Area was also not cleaned up afterwards, and I was required to supply a ladder and floor coverings - items which I would again assume a handyman would have available. I do wish I had been able to leave a better review, but if someone does work that makes me not want to ever use them again, I think it's only fair to let others know they may also want to be careful using the service.

I had been meaning to do a bunch of repairs on my house (which is just about 13 years old and remediated 6 years ago) and was trying to reach out to different people to do different jobs with varying levels of success. The result was a backlog of things to do and coordinate with different parties. I originally reached out to David for some help with repairing a shower door that had fallen off. He replied quickly and showed up to do his estimate as scheduled. While he was over, he looked at a bunch of the other things that I needed to have done and offered to do them as well. He repaired everything in one day only a few days later. I have to applaud David for his courage to start his own business. But this makes sense for him. He knows he is good at what he does and he is organized. He is highly professional in his correspondence. He will outline precisely what he intends to do. He is timely. He is versatile in the tasks that he can perform. He possesses initiative. And he will follow-up with thorough documentation of what was done and needs to be done. Payment is also easy and he accepts a number of modalities. I have attached some of the pictures he took for the various jobs including: 1. Window blind replacement 2. Water valve and supply line replacement (more details below) 3. Ceiling fan remote control failure diagnosis 4. Watersealing of door threshold (more details below) 5. Tub spout repair 6. Shower door repair and adjustment (I contacted a bunch of people who would not offer to do this) 7. Sliding door repair (which another contractor said they would fix but never did) I want to comment in particular on his ability to diagnose problems. For the longest time, my kitchen faucet had slow flow. Just the kitchen faucet. Over the years, I contacted perhaps 3-4 different plumbing companies. They recommended ridiculous things like increasing the water pressure to the house (which didn't make a lot of sense given that the other faucets were fine and was impossible because the pressure was already maximized) and even replacing the faucet altogether (which would cost $220 for the same model and not resolve the underlying problem). David diagnosed the problem as excess calcium build-up in the valves and he was right! He knew the answer when all the professional "tradesmen" did not. I also have what some people would call a "lemon" for a house. The contractors that built it did bad job. It was remediated but even after this remediation, I had problems. One of them was the balcony door which would leak water when it rained. I contacted the builder and they said that my second warranty had expired and they recommended how to repair it. Suffice to say that they were completely wrong and David uncovered some pretty shoddy workmanship and commented on the unorthodox remediation which would lead to the problem. I should have had David remediate my house. Overall, I am exceedingly happy to have stumbled upon this gentleman and would be pleased to refer him to others. He is basically the "doctor" you want for your house. I hope he stays in business a long time.

Here are the projects that we have used him for: 1. Installation of a Gladiator Garage storage shelf space - he placed it perfectly in the area that we wanted. It was well secured and has provided an extra storage space in our small garage. He checked in with us each step of the installation to make sure that we were satisfied with all aspects of the job. 2. Leak repair with mold remediation, insulation and drywall/baseboard repair in our dining room - he located the leak, cleaned out the area between the studs (including sealing an opening to the outside wall, which we didn't know about), treated for some mold that was present and then reinstalled the insulation, finished the drywall and painted the area. This included removing the baseboards and reinstalling/matching them, re-applied the orange peel texture and then painting to a perfect finish. You would never have known there was a leak there. He even replaced the outdoor spigot that was on the other side of the leaking pipe! 3. Roof truss repair in the garage - Jaime noticed when he was installing the garage storage shelf that the joints of a few of the roof trusses had separated when he was surveying the beams in the attic space. He showed us the issue and we asked him if that was something he could repair as well...he said absolutely. After getting the truss connector parts, he went up....pulled the joints together and repaired them....this is one of those hidden issues that can be catastrophic if left unresolved. Jaime will always be our "go to" repair professional. He has broad knowledge of residential buildings and is professional, pleasant and reasonable.....He is a 5-star resource.
