Great landscaping, but try and get a spot under a tree, your air conditioners will appreciate it!

my husband and I RV'd from LA, up to Canada, across to DC, and now down to FL- this is the worst park we've stayed at. Admin in office is hostile, unwelcoming, and clearly don't give a crap about guests as people. I understand places like this have bad turn over but if we're still paying for services, you owe it to the guests to TRY to give them a good experience. We're not cattle; we're customers. Even if we come on a truck bed. No hot water in the front bathrooms. Nightmare shower experience once when they were cleaning. Pool is shut down. Mini golf and playground is dilapidated. We can't use the fire pit. No yard game equipment. Clubhouse is condemned. I ask- is there any fun camping activity we CAN do here? They were truly rude and difficult to work with. Go somewhere else, I wish I did! read more

Everything! Currently the clubhouse has been condemned And no one is working on it. The pool has been empty and construction has continued around it for the last 2 months. We just received notification that it will not be ready for the next 3 months. Many things are broken including benches, basketball hoops and bathrooms! Last year they replaced the water in sewer lines during prime winter season much to the dismay of the seasonal campers. This went on for almost 3 months last year. This campground doesn't even deserve one star. No pool, clubhouse was condemned, half the time the water is contaminated. Bathroom are a disgrace, no basketball hoop for years, the mini golf is destroyed, benches are broken. Management is rude and disrespectful and the maintenance does nothing. Goes through managers a dime a dozen. 10 years ago this was a fantastic park. So sad that Encore ran it to the ground. read more

Encore Everglades RV Resort full of lies Please read these activities. Not only have we been told there are no cards and games nightly we were told not to try to organize anything because we can't use the tables in the clubhouse that is for park activities of which there are none. There is no Bingo No Daily Exercise No happy hour on the deck no morning coffee on the deck No crafting No night time shuffleboard, the office isn't open in the evening to get the equipment to use. These are all lies! Sonia was very nice but would not budge with putting even a small table in the clubhouse. Instead suggesting to play boardgames outside in the wind and the rain. When asked when the property would be having an event so we may use a table we were told they have no events this time of year. We did ask about cancelling our six months stay so we could go somewhere else but because we paid for it up front and on time as they require we can not get a refund. Now we are stuck here with the lies from Encore and Thousand Trails once again. read more

Stayed here for several months in the winter. This could be a great park but IT IS NOT! The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I would never go back or recommend it to anyone. It is completely irresponsible to not give direct notice to quests that the park is under a WATER BOIL ALERT! I found this out one day as I happened to walk by the office and saw a notice that we needed to boil our water for even brushing our teeth! I do not go to the office everyday so this notice had been up FOR A WEEK before I found out. The park should have put a notice on EVERY RV DOOR! This is inexcusable!!! I had weird stomach issues that week too... probably from the BAD WATER! One day, the park cut down a big tree that was in the back corner of my site. No big deal, except they left wood shavings all over that corner of my RV. It rained soon after which made the wood chips wet which left red stains/spots. It was very hard to scrub off. The park regularly uses a blower to clean up debris on the ground. It would have been nice if they would have cleaned up their mess after copping the tree down a foot away from my RV. Several times I went to the office to ask a question. I walked up to the desk and found women behind the counter, chatting to each other. No one ever acknowledged my presence in any way, asked if I needed anything, or said that they would be with me in a moment... nothing, they just ignored me. The absolute worst customer service and management I've ever experienced. This is so unfortunate, I've been to this resort many times ever since I was younger however the staff really crossed the line and made our visit the worst. There was a very rude guest next to us by the pool area, instigating and trying to cause unnecessary problems while my whole family (8) were around claiming false things. We refused to give in to the problematic behavior instead we reported this to the front desk that there was people that were making us very uncomfortable. They refused to do anything about it. POLICE had to get involved, this was a plane discrimination act which I have never experienced ever before in my life and neither had my family which was visiting the location for the first time. If you are LATINO OR BLACK YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOMED HERE GRACIOUSLY IN FACT YOU WILL BE TREATED UNFAIRLY AND BE LOOKED DOWN UPON FROM THE WEIRD WHITE SUPREMACIST GUESTS AND RESIDENTS IN THE AREA. Will never recommend nor visit again. Staff involved: Sonia front desk - didn't do anything in regards to our situation, she would only say "I understand" "No manager is in shift" "that is a frequent customer that comes here" Gisselle front desk- she apologized to us for going up to us not knowing the situation and completely humiliating my family and I in the pool area, however she refused to let the other guest know that what he was claiming was completely false. " we don't want to go up to him and tell him anything and make things worse" that was completely wrong of her part, if there is a guest discriminating another guest that is a serious violation therefore it needs to be addressed. She also claimed that they would have someone from the maintenance department go to the pool area and watch over us since we were being bothered by the other guest. No one ever came it was a lie that's when we had to get police involved. Luis maintenance- Told is that we needed to leave the pool by 2pm in a very aggressive tone only to us because they were going to put a very strong chemical and they would have to close the pool area down. There was people there way past 2 o clock and kept coming! What was the need for that we stayed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and didn't cause any problems in fact we were there with my 91 year old grandma who had a horrible experience. Human Resources will be aware of this and I will write a report, we have enough racism in this world! read more

