Weird since this is supposed to be a chocolate festival. There was a small classic car show. The best part was talking to the owners and listening to them talk about their cars, the history, the smiles they get from strangers when they're driving, etc. There was a handful of artisans. I purchased a beautiful glass pendant from a vendor who mentioned she joined the festival last minute because another show had cancelled on her. Probably the reason there weren't too many there today. Overall a cute little festival with plenty of food and rides for the kids. Hopefully next year's will be back to "normal".

Before my granddaughter went back to Bellevue, we bought tickets online and went to this fair. It was quite a fun experience! We arrived early, and parking was a breeze, well organized . We headed to one most wanted attraction, the Alaska pig racing!! The benches were full, but some very kind people squeezed in to make room for us. It was quite a show, and the host made the crowd participate too!! Then the petting zoo, the games, the food, the snacks.... Expensive, but it was fun. Then the heat got to us and we went home. It would be so awesome if the weather was cooler so we can enjoy everything!!! Guess we need to come back next year.

My wife and I went on a Saturday late afternoon. Parking is $15 (although I saw people park far away and walk in order to forego paying for parking) and there are staff/volunteers directing traffic to park as efficiently as possible. Again, I've never been to a County Fair before but it was I expected. - We saw a bunch of animals and got to pet some - There were various carnival rides and games - There was a diverse range of food including all the deep fried items you can imagine. - Different merchandise. Cowboys, live stock exhibitions, live music, etc. Between all those activities, it would be pretty easy to spend a lot of $$, but my wife and I were able to exercise some restraint to watch some of the acts and exhibits and not rack up a huge tab, plus I'm afraid of heights so rollercoasters wouldn't be my thing.

Purchased tickets ($20) included 2 drink tickets per ticket for wine or beer. There is also a designated 21 and over drinking area (pours stop 1 hour before festival ends), which is also where the live bands play. The street festival is situated along First Street and there are various vendors, local Livermore stores lining the street. There is a food truck area, and an area for the kids to play. There is also no need to purchase a ticket, as it's not checked to enter, and is only good if you want to drink beer or wine. If you're into drinking cocktails there are restaurants and bars also along the main route of the festival.

As for the garlic maple brown sugar ice cream, you can hardly taste the garlic in it. It mostly tasted like the maple brown sugar. Besides the food from the cali garlic alley, they have other food vendors and also a few vendors selling items as well. There is a pageant show, cooking demos, the show & shine car show, photography exhibit, splash zone for the kiddos, monster truck rides and pony rides. Overall, we've been to better festivals and this one was not worth going to. It's their 2nd year for this festival and it was lacking. We went at around 9 pm on July 4th and there was still a lot of people but not enough to dampen the experience thankfully. Tickets are easy to grab online and there is ample parking available because it's in the great mall. When we first walked in we were greeted with lots and lots of foam. Foam in the air like its snowing, and foam on the ground. My nephew was so excited and kept running through it excitedly which was cute. We were also told the last show of the day was about to start so we luckily caught it. Loved watching all 3 performers - aerial, juggling, and hoops. From there we just walked around and saw as much as we could. The little rooms they have with different decorations and aesthetics are great for pictures and selfies. There are so many good photo ops that I basically spent an hour being the munchkins personal photographer :) was a great time
