to further investigate my experience. My attorney will be filing a major lawsuit against this practice along with adding the dentist that worked on my second root canal. I still do not and will not understand why the dentist has gone to the extent of opening my root canal while stating my insurance provider decline my approval to approve the second root canal. read more

This is long overdue, but I wanted to say a big and public thank you to the folks at Prime Dental on Avenue U. It may sound funny to gush about things like root canals and crown fittings, but Doctors Garda and Campbell in particular are just absolutely top notch. They're intuitive, caring and thorough, and their technical skills are spot on. We've only been going to them since December, but we're already BFFs with the office staff (hi, Elle and Ellen!). Here's the thing. The Fromberg clan has been seeing one dentist for going on 40 years, so the bar was pretty high for finding a place we were as comfortable, and Prime has done this. read more

This place is SO UNPROFESSIONAL. No one had a clue about what they were doing. I came in at 11:30 for my 12oclock appointment and was left waiting in the chair until 2:45pm while they try to duct tape the equipment together. Mind you I was the only patient there! They were playing games about the payment from the minute I walked in , it was broken telephone between me the insurance company and the front desk."he said she said you said they said..." They made me pay upfront out of pocket until we get insurance approval, did no work on me , due to the broken equipment and still wanted me to pay. And I was willing to pay if anything got done...BIG SCAM. The staff were unhygienic, touching everything with the gloves that were in my mouth, cursing like sailors the entire time. Very uncomfortable, no bedside manners. would not recommend unless you wanna get played I found other reviews had similar issues with payment so I guess this wasn't the first time. Turns out the good reviews are for the previous owners! After all of this they proceeded to share my person information on social media which is ILLEGAL . My friend had work done and all I can say is STAY AWAY. She had a horrible experience. This dentist doesn't know what he's doing.

I been a regular patient in this clinic, as in I'm here every week. I had my bridge fixed a few month ago and two months later I have to come back because it never stayed longer than a week. I'm going back tomorrow for the 4th time and I hope he can do something else about it. I paid extra 1.5 K for something that is not working. I'll give my five stars if this this get fix. read more

Secondly because it is a he said she said, there is no way to really find out who's telling the the truth, but because Dr Stienberg is a professional, Im having my dental work be redone and my insurance company has no reason to investigate him. THE BEST DENTIST IN BROOKLYN I thank god there are still people who understand that there are people like me who have alot of fears and anxietys about the doctor's and dentist that we put off going being newly diagnosed with diabetes and a bunch of childhood problems at 50 years old i just about givin up but my wife was referred by a co worker to have me see dr gharda heaven sent this man to all people with anxietys and problems hes compassionate he talks to you and understands always checking to make sure your comfortable and ok I'm having working done i would of never gotten had it not been for finding him if you have any fears or worrys he makes them disappear hes always positive and that makes all your worrys go away Peter b read more