This place is a scam staffed by classist liars. After reviewing the policies for this campground my husband and I booked this place for a vacation in our converted RV. No where on the website does this campground state that an RVIA sticker is required for check in. However, after we booked, paid and planned our trip we were sent an email explaining check in that stated all campers must have an RVIA sticker. At this point we were well on our way into our 18.5 hour journey. My husband called and spoke to corporate which said each campground sets their own policy, and routed us to the campground directly. No one answered the phone nor returned our call for 18 hours. We secured alternate accommodations (at great expense, as you can imagine being last minute) for our first night. The next day we finally got a call back. We explained the situation with the website not having the policy but the check in email saying we'd be turned away without the arbitrary membership in a silly club and asked if we would be permitted to check in as we do not have that stupid sticker for our converted RV. We were told it was no problem so we drove on in. Upon arrival we were turned away. We asked why we were told on the phone we would be permitted to check in and the camp host attempted to gaslight us saying our phone call was to ask if we could modify our reservation. This was patently false. When we argued the host refused to listen and gave a canned answer of "it's corporate policy." This wasn't really responsive to what was being asked of the host, which was odd because there definitely wasn't a language barrier and it wasn't true as corporate had told us last night each campground sets their own policy. When asked what we were supposed to do being nearly19 hours away from home with no place to sleep solely because of the lies told to us by staff on the phone they told us it wasn't their problem. It's all a bit odd to act like this place is Soho House when it's an out of the way shabby motor home park with fewer amenities than a KOA, but that's the way you'll be treated if you book there. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. read more

The wife made a reservation and requested 50 Amp service. We understood they had no full hookup sites and understand that the Snowbirds are still here so we were grateful just to have a place for 5 days.On arrival the only sites available were 30 amp service, not happy campers "Would have been 5 stars if not for the lack of 50 amp service. Just means we can't run 2 A/C units and luckily the heat wasn't bad, only in the 80's. The park is very nice, after 4 days emptied our 4 tanks "4 Trips" which was convenient. game room and activities galore. Showers which I used once were slightly moldy bathrooms about the same, "Wont use the boathouse again. All in all a very nice park and would definitely come back. I just don't like the lie about the 50 amp service being available. Bring Fly strips, a lot of fruit fly's from the farms nearby. read more

TL:DR: lack of staff and flooded bathrooms! It's difficult to call this place a resort as there are all the amenities you need but not adequate access to them. We traveled Dec 21-23rd and without notice their office closed with no staff and no phone calls were going through. I saw other reviews saying they were escorted to their spots however no one was there to tell us where our site was or escort us. Sites: Numbering of the sights are not very visible, however the online map is accurate enough to get by! Annual and daily sites should be separated out because if you are coming to a resort for vacation you end up having to be quiet due to more permanent residents next door. Bathrooms: clean but outdated shower fixtures caused excessive hot water that take a long time to regulate. Also the drains were clogged and tons of overflow from the showers were FLOODING the area. smelled like sewage. We thought this was a one time experience, however we overheard maintenance saying "this is the spot it always backs up to" so it's probably a reoccurring issue. Laundry: has 24hr access HOWEVER you need to borrow a laundry card from the front desk and load money onto it at the desk too. since the front desk isn't 24hrs AND since the office was unexpectedly closed for 3days, we were left helpless. Pool: really beautiful! Maintenance lady nearby was very sweet, she did a great job attending to guests even though that wasn't exactly her job. Again, lack of attendants overall, which makes it hard to classify this as a resort due to being unorganized read more

Beautiful RV park. They have dumpster pick up at 4 am that lasts about 30 minutes and sounds like the world is coming to an end.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The park is clean and quiet yet lots and lots of campers! The people at the front desk and the guy that goes around in the little tractor are super nice and friendly. They help everybody to their spot. The campground is very safe. There's tons of things to do, pool, put put golf, ball carts and more! Definitely a resort! Most restaurants around are Cuban or Mexican. Homestead is very close by, cute little town. We would definitely recommend this campground. ADD ON: today we leave, and my husband wanted me to walk on this most awesome beautiful trail, 1 mile long, all around the park, completely paved, and full of absolutely amazing things like old growth trees, animal farm, a sweet plant garden, beautiful, beautiful palms! Be sure, and do this if you stay here! You won't regret it! read more

