Did it save me money? Yes. The work was done. Insurance sent me a check. IMMG never sent an invoice - just a call from the salesman asking for money. Well, salesman, where's the invoice? A few weeks later, I did receive some made up, Excel version, of an invoice. Over $5500 more than what insurance was paying out. This is separate from the skylights he put in and never gave me the details behind that either. The salesman is the ONLY person I have ever spoken to. When I ask him for back up, it takes weeks. I will not pay without details of what he's asking for. Weeks go by, he calls again with "I made a giant mistake. I would never have done your roof for what insurance was paying on." Well -- too bad for you. I sent IMMG 2 checks, through my bill-pay service. For some reason, this company has a VERY hard time reconciling checks to accounts. I got call after call from the salesman that checks were not received. When I ask for his accounting or billing contact, he puts me off and comes back with "oh, things are OK, never-mind". This is very sketchy business handling. Be very careful of what is promised by this company. Get details of what you are paying for! Do not hand over checks from YOUR insurance. I have learned my lesson and hoping to keep others clear from such a sketchy business practice.

My wife and I were victims of two back-to-back wind and hail storms that hit our entire area in…read moreMay, 2014. Our roofing, siding and gutters all needed to be replaced along with the screens on our porch. There was some minimal interior damage as well. We had many, many storm chaser companies we never heard of from all over the country knocking on our door, calling our home and sending us postcards. We settled on our top three contractors, including IMMG of Rockford, IL and we selected them because they were always telling us the truth (I am a former home builder/remodler myself so we already knew the answers to each of our technical questions. I referred IMMG to three neighbors who all selected them as their contractor of choice. Ancient house needed extensive foundation work. My Foundation Pro said my gutters were…read moreundermining all the work he had done. I called Eric because his crew was terrific with my garage gutters. I was at the end of his waiting list, but the job only took 1 1/2 days once my turn came. I needed completely new fascia, soffets, 6 inch downspouts and gutters. The extra half day was because his crew needed to rebuild the roof and fascia board to actually do the work. He also installed a top-of-the-line gutter guard for me. Most importantly , his team positioned all the new down spouts at least 10 feet away from my house -the way I had asked. Thank God, Eric and his team knew what they were doing. My house now looks wonderful, and it is completely water tight. Thank you for the terrific job.

I called to have them come over and give me an estimate to repair my roof and gutter. It took them…read morea while to get to me before they came over. I signed a contract with them to get it completed by a certain date. They never kept in contact as to what day they were actually going to come over and do the roof. They showed up and did the roof part of it, but not the gutter part. I didn't hear from him for over a week a week and already past the contract deadline completion date. I also asked him for a quote to do the entire fascia around the house. I never got one. By this time i just wanted him to complete the project. He finally got ahold of me and explained that he had family issues and that's why it wasn't complete. As a costumer, I don't want to hear about your family issues. You're the owner of the company and have a project manager that works for you. If you don't trust the project manager, why have one. Have him earn his money and reach out to costumers if you can't. I was told serval times that they would be out today to finish the job. They never showed until 2 weeks after the deadline. He stated that we just got the materials to finish the job. Again, not my problem. Communication and customer service should be the first thing that needs to be done if you want the customer to recommend your company to other people looking for any roof repairs. Sorry that I have to write a review about this. The owner is a nice guy, but young. Get your project manager more involved in the company and have him reach out to costumers if things are going to be late or problems arise. If you're looking for a company to not call, communicate, or go over the contract deadline. Then use them. I'll go someplace else.

We had a very disappointing experience with our basement remodel and would not recommend this…read morecontractor. (Brannon King) One of the biggest issues was that the plaster wall finish--clearly listed in our contract and fully paid for--was never completed. We received plaster/ joint compound walls. Which is not as durable as plaster and less expensive. When we brought up concerns about the quality of the work, the contractor was unable to handle any feedback and became difficult to communicate with instead of addressing the issues professionally. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of paying in full before the project was finished. Now, despite the vanity being included and already paid for, the contractor is refusing to come back and install it. This has left us with an incomplete project and additional stress trying to resolve something that should have been handled properly from the start. Overall, the lack of follow-through, poor communication, and refusal to complete agreed-upon work made this a frustrating and costly experience. We strongly advise others to be cautious and avoid paying in full before all work is completed to your satisfaction.

When Andrew, a Project Manager with Scandia, stopped by my house to let me know hail damage had…read moreoccurred in my neighborhood, I was skeptical. He informed me his company was replacing the roof on a couple of homes in my area due to a storm. I allowed Andrew access to my roof; he did a thorough job providing me with photographic documentation of hail damage, and helped walk me through the process of making a claim to my insurance company. When the Insurance Adjuster came to my home to see if insurance would pay for the damage, Andrew came along, too. He stayed with the Adjuster, pointing out all the areas with damage, until all the Adjuster's questions were satisfied. This may sound like no big deal, but it took the Adjuster a VERY long time, and Andrew remained professional and patient throughout the process. The Insurance Adjuster approved my house for a brand new roof. Andrew's team did an excellent job of tearing off and replacing my roof. They were courteous, hard-working, on-time, and did a excellent job cleaning up any mess they made. We had additional damage to our decking; Andrew and his team at Scandia worked hard with my insurance company to get that paid for as well. During the insurance approval process and contract signing, Andrew keep in touch regularly. He has excellent communication skills; he's definitely an all-around nice guy! My experience with Scandia Construction was great. I highly recommend them!
