Gennaro was nothing but professional and kind in talking through all of my options. He was helpful in getting the soil test results from the Brooklyn College lab very quickly and helping me interpret them. We ended up deciding to remove the native Brooklyn soil that was filled with lead and pouring concrete on top. This task required putting up plastic sheeting to carry out the leaded soil through the building with contaminating the inside space, as there is no street access from the backyard. This was a project that had to be done super quickly, I am so thankful that Gennaro was able to squeeze it in to his busy schedule. The crew was super respectful and worked at warp speed! The bricks were rebuilt to perfection and were laid patiently and precisely. Many masons forget the art of laying bricks but you can tell in it's Robs veins and he is passionate about it. He then demolished my walkway/alleyway that was pitched towards my house letting in water into my basement. He repaved it away from me and my neighbors house. Actually my neighbor was so impressed she hired him to rebuild her back patio. This pretty much eliminated 99% of water that was getting into basement. Same goes for driveway he ripped out the old and laid down new driveway. Lastly he gave me the idea of building a small pedestal for my ac units and pitched it away as they were taking moisture from my neighbor. Rob and his entire crew were professional and got the job done efficiently and correctly. I even gained some good tips and insight from Rob. Lastly, masonry is known to be an expensive job, but Robs price is extremely fair based on type of work and final result. If I ever have any masonry work Rob is my guy!

JOB: Paint livingroom & foyer, remove old baseboard & window moldings install new. Install 3 new doors. Run wires for TV, install wall mount & TV. Skim coat & paint bathroom. Tile over existing tile floor & reglaze tiles. Issues: Painting/molding- 1. Painting around light switch rather than removing as a professional would. (picture attached) 2. Incorrect paint finish used on bathroom walls which led to cracking & now has to be redone (picture attached) 3. Fail to sand bathroom door frame (picture) 4. Sloppy seams and excessive chalk used on new baseboard moldings (pictures) 5. Used cut baseboard molding for window molding rather than using what I showed him matching what was in my bedroom. TV- 1. Unaware of what wires to pull which lead me running to spectrum to find out. a. If a contractor accepts a job, it's reasonable to expect them to know how to fully complete not ask me in the middle of doing it. 2. Wanting to plaster around pulled HDMI cable after pulling it. What does one do if wire needs to be replaced break the wall? a. There are switch plates for this, I am a female who works in finance - how do I know this and not a professional contractor? 3. Multiple attempts to hang TV mount with no attempt to repair holes left. (picture) 4. Nail Damaged spectrum wire. After job was complete, had to have spectrum rerun a new wire. I removed old wire, repaired holes and painted. Damage to home- 1. Numerous scratches left on my wood floor (pictures) 2. Someone/ thing slammed into foyer light breaking inner light bulb, nearly got glass in my face when I removed it to clean. I find no joy in leaving a negative review however would not want someone else going thru what I did. **Updated in response to company** I had no intention on responding but my review was 100% honest, I can't say the same for the response. This is 100% a lie... "In regards to plastering around an hdmi cable, we simply asked if we should do so, so that there isn't a large plate on the wall or if they would like a plate installed. This has been done both ways and is simply a matter of preference. As shown in the picture, with holes behind the tv bracket, would love the opportunity to correct if allowed." You did not ask! I asked you and if I didnt you would have plastered around the wire. There was no option given you did not even have the plate to use. I had to run to Home Depot to get your crew the plate. Additionally you were given the opportunity to correct the holes as you were made aware prior to final day; you made the concious choice not to. This is a lie as well " The following day, the scratch was brought to our attention. Of course, this was very distressing and immediately offered to have the floors refinished." Per text On Friday 1/6 at 10:07am you advised " I can come back with golden oak and blend it in. It will still be slightly noticeable but not to someone not looking for it" I responded back on Friday 1/6 10:14am. I did not hear back until Monday at 10:57am but this time I had already went to home depot and made the best of situation left. To my knowledge golden oak and refinishing floors are not the same, moot point. I am sure you are capable of fanatastic work but that isn't what was provided to me. As you are aware there were other issues, missed paint spots that I had to touch up. The picture of molding is just one spot there were many. Wanting to tile around the toliet bowl. We had a horrible experience with this company. We hired George and his team for a strictly…read moreinterior job on our turn of the century townhouse located in Summit: 2 bedrooms, built in 1905. The overall job took four months to complete - and this was no complicated venture. It involved all of the rooms the same color, with trim - nothing fancy. This is also after we struck a much needed sunporch touch up from the job simply because we just wanted them out of our house by the end of the harrowing process. The biggest issue has been the bathroom. They painted and claimed it finished THREE times, and still - four days after each time - the paint began to chip and fall off the walls. They claimed (after the fact, not before) that it was due to the walls being plaster and that we would have to REPLACE THE WALLS. Which, as a homeowner, I'm sure you can imagine sounds ridiculous. You would think that with "30 years experience" in a town like Summit, laden with historic homes, this company would have cracked the code to painting a 10 square foot bathroom with plaster walls. After a week of the final job being deemed "finished" our bathroom is currently peeling again - so it seems not. We are going to have to hire another company. On top of doing a terrible job, they were inconsistent with timing - we never knew when they were going to arrive and sometimes were at our house late in the morning and well into when we were coming home from work which was a major inconvenience. They left paint dust debris all over our house along with giant primer stains all over our yard. Do not use this company - they were a waste of money after four months of "work" and the job still did not get completed. They displayed deplorable workmanship and we fully regret letting them have the job after interviewing several other companies for the job.