Drove out here from San Diego, California and stayed at this campground to be close to family. The grounds are beautifully kept and the employees can always been seen maintaining it's beauty. There's lots of outdoor activities and the pool is very clean. They also have a nice path that goes around the property for walking or cycling. Overall a great experience. My only complaint would be that not all sites have a concrete patio slab so I spent a lot of time cleaning out our rig due to wet, dead grass clippings. read more

The lady in the office is rude and completely unhelpful. Horrific customer service. They only have one fire pit for THE ENTIRE CAMPGROUND and if it's reserved you can't make a fire to cook your food at all. The campgrouunorganized, extremely tight with hardly any space for the tent and car. The tent space is right between the RVs and a fence. Don't bother staying here if you are a mini pig owner .. even with our certified pet paperwork we were kicked out. On top of that we were harassed by management and threatened they would call animal control. Showers are horrible to boot and our adjoining neighbors were loud and obnoxious. The place is very nice for a campground.very well maintained..but be prepared to be harrassed by the staff enforcing the rules. 1) dont have more than 2 cars 2) quiet time after 10 pm..which I get but they wanted us to be quiet before then..you might as well put up a sign of no talking. 3) if you advertise locally for business but then continue to harass your customers because they bring visitors ,then maybe you should not advertise for local business. 4) be prepared to be bored because of strict rules enforcement..they just want you to go there with one car and stare at each other because if you talk you get thrown out. 5) I did not want to go here but we also felt they were being a little racist. 6) will not be back..we will give our business to someone who will appreciate more. read more

Very nice RV Park situated among groves of plant growers just outside of Miami. The sites were nice, but a tad tight. The pool and recreation areas are very nice and neatly maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful and recommended several restaurants in the area that we checked out. This place is actually awesome, especially after 2 KOA stays. My gripe, however, is the online booking process and this place's rules. We booked online, answered all the questions accurately, gave our credit card, got a confirmation, saw our card debited. And were told when we arrived we couldn't stay. We were not a class A motorhome. Ours is a converted shuttle bus, nice looking not junky at all. Nowhere in the sign in process does it say conversions are not allowed. It isn't a campervan or any of the other choices. It asks nothing about Class A or anything. Motor Home. I clicked on motorhomes because it has a motor and is our home on the road. Motor Home. Just like all the others there. Anyway, since it was late, we were allowed to stay one night, but they threw us out the next morning. Yes, we were issued a refund for one night, but they took our money for two under misleading circumstaces, and I am really furious. Its hard to find places around here. We were looking forward to spending more time here. Now we have to head north before we are ready to go. read more

The have a nice pool, tennis courts, laundry mat, kids park, ping pong tables, many nice showers, nice well kept grass around the park, check was was SUPER EASY & FAST, huge gazebo for everyone to use, tire pressure machine! From the moment we pulled into this place, it looked OK! Lots of space, only the third rv resort we have stayed at since going full-time! We were pure first timers, so .... first impressions were good. Things went downhill fast, however, as we found out just how "not happy" this place is. We never received even a smile from the front desk. It was all "oh, I think we still might have a spot for you, and oh, you have a 30amp spot with no sewer, will that be ok?" "Well, we have a 50 amp Airstream and we reserved with sewer with Thousand Trails." -- "oh, Thousand Trails.... eeew. They always mess up the bookings". "We'll see if we can find a spot for you" At this point, we literally had no where else to go. They reluctantly let us have a spot, acting as if was the only last spot on the entire resort and we were intruders and lucky they let us stay. Once we got situated, it was OBVIOUS there were SO SO MANY OPEN spots in here, open spaces everywhere, for the whole two weeks. To top it off, our next door neighbor's sewage was literally raining out of the bottom of his rv, not fixed with any tubing that was actually attached... literally excrement and black and gray tank refuse just seeping onto the ground. Seems he was a long-term tenant and couldn't be bothered. Still leaking out a week later as I pulled out of here. read more

We stayed here a month. The pros: charming retro feel. Spacious sites. Lovely pool and hot tub. Nice mile long shaded path around the property for biking or walking. The store is fine. Laundry ok. Free coffee in the morning a plus. Nice new mini golf. The cons: yikes!! Why would people return here for a whole season year after year with that foul sewage stink wafting across the whole park? Depending on the wind, it can ruin your pool time, a game. Why don't they deal with that? read more

