Ok. Here I go. This might be long but so worth it. I usually don't write reviews at all but had to. We are new to this lifestyle & was more interested in watching than participating anyways. MV was our first experience so we had no expectations. Before I give a review, let me say this...to truly appreciate one of these clubs, you need to visit others. The first time we went, it was our anniversary and my wife and I wanted to experience going before heading on our anniversary trip. We arrived at valet parking where we eagerly waited to see who else would be attending in the cars in front of us. We are in our mid to late 30's & had heard only really older folks attend these clubs. When the brand new Land Rover was exited by a very young couple, we both looked at each other with a sigh of relief. Then behind us was a very younger sexier couple which made us feel really good about our choice. At the front door, we were greeted by 2 professional funny as hell bouncers like you would see at any SoBe club out there. These guys were so cool to talk to & respectful to me & my wife. Then we went in. We had signed up in advance only which was very cost effective. I suggest doing that very much. When they found out it was our first time, a very tall, very pleasant sexy young lady with the most pleasing demeanor & might I say fun personality asked to show us around. As we nervously followed with our eyes wide open, I was pleasantly surprised how big & open the party areas were. She showed us the back room area by the lockers, and the selling point to us was the fact that they had a very obvious laundry area & the smell of cleanliness of chlorine bleach was evident. Which to us was somewhat comforting. All areas were very clean and my wife who is like a germ-a-phobe showed some signs of "ok, I feel more comfortable" on her face. There were 2 club areas. We hung out mostly in the back club which played less Latin music & more contemporary R&B, Hip Hop & Reggae. That DJ really made us feel like we were in a typical nightclub. We actually danced most of the night & almost forgot where we were, if not for the canopy beds starting to be filled with active couples. The staff was great & when we went in the back private area, a lady who worked there walked around with folded sheets changing the private rooms. That was comforting. CON: Our only drawback or "Con" if you want to call it that, was that there was not as much diversity as we would have liked. We are a Black couple & we only saw a couple others when we visited. It is more of a Latin club with a majority of Latinos, which is cool but kind of made us feel a little standout-ish. Even though honestly most people were very pleasant to us as they walked by with a smile here & there. Because of it we made a big mistake. Someone suggested Trapeze. When our membership was over at MV, we decided to try Trapeze. That was a huge mistake. Yes, Trapeze was a lot more diverse, but they were way more expensive, lacked an emphasis on keeping the place clean, they were not as friendly, no tours, and they were the epitome of seedy . We really missed Miami Velvet so we are going to sign back up & go back. We are so annoyed & upset that we wasted so much money at the other club & not taken advantage of our membership the first time at Miami Velvet. For the money we pay to go to South Beach, we can get the music, the people, the sexy fun time, and as much as we want to drink from the bottle we bring, all in one place for half the price at Miami Velvet. I have decided to practice our Bacahata & Salsa to get acclimated & keep up with the Latin crowd. We might not be fully in the lifestyle, but we like that there is no pressures on Saturdays. Looking forward to our next visit really soon. This is the place to check out if you're looking around for these kind of clubs. Don't waste time anywhere else in SoFla. read more

Miami Velvet Rocks!!! My name is Diamond Kitty and I'm an Adult Performer or what you can call a Pornstar. I was doing a convention in Miami back on May, 2010 and I had the opportunity to meet some of Miami Velvet members while they were promoting there. They invite my husband and I to come to the club and see if we like it, well sense not many people at the club new who i actually was. i had the opportunity to go under the radar and meet really cool people that later became our friends. Well like in every other place there are good lookings one and the ones not so good looking, but everyone is cool. My husband came up with the idea of going back to Miami Velvet, so I contact them thru their twitter account (@miamivelvet) and they reply back to me super fast. The same day i was put in contact with their marketing director and she was very helpful and very excited to help me put my birthday bash together. I had my PR do a press release and send it to all the major adult magazines and website news, MV also post it on their site. order some post card for me to sign for the fans that were coming to see me and do some promotion on their part. They even give me the information of a place that i was going to be able to order my adult theme cake www.rockstarpastries.com. I was very impress how we put the event together only two days before my party was suppose to happen. When I got to the club the night of the party they had set up their VIP Area for my closed friends and I. They decorated and had the bartender providing us with champagne glasses, mixers and much more, we were provided with anything that we need it .They also provide me with a security person to be with me all night long . I really don't have any complain at all about Miami Velvet or any of the persons that works there. I actually want to thank everyone that help me put my amazing birthday party together in such short notice. 1st. of all ,writing this review might be a big waste of time because the club eliminates all bad reviews & only leaves the good ones!!,this club is great at covering all the negative things that happen in there....me & a few of my co-workers went on a Wed.night..we noticed the club was empty it was mid night & maybe 20 couples, by 1.45am i counted 8 heads in the club, we left an went to club space it was now 3am & space was on fire super full...Went back on a Sat.night to velvet, we walked in at 2.55am & we looked around & said where is everybody?..a staff member said go to the back rooms big party, we did & again we said were is everybody?..i walked into the bathroom, saw & heard a few women in there mid 40's sorting dope & saying ( man this place sucks,there's no 1 here, we need 2 go some were else )..i told my girl's & we quickly left & went back to space, were its always super packed....All we saw @ velvet was old,ugly,fat,nasty people, even the ones in there mid 20's look like garbage . they all looked like they were waiting around for that young-gorgeous model to walk in, so they can have sex with her & have there life long fantasy ..this place is down right ,depressing,negative,dark & sad!!!,,the energy in there sucks!!.we are never going back ( none of us ) & we don't recommend this club to no one..save your $$$ & time,miami is full of great clubs, & velvet is not 1 of them!! read more

