Carlos Ramírez repaired an old Chippendale camel-back sofa whose solid hard woodbase had collapsed. I had purchased the antique sofa 40+ years ago at an auction in Miami. I wanted to save it. The work required was a combination of carpentry, upholstery & furniture restoration (removing & reinstalling all the springs). Carlos Ramírez responded to my email promptly. He was able to assess the work through a number of detailed photographs I sent (where I tried to explain what was wrong with the sofa.) Within 24 hours after submitting my request, we agreed to have the work done in my home. The work was completed as promised on time. I could tell from watching him work that he wanted to ensure I was pleased with the end result. I chose Carlos Ramírez based on the perfect 5.0 rating he has earned on Google. I now add yet another 5.0 rating. If you require ANY work having to do with furniture, especially valued pieces or even antiques, make sure you hire Carlos Ramírez. Trust me; he's that good.

Manny Mendez, aka Florentino, the owner of the company…read more He presented himself as an expert and recommended a specific material, assuring me it was durable and resistant to dog scratches. The same material he uses for boats. Based on his recommendation, I agreed and paid a 50% deposit of $1,000 via Zelle on August 2, 2025. When the furniture was delivered on August 8, it arrived with visible oil stains and the material scratched easily, contrary to his assurances. When I raised these issues, Manny dismissed my concerns and later removed the furniture, saying he would correct the problem by reupholstering the two chairs. Instead of correcting the issue, Manny stopped responding to my calls and texts, and later demanded the remaining $500 in cash only before allowing me to even see my furniture. This led to a dispute that required police involvement. Under supervision, I was finally able to inspect the furniture and discovered the material had not been replaced as promised. In the end, I was forced to pay the balance just to recover my furniture, which still had the same problems. Manny denied responsibility, acted unprofessionally, and did not deliver the work he promised.

He stated the work would take about three weeks. Since then, despite multiple calls and text messages, there has been no response and no updates. As of September 24, 2025, the chair and the money remain with him, and we have not received any communication. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others not to give belongings or payments to this company.