My wife and I RV full time. We stayed at the Miami Everglades Resort for 1 week, and... we couldn't wait to get the heck out of there. I read a lot of good reviews on this park, and I just scratch my head. What the heck, do people not have a sense of smell? Let me go down the list, starting with the big issues; I'm not exaggerating. Half of this park smells like human crap. The sewage treatment plant on the premises is old and has major issues. You can smell it all over the park. To make matters worse, the treatment plant is connected to the office, right next to the laundry and rec room! Wow, let's hang out there! I cannot imagine being put at a campsite nearby it. I physically could not handle it. (BTW, You'll see very old reviews from a year or 2 ago talking about the smell, so this problem has obviously been going on for a long time.) On a lighter note, here are a few minor issues I have with the park; I play pool, and they actually charge $.50 per game. To make matters worse, they have no chalk. I went to the laundry room, put my blankets in the washer, poured laundry soap all over them, and... realized it didn't take coins. (It uses that irritating card system.) So I went to the office, which had just closed. The lady came to the door and said I had to pay $5 for a card, and then I could pay more to put $$ on the card. I said OK, here's $10 in quarters. She said she couldn't take quarters. It had to be cash. Quarters aren't cash? Sigh... so I had to bag up my soapy blankets and drive 15 minutes to a laundromat, wait an hour, and drive back. All because the office lady was too entitled to count quarters. Crappy service. I can live with the pool table, and the laundry/service. Whatever. But bring a lot of scented candles if you stay at this place. read more

We stayed here for three nights. We got in late the first night and the late arrival package gave us a campsite someone was already in - looked to have been there several days - but a call to the late night phone number resolved things. The park is very well maintained - grass cut and trimmed, facilities very clean, pool and deck chairs were immaculate, etc. The staff does a great job! Oh and all the reviews that mentioned a smell, it seems that's been resolved. We didn't smell a thing and we walked all over the park. So the reason for three stars is because if you came here for all the activities they've advertised, good luck if you want to use them after 5pm. The store closes, streets roll up and all the long-term guests - about 90% of the RVs - are in for the night. The place is a ghost town. You can't play miniature golf - no equipment available. The ping pong tables in the rec room have paddles, but no balls. Everything's locked up and the staff seems to have gone home for the night. Too bad because this is an amazing property with cabanas, a huge pool and facilities galore, but you could hear a pin drop after 5pm - and it's July! If you're a senior who wants to be left alone, you will love it. If you're a family looking to make memories with the kids at a campground they'll never forget, then keep on driving. read more

This is a great campground located in the Redland agricultural area (West Miami). It is one of the quietest campgrounds you will ever find in Miami. The campground is VERY clean and the staff for the most part is friendly and helpful. The staff takes security and the rules of the campground very seriously, so be sure to adhere to the 10 MPH speed limit. The restrooms (comfort stations) are very clean however they are not air conditioned so in the summer they tend to be somewhat warm. The pool is large and well kept. Most campsites are grass, there are a limited amount of paved sites. Most sites have plenty of room. Shade is hit or miss so if you are looking for a shady spot make sure you ask in advance. This is a great spot for locals as a weekend get-a-way. read more

This is long but because I value everyone's reviews I have to write it. This place is just okay but I can see how this place could easily be 5 stars. Be prepared to be nickeled and dimed during your stay. First of all, I called to make a reservation but no one returned my call. Should have been my first sign. So I booked on line. THE POOL IS CLOSED. It says it at the BOTTOM of the web site. If I had seen that we would not have come and certainly would not have paid almost $50 a night. If they would have answered the phone I could have asked someone. The office was already closed at 6:15 so we had no choice but to stay. We could not do laundry because you need a card. This is fine, but please make them available to arriving guests. Oh and you have to leave $5 deposit on the card and if you put too much money on the card you do not get it back. If you want a cup of coffee in the morning (free at every RV park we have been to since the state of Washington) you need to pay for that. Want to connect to the internet? You got it, you have to pay for that too. Want to watch any sports on the cable? Nope, no ESPN and the reception is fuzzy. The smell is there but it does not permeate the park, stay away from the office and you are okay. The sign says "prepare to have fun" as you enter. I would say they do nothing to make that happen. Yes, there are nice grounds and a closed pool, etc. but the place has a miserable feel to it. The staff there does nothing to make you feel welcome and wanted. Sure it's "off season" but that is no excuse for such a poorly run place. These are all fixable and would make the experience better. At the very least, answer the phone. This is an encore resort, after this experience I have no desire to stay at another one or become a member. read more
