Each time I've come here, I've waited 25+ minutes in line, just to get acknowledged & checked-in. 25 minutes seems like an eternity when all you want to do is let them know you're here, and then sit in the waiting area. They need a better system. 2) Although the exam rooms are reasonably clean, the lobby area feels like a germ-infested, filthy mess. Probably because the place is so busy, but when foot traffic is high, that's when you need to break out the mop buckets even more. I avoided touching anything I didn't have to... 3) On my last visit, I was poked no less than 5 separate times just for a simple blood draw. At the end, I looked like Edward Scissorhands had worked me over. ?!?!?!?? Obviously the girl who attempted it the first four times had no clue what she was doing. Then, they brought in another person who got it on the first try.

Without the tests even coming back positive for anything , I was prescribed doxycycline as an antibiotic treatment. About half way through the treatment I was feeling really bad abdominal pain. I called my pcp at this office and she told me "Oh that's completely normal with doxycycline, just finish the course ". I finished the course. And after , My pain symptoms got so bad I ended up in the emergency room several times since. I was diagnosed with doxycycline induced gastritis . (Inflammation of the stomach lining ) . The medication I was prescribed here literally damaged my stomach lining. And my life has been hell ever since. Instead of trying to treat it. The doctor who prescribed it referred me to a GI practice , who didn't have anyone available but a Nurse practitioner. And I ended up paying hundreds of dollars in copays there just to make the issue even worse. This happened back in January and it's April now and I'm still in pain . I can't eat anything besides chicken toast or bread. And this has made my life a living hell. I went in for a visit and got blood work done. And when the results came back I was told " See you In May " . This place is corrupt and they will literally prescribe you medications without a active diagnosis or a confirmation of one. And they will say "Well that's the standard of care. " The doctors here are pharmaceutical sales people. Not doctors who care about you. I'm still going through the gastritis. This is the most miserable thing I have ever been through and could of all been prevented if the doctor would of waited for test results to come back instead of throwing a prescription at me. I'm down almost 100lbs now. I can't eat anything. And I'm in constant pain. They ruined my life !

The waiting area has limited seating with 2 double-seats. They only allow the patient to go to the testing rooms. You'll be instructed to check in at the 2nd floor MDC desk before heading to the fourth floor. If you can park on the 2nd floor of the parking garage the bridge connects you to the hospital and you will walk directly into the MDC area. Kelly was my tech and she's performed my tests before. She is very personable, friendly and explains each step of the procedures well. The room was very clean, she wore a mask the entire time and the room was a comfortable temperature. After I completed the tests she submitted the reports to my physician since I was headed back to the second floor to meet with him. He had already reviewed the reports by the time I was taken to a patient room. The testing process goes quickly and they use the time wisely.

She closed the door and I didn't see anybody else for two hours. Doctor came in and ordered some medicine and a Cat scan. The nurse started my IV, I have kidney disease so I told her I was a hard stick she got it the first time and said it wasn't her best work but it would do. About ten minutes later it started leaking, I called the desk and was told someone would be in, well about ten minutes later my arm was swollen and I had water all over the bed. The nurse finally came in and discontinued the IV and said the excess water under my skin would absorb in a couple of days. She left... The radiologist who took me to Cat scan, did my CAT scan and then asked if she could try the start my IV after I already had my test. She stuck the needle in my arm and it went right through the vein and I told her it hurt and she kept digging around at which point she must have hot a nerve and I pulled back. I told her to stop, she then looked at the male radiologist and said I moved. What???? Now it's my fault??? I came back to my room where a nurse came and did a set of vitals and I told her what happened, she said she didn't understand why she would even try when she was not told to do so and the doctor said to just wait. I am calling patient services in the morning to share my experience with hopes it might make a difference but I truly doubt it. My room was dirty, the floors were disgusting! I was in this little claustrophobic room with the door shut. I am not sure this room even met Covid standards. Avoid this hospital if you value your life, at least the emergency room!!!

The whole staff at the Newport office is always friendly and they have been super helpful in aiding the transition of my allergy shots. They've gone above and beyond calling my previous allergist before my vial is out to get a replacement mailed in. I can't imagine going to an allergist anywhere else!
