Walked in -- small spot, simple, but the vibe feels right. Warm light, quiet music, nothing loud or fake. Got a California Crunch Roll and a Salmon Roll. Both fresh, good texture, not overloaded with sauce -- just clean and solid. Exactly what you need on the road. Tried a strawberry Ramune too. Never had it before -- fun to open, a bit sweet, but actually pretty good. Service was easygoing. No pressure, no rush. Paid $26. Fair price. I'd stop here again. read more

What a little gem on the 10 between LA and Phoenix! First off, the decor inside is great. So much to look at after being on the road. Loved the posters and figurines. The outside seating area seems to have had a lot of thought put into it and was inviting-sadly, the heat was not. Service was super friendly and prompt. I didn't really know what to get so I asked for a little advice. The fresh made dumplings and a spicy roll were recommended. So, why not? Both were fresh and flavorful, and didn't feel like the usual greasy road trip fare. Reasonably priced as well. Will definitely stop here again. read more

Brand new establishment that serves sushi, poke, and ramen. Very cool decorations and lighting. This place can be hard to miss, as it doesn't stand out at the street. You order at the counter then pick a spot to eat. The sisters who own this place are friendly and efficient. I had the poke salad, which was tasty and filling. It had just a slight bite that I appreciated. I also had a sushi roll that was tasty, but not made correctly, as it fell apart as soon as you picked it up. If you're passing through Blythe I highly recommend a stop here. It's a Japanese restaurant and the food is great. We got the karaage rice bowl, curry tonkatsu rice bowl and chashu pork ramen. Prices are good and flavors are great. Chashu pork was very flavorful and juicy compared to some of the ramen shops I've had in LA and they give so many pieces of pork. Gooo!!! read more

I'm not a sushi person but my wife love Japanese cuisine! So we're truck drivers and our work brought us to Blythe California and we stopped at MI KITCHEN! And I had the tuna poke bowl and my wife had the GOLDEN DRAGON. ROLL AND SN ORDER OF CALIFORNIA CRUNCH ROLL! Man it was stupid good! The sushi is good and the Thai tea and the Japanese sodas are also good, this establishment is very clean and the service is great, I have never experienced any poor attitude from any employee here and It doesnt happen often but they have even let me eat in and order out close to their closing time and they were happy to serve me. The owner puts a lot of love into her new restaurant! The caring shows in the quality of the food! We came in the first few days after opening and the ramen was delicious but they were obviously overwhelmed by the enthusiasm from our tiny rural town . I have been in a few more times since and they are now running more efficiently and calmly. On my return trips I have enjoyed the fresh (raw) pokè(Poh-Kay) which was classically marinated and apparently fresh so I was impressed again ! The food was delicious! Ordered a tiger roll, Karaage chicken (Japanese fried bite size chicken) and tempura ramen. Within 10 mins of ordering, the food arrived to the table. I came by on New Year's Day. The owner was training a cashier young woman but the service was still great and quick. The place was small so great for small groups but more seating outside. Drinks were limited just bottled water, Japanese soda, and Thai Tea. If you're heading toward Arizona and need a pit stop for a quick bite plus wanting Japanese food, I say try it out. Best ramen my husband has ever had. My California roll was good. The edamame could have been warmer, but it was delicious. The price was a bit high for the overall experience, and there was a slight sewer smell when we entered the restaurant. Nonetheless we would stop here again. read more

Pretty much in Blythe you have nothing but Mexican restaurants and finally something different. I decided to give Mi Kitchen a chance and I was glad I did. I had the Curry Chicken Bowl and it was outstanding - lots of chicken and I could not finish the whole meal. The staff was very friendly and the inside seating area was really nice. I am a Blythe resident and have always felt saddened by the lack of variety in food choices in town. We've had a parade of Asian restaurants (a "Chinese" fastfood where this current restaurant now sits,a Vietnamese Pho place, and an Indian buffet restaurant) that had to fold up because of a lack of patronage. China Garden has managed to survive, maybe because it picks up the slack in everything "Asian". They have sushi, some Thai dishes and a Vietnamese style soup in their menu. Mi Kitchen offers a good sampling of Japanese dishes done well. Of particular interest to me is the ramen. It is very good. Every time my wife craves ramen, there is now a place in town that approximates the taste and quality of the ramen served in Los Angeles. This place is worth a visit. read more
