Horrible, Horrible food and service at this Jackson, Alabama restaurant. We ordered #80 sausage queso . It was crumbled burnt sausage with cheese melted on top. I live in Texas, I know what queso looks and taste like, this was not queso. The chips were not fresh and the salsa watery. Also ordered #68 chicken beef and shrimp . Love the nachos here. My daughters love the Jarritos is sodas. This is our favorite restaurant in Jackson. I do wish they had chilequiles.

You can say I'm pretty particular about Mexican food because I like very authentic Mexican. I had enchiladas Supreme and a couple pork tamales and the food was pretty darn good. The tamales could have had some more meat in them but otherwise good flavor. Very friendly staff will definitely come back read more

The food here is usually good. The service is all over the place. Some days you get amazing service and some days not so much. The owner is always friendly and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy. Some of the veteran servers are fabulous. But then there are the days when the owner and/or the right servers aren't there... and that's when you can see the difference. read more

I try to go the Mom and Pop restaurants to support them. However tonight's meal was not good. I tried the 2 beef burritos with rice and beans and a side of cheese queso. I don't know where to start except to say the sweet tea was the best. The burritos were very dry and no taste. I did put a lot of Chiluba thinking it may help but it didn't. The rice and beans were tasteless and unfortunately the cheese queso would not stay on a chip because it was so runny. Needless to say I will not come back here again. Looks like they call it "Mi Casa" now. Ive been in town for four days and this is by far the best place to eat. I love Mexican food. Their service is friendly, fast and fresh. Kept my drink full (a pet peve of mine) and bent over backwards to take care of me. I wish this was closer to home... this is my second night in a row having dinner here. Tonite was the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla... excellent! I cant say enough good about them. read more

Don't know about the others that have posted here...But my wife and I live 2 hrs from here and Casa Grande makes the Best Camarones Diablo anywhere. The owner is a master with this dish and we take every opportunity to come here and have the best. read more

The food here is good and the menu offers something a little different than Nolasco's down town. This setting is more flamboyant and loud, kind of like a picnic bar scene. There is nothing remarkable about either location (I lived in the border for five years). But, I can see this as being one of jackson's better choices. They also have great customer service and better chips and salsa than Nolasco's. read more

Best mexican food ive had in a while! Great prices too. Its probably my favorite place to eat in Jackson. In addition to the food, the service is outstanding. Those people are on their game. If you go, try the steak fajitas and the margaritas. FANTASTIC. i dont understand how the hell this place is rated so low. Everything tastes like it came from a can or mix. I have never seen neon orange Spanish rice before eating here. We will not be back. As a local patron, we enjoy this Mexican restaurant. I absolutely love their salsa and white cheese. I compare other restaurants salsa to theirs now. My favorite dish is the shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas which can serve two easily. Prices are fair for the area. The servers are great---- drinks don't go low at all. As a Jackson native who moved away, then back, then away again, I have to say that of ALL the restaurants in Jackson, Alabama -- past and present (at least in my lifetime) -- Casa Grande has the BEST customer service in town. Is the food the best Mexican food you will ever taste in your life? No. But it's darn good. Then again, it's Jackson, Alabama, people. The town is not known for its hidden dining treasures. When I was growing up the "nice restaurant" in town was Pizza Hut! As a lover of Mexican food, I always stop in at local Mexican restaurants in towns large and small because you know what you're getting. Every time I visit Jackson, I stop in at Casa Grande where I'm always greeted with a smile. It was also my late mother's favorite place to have lunch when I would visit so, for me, there's a sentimental attachment too. But in all honesty, compared with the other sit-down restaurants in Jackson, Casa Grande is hands down the best. If the Mexican food is good enough for me, I guarantee it's good enough for you! read more
