Rudest waitstaff to the maximum whether you are a spanish speaker or not which my partner actually is, they will judge your appearance and if you dont appear to be dominican expect to be given shabby portions and overcharged. Went here to get tostones. Tried to place an order with a female employee. She started to speak in Spanish. I mention to her that I don't speak Spanish. I assumed that she would speak in English or try to understand what I'm asking. I pointed to the tostones and ask her how much. The lady then proceeds to walk away approaching another employee. I assumed that she was trying to get someone who spoke English to assist me. I walked towards her to see if I could place the order. She then walks away towards a customers table. Mi Bella Dama was a favorite of mine for almost 3 years now. I came to this place for the authentic dominican flavor but today was my last day going there. Here is why: While the food is ok/good. The way the ladies handle the food is far from acceptable. They are sloppy, careless and handle food as if it is not something people are about to go eat. The serving of portions depending on who assists you is extremely inconsistent. Some of the ladies are very rude at times specially to non, Dominican costumers. Today was the last straw when the owner approached me and told me dogs weren't allowed inside the place. First, I did not knows dogs were or were not allowed which was my I was carrying my dog in my hands, but what bothered me the most was her tone and the way she approached me... she could have been cool about it but rather chose to be rude and less than professional in letting me know that dogs were not welcomed. Delivery was fast & the food was good, portions were a bit smaller than expected. We ordered pernil with rice & beans, only a couple of pieces of pernil were in the platter. We also ordered the beef stew which came plenty & a plate of fried pork skin with plantains which was also a bit smaller than expected. Horrid, I don't write reviews, but I feel like I should detail the experience my pregnant wife received. My pregnant wife, who is 30 weeks made a order for a full rotisserie chicken, with rice and beans. She didn't mind the wait which was a LONG wait, took literally about an 1 hour and a half. That's not the only thing that was wrong with their service. Which to my surprise my girl didn't even complain(Because she is one to light a fire under anybody's ass) about. After the long wait, and I mean extremely long, they only brought the rice and beans. THEY FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THE CHICKEN!!!!!!! So she decided to call the place not even to fight, just to find out what happened to the chicken, and we here the lady in the background complaining literally saying "NO that girl is liar I gave everything to the delivery boy she's lying", so now my girl is a bit frustrated because why is this lady talking to her coworker like that about us, so the lady gets on the phone and changed her tone, and my girl not looking to fight says listen I'm 30 week's pregnant, we waited an hour and half for the order, can you please just send the chicken I am hungry and just care about what I paid for, so the lady says okay I will send it again. Now we wait another 1 hour, total time probably spent was about 3 1/2 hrs now, and nothing. So we decide to call back again, and this lady is screaming again saying this time it's our fault that he was here, and he brought the chicken, and we didn't answer? Why wouldn't we answer? I mean we did wait almost 3 hrs now, and we answered originally for the rice and beans? I mean why wouldn't we answer? We explain to her that she's playing some games or something because one we didn't have no missed call's from the delivery boy, and two we didn't have any missed calls from the restaurant. At the end when the chicken finally arrived we send the delivery boy back with the chicken and get a refund for that amount, but the experience was so horrible I had to take the time and write this long review. Oh P.S The Delivery boy was great, he even told us that she didn't give him the chicken. What we think happened is she forgot to give him the chicken so instead decided to yell make a scene and blame the delivery boy, at the end of the day we don't care about who's fault it is we just wanted our damn chicken. Moral of the story this place sucks, and if they mess up they're just going to point fingers, and not resolve the issue at hand. The lady's name who made this whole problem is Claribel. Other then her we don't have any issue's up until someone contacts us about this issue I'll leave the negative review till further notice. read more

The food is decent. The prices are average. The staff is very polite and the premise seems very clean. Speaking Spanish would help a lot since the staff is not bilingual. The place is never really crowded and the location is in the vicinity of shopping stores. For the area this place is good. However there are other and better restaurants in adjoining neighborhoods. Bar area is small and the place is not well lit. Staff is hardworking and will do their best to please the customers. read more
