I had chipped one of my top front teeth and had that repaired.....at the time Dr. asked if I was okay with lengthening them. I said sure but shortly after one of them chipped again. I had to pay an office visit to have it repaired - about 4 months later - it chipped again. I spoke with the desk person who said I would have to pay an office visit to have it looked at again. When I explained the situation I was told they would confer with Dr. and let me know if the office visit could be waived or not and none ever got back a hold of me. Since that time - both of my front teeth that she lengthened have chipped and the appearance of them make me feel really self conscious. My current dentist when I pointed this out said that the problem was that when Dr. Mahar lengthened my top teeth - she should have ground down my bottom teeth. She never did that. As a result my bottom teeth hit my top teeth in such a way that they chip. One of two things could have happened - one being she fixed the chip tooth without lengthening my upper top teeth or she lengthened them but shorted the bottoms under them. The fact that this was NOT done properly and them feeling like there is no responsibility on their part to make it right is very negligent. Now I have to pay to have the repair done again for the 3rd time. Very frustrating. Shame on them for leaving me like this.

I was ultimately a candidate for oral surgery. It could not have gone more smoothly, nor with better results! Very few people ever want to go to the dentist or periodontist, but after my experience during the last several weeks, I can unequivocally say that I would choose Dr. Charchut in a heartbeat if I had a need for similar treatment. I chose this office for their "BPA free" fillings well the Filtek they use is not even BPA free only Diamond and Venus brand is. First off the dental assistant was so rude because I did not want x ray's - she acted inconvenienced because they had to call my old dentist for x -ray's and then the Tristen Smith the dentist did not even INTRODUCE herself or shake my hand. She went on to look at my teeth and didn't even examine everything until I asked her to she then said "you have a lot of cavities" .. uh ok? so how many do I have? I had to keep asking questions to find out about anything. I was also told that they had "emergency clients" which is why they could not do my cleaning. SO GROSSLY UNPROFESSIONAL. STAY AWAY. There are much better alternatives in the EL area. The best part of the visit was the extremely nice front desk receptionist and props to her for putting up with that office. Maybe if they spent more money training in customer service than decorating their fancy office this place would be worth coming to.

I switched to this dentistry because I thought they were "holistic" like advertised. They called…read moreme 3 times to change my appointment. Once I finally got in they spent over and our doing xrays.They clear can't be that holistic when they took Ofer 15 X-rays and stuck my entire head what appeared to run like a CT machine, then probed my mouth with more devices that are sure to have heavy EMF. When they were finished they decided to tell me they weren't going to clean my teeth today because they didn't have enough time. The dentist and dental assistant said "by the time we realized you needed a full exam (still never explained what a full exam entails) it was too late to call you". So on top of the excessive amounts of rescheduling they don't even respect their patients time enough to give them a 30 seconds phone call. At no point in time did they say "sorry I should have explained that to you" or "sorry we should have called you" they almost made it seem like it was my fault. I am super bummed because I really wanted to like this practice. I will give them one more chance before I go back to my old dentist (who always went above and beyond to communicate scheduling and any other changes that may occur). When I first met the Oral Surgeon, he was really nice & seemed like we hit it off. About a few months later when I was there for my surgery, it was like I the surgeon was a different person, very cold. I got to go through the experience of being interrogated of why there even after providing multiple valid reasons why I chose for me surgery to take place there. While none suited his outlook, he reluctantly performed the surgery. Only reason I didn't run was the anesthesiologist was kind & nice (even calling a day after to check in on me). The flip side of the office staff, no one would give their name when I would call. Really got the feeling they were more cold than the surgeon himself.

I have had bad experiences with dentists before and Dr. Deyoung always takes the time to explain the procedure and what is going on with my teeth - as well as gives different options for treatment. She never pressures her patients into any type of treatment, and I haven't had any problems with the filling she did 2 years ago. The office and staff also goes above and beyond to answer any questions. When I had questions about the filling material (I was pregnant and am breastfeeding) Dr. Deyoung did the research and was very attentive to my concerns. This really is one of most pleasant offices around, and I would recommend Dr. Deyoung in a heartbeat for any dental work.

Dr. DeYoung has a very warm chair-side personality and provided excellent care of me today. It's been a few years since I'd ventured in to a dental office and was pleasantly surprised with the new techniques they used (high-tech and painless bite wing x-rays). First time I can remember leaving a dentist office that my jaw and gums weren't threatening to get even with me.
