Sadly, this was the one vendor for our wedding that created both feelings of disappointment and did not deliver. Everything started our great, communication was lovely, her designs were beautiful in the document she shared. Things took a turn when my parents were trying to contact her for help for the final payment, well in advance of the due date. She did not respond to our emails, not call us back. Then a couple days after the due date sent an email saying now we owe a late fee and a rush delivery fee. I called her again, she didn't pick up, then emailed expressing that we had been trying to get ahold of her with the receipts, and she did not remove the additional fees. Then in our final call reviewing the design, our conversation felt really negative. She talked down to me almost, and I left the call hoping that all the money we paid would be the worth, and not the off interactions. Sadly I was wrong. The day of, after many photos had already been taken pre ceremony, she came up to us and said do you want your bouquet? It's been in the room the whole time. In a condescending way, which I just imagined would not be on me to figure out the day of my wedding. The amount of flowers on our tables was less than we had discussed as well. Then the thing that truly I could not stop talking about is that the hurricanes for the taper candles which we paid for the rentals of were not put out, due to wind which isn't her fault, but I think what would have been good customer service and care for us on a day we paid her a significant amount of money is to either refund us the cost of the rentals for the candles that we didn't get to actually use, or to have brought alternatives so that candles were lit on our tables. It has been one week and that's the only thing I am still very disappointed about. She also left with the hurricanes so that when the wind died down, we couldn't put them up. We started to contact florists about 6 months in advance of our wedding day, and found it to be a bit of a nightmare. One company we'd used for bouquets and arrangements in the past took weeks to get back with us when we contacted them, and basically wanted to change everything about our vision for the wedding, including placement of flowers and other decor we were providing, and even changing some color schemes. That really wasn't what we wanted. Another company we really liked got back to us, but their minimums to provide flowers for even a Sunday wedding during the off season were way out of line..Nearly 1/2 the cost of what we were spending on the (upscale resort) venue, food and beverages combined! We then found Miami Centerpieces. Miami Centerpieces' website was basic and a bit unassuming, but when we looked them up on Instagram, we really liked their designs and the colors they used. A few days later I called and left a message, and Erika called me back within 10 minutes. We discussed what we wanted, I sent some "floral inspiration" photos to her via e-mail, and that same day I had a quote already..And the photos reflected exactly what we wanted! OMG, a dream! After a brief conversation with Erika, we signed the contract and paid our deposit. We really liked her designs and ideas, she seemed to be willing to work with OUR vision for what we wanted our wedding to be (as mentioned, that wasn't the case with all the florists we contacted), and she was able to make some modifications here and there to make the floral package fit within our budgets, without impacting the overall look or design. We met with Erika at her home studio a few weeks before the big day, when she even offered to supply hurricane glasses for our unity candle ceremony and take care of renting/supplying some pedestals for a few of the arrangements she'd designed for us! When we arrived at the venue about 2 1/2 hours before our ceremony, she and her staff were already hard at work, and everything they did was absolutely perfect and just what we'd hoped for. Erika is completely unreasonable and will take your money without providing any form or goods or services. Erika is a poser and fraud. Erika chooses to conduct herself unethically and you should absolutely steer clear of Miami centerpieces. Our wedding was cancelled due to COVID and my wife and I lost our deposit. We thought we were being reasonable by asking Erika to put our deposit toward a future event, however she chose to be a terrible person and not return our deposit. We even agreed to let her keep whatever remaining balance there may be left over. Additionally, went as far as to tell her we would pick everything up at a time and date which works best for her prior to the future event and she still chooses to be unethical. I have been left no other choice but to tell you to steer clear of Erika and her shady business practices. Have you ever met someone in your life that is so fake it's painful to watch? That's Erika. The way she speaks and acts when you meet with her for the consultation you'll pick up on it instantly. She is so uncomfortable in her own skin and insecure it made me cringe. She will sign every email message with "love and blessings" so at least when she is screwing you over and being unreasonable, it will be with all the love and blessings in the world and I find comfort in that. I hope you understand how you treat people matters and if one person reads this and decides not to do business with you, that'll be enough for me. I'm not even sure where to start with Erika. My one request was to see my bouquet for the floral sample, which she refused. Her floral sample was also $300 and clients can ONLY see 1 centerpiece. Therefore, we did not do the floral sample with her. In addition, we asked for rose gold Harlow stands since that was our apart of our wedding color palette. Erika told us that it would be $500 for her to spray paint them and that we would have to pay for the cost of rose gold and gold spray paint. We went ahead and bought our own Harlow stands and spray painted them rose gold. Erika then told us that even though we are supplying our own Harlow stands, that the rental price does NOT change...lol. To make matters worse, Erika also attempted to scam us. She had us fill out a form for rental items in case something of hers gets stolen, so we would have to pay for it. Makes sense. We fill it out and put down the billing address and the card number, expiration date, CV code, and sign the paper authorizing her to use it. She then tells us that she needs COPIES of the front and back of our credit card, as well as a copy of our drivers license. Never have I ever needed to give anyone a copy of my card to buy something..let alone my license. We refused. To say the least, be wary of Erika she's a crook and is very overpriced for her services as well. Also, she didn't include the groom's flower in my bouquet (as requested) and refused to fix it for me. She is also a horrible person to work with.
