Leo was able to upholster my antique sofa so incredibly well - that I now have a sofa from the 1800's that looks better than it ever has- Leo went out of his way to delicately and meticulously enhance and bring out the beauty of my sofa- Leo is very fair with pricing and is a professional and expert in this area of furniture upholstery

I can't say enough about the superb job Leo did on my 40+ years old dining room chairs. The fabric was torn all the way down to the wood frame of the chair and the seat cushions were no longer comfortable. Leo came to the house with hundreds of fabric samples to choose from. I made my selection, and four weeks later, Leo returned the chairs in like-new condition. His craftsmanship is superb! He did such a precise job on the complicated welting and on aligning the pattern on every chair. It's easy to see that he took his time to make everything perfect! I spent at least 3 years looking to replace these DR chairs, but the quality of more modern chairs didn't come close to what I bought over 40 years ago. I am so glad I found Leo. Manny Mendez, aka Florentino, the owner of the company…read more He presented himself as an expert and recommended a specific material, assuring me it was durable and resistant to dog scratches. The same material he uses for boats. Based on his recommendation, I agreed and paid a 50% deposit of $1,000 via Zelle on August 2, 2025. When the furniture was delivered on August 8, it arrived with visible oil stains and the material scratched easily, contrary to his assurances. When I raised these issues, Manny dismissed my concerns and later removed the furniture, saying he would correct the problem by reupholstering the two chairs. Instead of correcting the issue, Manny stopped responding to my calls and texts, and later demanded the remaining $500 in cash only before allowing me to even see my furniture. This led to a dispute that required police involvement. Under supervision, I was finally able to inspect the furniture and discovered the material had not been replaced as promised. In the end, I was forced to pay the balance just to recover my furniture, which still had the same problems. Manny denied responsibility, acted unprofessionally, and did not deliver the work he promised.

As of September 24, 2025, the chair and the money remain with him, and we have not received any communication. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others not to give belongings or payments to this company.

So I had this really old chair. It was a gift from my grandmother. I looked up for upholstery received a couple of call backs some with every high price. Upholstery by Leo called the next day he came to see the chair and gave me a fair price. It took him 2 weeks to finish the job. When I saw the chair I was left speechless, I still can not believe that is my old chair. I highly recommend Upholstery by Leo. He is very professional and keeps his word.
