Turns out you cannot buy alcohol in Kentucky on a Sunday, and here I am trying to order a whole dang picture in broad daylight when my butt probably should've been in church if I was gunna be in Kentucky. The place was super clean. Nothing sticky icky or gooey. Outside of not offering up illegal alcoholic beverages on Sundays, our server was great! The food though. OMG. The FOOD! First, I don't know why anyone ever orders anything other than "The Special Dinner" I ordered that and 420 munchies were covered ALL NIGHT! It's like 5 entres for 12 bucks! The quality of every ingredient was noticeable. A simple cheese quesadilla is usually unimpressive-- not this one. Served in a crispy flapover tortilla filled to the brim with warm, smoky cheese, it was pure comfort food. The chile relleno was cooked to perfection, the mole sauce on the burrito truly great, the rice a step up from what you'd expect with real tomato flavor. Even the ground beef was good. Chips were thin, crispy and fresh, and the salsa had bite. I ordered a medium margarita and it was stout and flavorful. Our server was friendly, prices were fair, and everything was clean and welcoming. I've had a lot of mediocre Mexican food and this one was a fantastic surprise tucked away in an unassuming location. Well, they use doordash to make their deliveries. The driver showed up to pick up the order and they were rude to him and tried to send him away. She would NOT listen to me and even hung up on me telling me it wasn't her problem and kept insisting I take it up with Doordash. I was trying to figure out how to dispute the charge at this point because I had nothing to do with doordash when I ordered, but she wouldn't listen. I called back and the same lady, still being rude (this was at 3:15 in the afternoon when I ordered... no way were they busy) finally admitted they found my order... but it was my fault for telling her it was a Doordash order... (um nooo I tried to say it wasn't... doordash... repeatedly...) There was no genuine apology, no effort to make it right... no taking ownership of the mistake... she hadn't even bothered to look at anything but Doordash orders and clearly didn't want to be bothered to look for anything else.... When the order finally did arrive one frazzled delivery driver and I later, the burrito I ordered had absolutely no meat in it at all, afew veggies and stuffed with rice. I use to love this place. But I doubt I will be ordering from them again any time soon.