My girlfriend and I were vacationing in Miami. We had never been to a Swing Club before, but thought it would be exciting to try something new. We researched the area before we arrived and decided on two clubs to attend. One being Miami Velvet. We went on a Wednesday (single guys night) so it was not overly crowded. We were not as nervous as we thought we would be. After a few games of pool and drinks, we began to loosen up. The vibe was nice and so were the people. The club was bigger than we thought it would be. My girlfriend entertained me by using the stripper pole. We eventually found our way to the private rooms in the back. There were some guys that wanted to join us, but were not ready for such an encounter our first time out. The guys understood and left us alone, but continued to watch. We really enjoyed ourselves and the no pressure atmosphere. We plan to go back very soon and indulge ourselves to the fullest. We are rating it only three stars because WE did not explore all the possibilities the club has to offer. However, I am sure that after our next visit, we will give it five stars. Although the price for membership ($90/month for out of town guest) plus nightly fee can be a little steep. The adventure you experience is going to be worth it. read more

we have been to this club a few times, we liked its great in general,it just has a few flaws in our opinion---for one,the door fee on sat.night was $ 65.00, we think that's very pricey!,perhaps that's why the club was half empty on a sat-night?--we think the door fee for a sat.night should be more affordable,like $25.00,- the $65.00 fee has certainly keep'ed us & our friends away-- we have been to many B.Y.OB. clubs all over the northeast & the door fee is always $20 to$35 on a sat.night--our second complaint is,what happen to all the chairs? they are all gone!,you have no choice but to stand up at all the bars,try doing that when your 55 years old & surgery on both legs!--our third complaint is, by 2.30am on the sat,night we walked in the main dance floor & it was empty, every body was in back seeking sex, & the club was empty,our suggestion is as we have seen it up north, close some or all of the back rooms & let the folks perform the sex in the main/front area,it would be more inviting & eventful when you walk in at 2.30am, & everybody is having sex all over the place,than then seeing an empty club..if these 3 flaws would be corrected we think it would be the perfect club.. read more

Well in response to rick t. Unattractive? empty? This poster is a fake. What night did you go? When they were closed? Tonight is the Friday party, which is big but smaller than saturday. Already 100 couples RSVP, whihc is 200 people and then add an additional 60-100 people who didnt rsvp on the member site. The place is packed every friday and saturday to where the valets have cars buried 3 deep. So again, the 1 star poster is a total fake. Weve been to clubs all over and Velvet is the youngest and hottest crowd there is. Its a dark laser filled club atmosphere, girls are mostly latin and hot, club is all 7's to 10's not an ugly face in the crowd. So again RICK t is a total fake, because it is always packed with 70-130 RSVP couples (double that for people). Best music of any club weve every been crowd is 21 to 35 generally, which is young for swingers, girls are hot, owners are fun cool and always in the crowd. We travel to Florida several times a year and always enjoy a Saturday night at the Velvet! Miami Velvet is a great mix of members and a truly beautiful facility. The club is the nicest lifestyle club in the country and our favorite in Florida. It offers everything a major market swingers club should and more!!! On the weekends, it is always busy and has a very diverse membership. I would guess the average Saturday has 300 + people. It is close to the airport and better yet, it is close to South Beach, where you can find us when we get the chance to get out of NY. The only other swingers club you will find us at is Scarlet Ranch in Denver.....another amazing club! read more

First time ever going to a place like this. It was their foam party and it was AMAZING! We were a little nervous going in but my boyfriend and I felt so welcome. Pretty much everyone was beautiful and friendly, nothing was off limits, and even with 300 people there was plenty of room to dance and mess around. Most people already knew each other and it seemed like this club has created a really cool, open environment for people to just get loose (or not, no one was pushy or rude) and have fun. We had a blast and we hope they decide to do another foam party. We intend to go back often! read more

Went to Miami Velvet on Friday become a member in 5 minutes and ONLY paid $25.00 to enter, Front desk customer service was great they even gave me a tour of the place. The club is all new and very clean have to say we saw the hottest couples we have ever seen, The music was great, the bartender was really nice and very sexy!!! The crowd was sexy and very friendly we ended going to the back room and had a blast... We def. will return to this club well worth the cost. Miami Velvet is without a doubt one of the best swingers club in all of North America. I've been to other swingers club and they are childs play compare to MV. Whenever i have friends come in from out of town and they want to go some where fun, with sexy people and great music miami velvet is where i always take them and they love it. This place is out of this world. If you're looking for a good time then this is the place to be. It's BYOB (they don't sell alcohol), so it definitely the most cost effective South Beach alternative there is. You just pay the door fee and then don't worry about anything else when you get inside. They have themed parties a couple of times a month, and have great DJ's to keep the party going. You won't catch me stumbling around Washington Avenue anymore... but you can catch me here! read more

We've been going to Miami Velvet for over 8 years now.. our car seems to get there on auto pilot.. there is no other club I would rather be. The people, the atmosphere, the staff are all wonderful.
