Well the day before the party they canceled Elsa, the face painter canceled the day of the party saying she said a flat tire, and only Olaf showed up. The characters that we hired did an amazing job for my daughters birthday party. They showed up, brought all the fun games, makeup and performed for my daughter and all her friends. Up until the day of the event my communication with the owner, Sean Kaptaine at The Party Entertainment Character, Inc. aka as Miami Superhero was positive. After a misunderstanding with contact info details, everything day of seemed to be settled through text and one phone call. The costumed character texted me saying they would arrive at 4:30 PM. I politely asked the owner through text that we scheduled the appt at 5. Sean proceeded to text me by saying, "he had other events with deeper pockets" and "that we needed to have an hour flexibility for the day of event". I called him to explain the situation because of my mistake in scheduling at the wrong time I contacted all the guests to come an hour early. All good, but the day of when they said they were coming at 4:30 PM, I decided to call Sean back to explain the situation. Before I could get any words out he was instantly screaming and yelling at me. He used very profane language without and any regard to my event and that I was a paying client. Needless to say he ended the call by saying that the characters were not coming. I hung up and about less than five minutes later I get a phone call from one of the characters that they would come closer to 5 PM. It was an emotional rollercoaster and all occurred within two hours of party. Please do your research and make sure that the names of the places you are researching don't have similar names, because that's what happened to me. I looked up the company and saw the good reviews of a company called, "Miami superheroes". Which was very similar to the one we hired at Miami Superhero. Every year I host a kids Christmas party and charity event at my home where we collected toys for the local orphanage. This will be our 7th year. I hired a Santa character from this company last year to provide 1 1/2 hours of entertainment for the kids. Typically at the end of the Santa entertainment we pass out toys (goodie bags) for the attending kids. The Santa that showed up looked like he was 15 years old, but we figured since he is young he will be energetic and entertain the kids. However that was not the case, he did not know how to wear the costume. His mustache and beard were under his chin and his costume was on backwards. My guests were calling him COVID Santa. He lined up all the kids (about 40) and started playing rock, paper, scissors one by one with each. The kids were so bored they just left the area and started doing something else. My kids (7-9years old) were sooo embarrassed that my 9 yr old ask me to just pass out the goodie bags. None of the kids wanted to take pictures with him so I just orchestrated a group picture and asked him to leave after about 30 min. The following Monday I reached out to the company and spoke to Cher. She referred me to Pamela I send pictures and videos and after a month of back and forth talking over the phone, I sent a text and explained to them that I know things happen and if money is an issue, they can give me a credit since I host this event every year. After about a month they stopped answering my calls and replying to my text. I waited in hopes that for my event this year they would do the right thing, but I was told that all they can do is give me a discount on a character. I asked if they could give me another service for the credit amount. I received a text from Pamela and the owner that business is not good (I WONDER WHY) and they cannot do anything since it was a long time ago. The worst experience ever!!!! I spent $275. That was a waste of money. The games they played with kids were boring. They stayed in one spot of the room the entire time they were there. They didn't interact with crowd. They didn't have a playlist ready and they told me to find and play the music on my phone. I'm really confused because if you perform at kids parties, shouldn't you have a playlist and use your own speaker. The owner was very nice at the beginning and then the day before the event he had a nasty attitude when I called to confirm that they were coming the following day. My sister reserved the services of this company months before my nieces quinceniera. They first agreed on a set amount and a deposit was required to secure services at the time of the event. Two days before the party my sister contacted the business owner to confirm. The business owner told my sister the previous price quoted was not going to be sufficient due to the fact the actual character changed his mind on the price previously agreed. Keeping in mind my sister already put down the deposit. The owner said that she needed to pay an extra $100 or the character would not perform at my nieces party(2 days before the party). My sister although upset and against my advise decided to just pay the extra funds feeling the pressure of the event being only 2 days away. The character and his assistant arrived 15 min late and came completely unprepared. They spoke ill of the crowds energy (being a bunch of 15 /16 yr olds) telling my sister that the music that was playing was trash. They were rude, unprofessional and tacky. This place is a scam. The owner runs numerous similar scams and makes outrageous claims about himself in an attempt to gain your trust like being a medical doctor, philanthropist, model, etc. If you read the conversations with him posted in other reviews, it's obvious what he really is. The scam is to advertise impressive entertainment services with upfront cash payment. Once he has your money, the entertainment is revealed to be garbage and not what he advertises at all. He uses cheap, beat-up costumes and the entertainers do not do anything other than stand around for a little while and then quickly leave. When you call to complain, he begins his belligerent rantings with childish name calling to try to intimidate you and threatens to post your personal information and slander your name online if you do anything to stop him. He does this by operating a website where he posts this information about his victims. He has managed to find ways to have most of the negative online reviews about him removed to continue his scams. I used this company to rent out a Marshall paw patrol character for my daughter's birthday party. I was told that Marshall would do games and activities with the kids for the hour and he did not. Thankfully I had set up a craft table for the kids so they were able to do that. And on top of that, the costume was super dirty. Marshall had black marks and stains on the head. Horrible! Peppa Pig showed up an hour late, asked me to play the peppa soundtrack...from YouTube, which was 5 short songs. She danced around, while I had yo tell the kids to dance around because she came alone and obviously couldn't talk. Once those 5 songs finished, I repeated them 3 more times (a waste of 30 minutes and the kids all abandoning her from boredom, including the birthday girl) before I finally decided to stop because of the embarrassment in front of all of the other parents at my party. I told her we would be singing happy birthday. She took pictures with the kids, but when it was over, I asked her if she had anything else planned, she decided to grab the cake pops off the table and pass them out. When she tried to leave 15 minutes before her hour was over, I finally lost my patience. I asked for my $125 back after she told me that she'd forgotten the "games" in the car. Her skit should be on Broadway! The kids at the birthday and adults were all entranced by her performance. The kids were so interactive and followed her missing glass slipper. Worst company I have ever dealt with. First problem with this company is The owner "Shawn". Below i will attach a copy of our text messages bc you have to truly see it to believe it. I reserved 2 transformers for my party for 3:30. At about 4:30 i began to call the company bc no one had shown up or called. No answer. Then at 4:45 one of the guys showed up and said that he didnt know what happen with the second guy that i had to deal with having just one character. I tried calling the company and kept being promised a call back which i never got. By the time he got dressed he didnt actually come out until 5:15 and my party was over at 6. I specifically asked when reserving what he would do and they said he would entertain the kids, play musical chairs and basically provide entertainment for one hour. He did not do any of the above. He just stood there waiting for people to come to him to take a picture. It was a complete waste of money and only added stress to the party. (And btw only one of the lights in his eyes were working so not even was the costume on point.) so after 35 min of just standing there he was done i explained to him how unsatisfied i was and he basically said to just call the company and make a complaint. I tried calling kenya at 3057787097 and she no longer answered the phone or messages which i will also show you at the end of this review. So the next day i decided to call her from a different number and she answered She then gave me the owners name "SHAWN" and number and told me to call him. So i left a message and an hour later i got a call back. I expected someone respectful to call and apologize for the inconvenience but instead i got a hot headed man full of excuses saying he had sent me a copy of a citation number to show that he had an accident and thats what created the whole mess and went on to threaten me and said if i dare write a negative review he will take my credit card and billing info and use it against me.
